I had received the phone call saying that I took out $1,200 on a loan in 2011. First of all I don't do any loan because I do not have job! Second of all, I wouldn't take any loan that I cannot pay with my disability income. And I would know if I gotten loan and I would have paid it off.
I getting calls from IPS saying I defaulted on a payday loan with SGQ. Loan amount 520.00, they said I took out back December of 2010.. Which I did not take out a loan. They said, they sent multiple letters regarding this debt which I never got. They know where I work at, know my Social Security number, email address and who I bank with. Now they are calling my family members home phone and calling my cell phone. I talk to an lawyer and said its a scam and fraud.
Received a message to contact this company as they had a complaint against me. When I called the gentleman who name I don't even remember told me I owed monies to SGQ Processing and when I said I had never done any business with this company. Was it operating under another name? He gave me Bahama Marketing and I told him I had never done any business with a company by that name either. He got upset and said, "Well you owe them money" and they had subpoenaed Citibank and they said that I did write a check for this loan which I knew I hadn't and that they were willing to take legal action and I did not pay them today.
I told them I had never received any letter to verify or deny any loan with this company and that I was willing to go to court about it and he tried to threaten me by saying that we were on a federally recorded line and it was recording that I was being pursued. I said okay and goodbye and hung up. It all sounds like some scam.
I received a call from an outside collection agency claiming I had defrauded on an PayDay loan from this company nearly 4 years ago. The account they claim the money went into was actually closed because I had numerous issues with the bank and fraud. According to them, I would have signed up for this loan, which they could not even confirm the amount of, all online. They state there is nothing I would have signed. Though it is possible I could have accidentally signed up for a loan from them (based on the reviews of this business it sounds pretty easy to do).
I find it hard to believe that a loan would accrue interest and fees for NEARLY 3 YEARS. Legitimate lenders and credit card companies do not continue to bill on an account that has not had any payment activity so long. They charge the debt off for the balance due at the time. This agency now claims I owe over $2K on a loan that was apparently somewhere between $400-$475 - of course she had no idea what the real amount was.
When I tried to work something out and asked her to send me something in writing about the loan and explained that if I validated that I did in fact take the loan out that I would work out a payment with her, but absolutely would NOT pay any more than the amount that was owed, she said that there is no way it could be less than $600. I know I never took a loan out for this amount and even if I had taken a loan out (which I do not recall doing), there certainly would have been payments applied between the time the loan was taken and the time the payments stopped (because I closed the account). It cannot be possible to owe this amount and it is in violation to not offer to send something in writing.
This company works with some very bad agencies. When asked why I have not been contacted in over 3 years about this alleged debt, she claims that she's sent me things. That is clearly false and if they were calling and did not leave a message then I would not return the call. If a call comes in from an unknown number and a message is not left or the message is an automated message with no identification of the company calling, it's pretty much common sense that you do not answer the phone or return the call.
Poor business and frankly no one should be able to get a PayDay loan over the internet without having to sign and return something with a signature and a copy of a DL. The agency 'claimed' I would have requested this loan all online via email. When I stated that anyone could have easily done this from my email, she said, "Well I am not here to debate that, but you owe the money." Restrictions should be made on these PayDay loans so that when the debt is bought and sold these agencies have something to actually go on other than just scare tactics. Also, legitimate agencies do not hang up on you and say, "I'll see you in court."
For the past 2 weeks I have been receiving phone calls from a process server attempting to serve me legal papers. Based on the information I researched (caller's phone #, contact info, etc), I believed it was a scam. Today I mistakenly answered my work phone and spoke to the lawyer involved in the "case." Lawyer (Arthur **), stated that a claim for breach of contract was being pursued and he was calling to see if I would make a payment in order to avoid prosecution. He had my name, previous address, previous email, date of payday loan info (12/13/2012), and name of payday loan company (SGQ Processing). I did not confirm the validity of any such loan or biographical data and advised him to send me this information in writing (mail) so I may review it. He then told me that this was a time sensitive matter (for whom I wonder).
I advised him he needed to provide time for a full and accurate review so he then said he would send it to my email (my old email which I do still use). He agreed to send me an email and said good luck (which I have heard in previous scams). As of yet, no such email has arrived. I am no longer concerned because I have already checked the judicial records database for the county he mentioned and no such records exist. My advice -- do not pay him anything. If you have a legitimate debt, you will receive written notification. Also, a process server will not call you to tell you they are coming to see you. And a lawyer (even a debt collection lawyer) has rules to follow. He cannot offer to settle over the phone without providing you written proof that you owe the debt and allowing you 30 days to review it. The pressure tactics will not work with me. Don't let them pressure you by threatening legal proceedings, charges, etc. You have rights, use them!

I received a loan from SGQ in 2013. They sent my account to American Credit Resolution to collect a remaining balance of $800, so I was told. The account was PAID OFF in November of 2014 and American Credit Resolution just withdrew $142 from my account. These companies are working together to scam people out of money and it's not right. Unfortunately, both companies are out of business. I filed complaints with the BBB, credit card company and the police. Everyone out there... be careful!
I received a $250 loan from them May 13,2013. After about 6 weeks of making payments on time, the payments stopped being taken from my account. So I thought I was done paying them. A whole year and some change later, I got a call from the Meyer's Group stating I needed to pay off a loan or be taken to CIVIL court. Up until today, I never knew who I was paying. I was told by the Meyer's Group that I was paying money that I owed because SGQ switch their processor and the payments stopped. They never reached out to me to start payments again or anything. Who's fault is it that their system failed? Not mine why am I being penalized for their mistake and their failure to make sure that everything was ok? Not mine. I will be taking further action because this is the definition of UDAAP and deception. Something has to be done.
Also the info that they gave me for paying off the loan was that I would end up paying $575 for this loan. I spoke to the Meyers Group and they actually tell me that I would have ended paying them $1250. This is so unfair but it's ok because I will be contacting the BBB on them as well!
I received loan for $400 in November and should have been paid off by the end of January. I am having all payments stopped by my bank from this day forward. Please do not attempt to retrieve any more funds. I will not be doing any more business with your company again and will advise my associates to do the same.
$200.00 was deposited in my checking account and I was not able to contact the business to have the money removed from my checking account. Eventually, I spent the money. The business did not make any attempts to remove the money from my account nor did they email or call me to inform me that I owed them any money. Yesterday, I was contacted by a lawyer who threatened me with arrest. I was told I could only avoid this by paying $540.00. I was in a panic and went to Western Union and sent the money. Supposedly, this would clear up my debt. Today, SCQ Processing removed $90.00 dollars from my checking account. The lawyer who contacted me is not answering my questions and I can not get in touch with SCQ Processing. I feel like a fool. I think this whole thing is a scam. I am afraid that SCQ Processing will take more money from my account. What can I do to prevent this?
My wife got a phone call from a lady describing herself as investigator Moore. She told my wife that I needed to call her back before 12 pm. My wife in turn called me and told me what she said and I in turn got the information from my wife and called this lady. She informed me that I had taken out a payday loan on 12/23/2008 and if I didn't pay $540 by 2:00 pm today, 06/06/2011, I would have charges brought against me for internet fraud and they would put out a warrant for my arrest.
I was at work at the time and I didn't know what else to do so I called my wife back and told her what she said. My wife had to borrow the money in fear I was going to jail and Western Unioned the money to them. We have never had anything like this happen before and after calming down, my wife did some research on the company that she said she was collecting for and they have had several complaints brought against them.
I have never taken out a payday loan but they had all my information, the last address I lived at, DL#, S.S. #, the bank account that it was put into. She told me that this was done on 12/23/2008 and the bank she said I had was already closed out and we had a different bank. The bank that we had we opened that account in October of 2008. I don't know what else to do or where else to go. I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and with the Attorney General here in Florida. I don't know where else to turn.
