I found JG Wentworth to be the most straightforward and easy to deal with among the options I explored. The entire process was seamless, and I had a dedicated contact person from the start of my application who was there to answer any questions. This personalized approach really worked for me.

JG Wentworth's approach was very supportive, especially in assisting me through their debt relief program. They facilitated negotiations with my creditors to create manageable settlements We started the process just recently, and already, one creditor has agreed to a settlement, which makes me optimistic for the future.
The program is designed to work over what could potentially be a five-year span, depending on how much debt is tackled and how much remains to be paid. During this time, I contribute to a savings account, which JG Wentworth draws from to meet the agreed settlements. The timeline is flexible, as I have the option to pay more if I manage to pull together extra funds.
I was especially impressed with the representative who assisted me from day one. His humility and nonjudgmental attitude were a breath of fresh air, which made discussing my situation much easier. This positive initial interaction helped set the tone for a reliable journey out of debt.

I was trying to get a emergency loan and JG Wentworth popped up. I was thinking about consolidating some of my loans anyway, so I went along with them. The enrollment process was pretty smooth. I talked to Capri, and she asked me a few questions. She looked at my debt, then she consolidated one large loan and two credit cards. I had to pay upfront $250 and $125 every week until they came up with a settlement. And they came up with a settlement for OneMain Financial. Everything is fine so far and I've been pretty good with tracking my progress. If anything changes, they email me instantly and there is no waiting. Once they got the settlement for OneMain Financial, they emailed me on how much they settled for and how much my monthly payment for that settlement would be.
At this particular moment, working with JG Wentworth is reducing my credit so that I could pay back my loans, my overdrawn loans, my personal loan, and two credit cards that are in the fall. So they helped me save about $5,000 out of a little over $9,900 loan and I can't complain about that. As far as communication, if I have a question, I can reach out to Capri personally through her email or phone number and, she contacts me instantly. Also, I was getting phone calls from the OneMain Financial thing and they said it would take about 60 days for the settlement to go through. But it took a little less than 60 days and I was happy with that.

I turned to JG Wentworth Debt Relief because my creditors were relentless in chasing me down. I initially had some success with another company when I borrowed money to clear my debts, but my financial strains led me back into the cycle. In February, I decided to give JG Wentworth a try after researching online and talking to one of their representatives. The guy I spoke to seemed convincing at first. The program I'm currently in is supposed to last about 30 months, with deductions from my paycheck.
So far, the service has been satisfactory. Whenever I've called them, they've been helpful, advising me to simply direct any creditor inquiries to them. However, they left out the details on what exactly to say when that happens. Even though the staff reassured me not to worry and have been supportive, I’m cautious about the drop in my credit rating. They did inform me that it would initially dip, but assured me it would recover once payments commence.
If a friend or family member were to ask, I'd mention the supportive experience. It's important to remember not to panic about the credit score drop. They've been pretty good, especially the customer support team. In terms of service experience and pricing, they’ve met my expectations, rating high on my scale. I feel at ease knowing that my review could help others navigate through similar decisions.

I'm very pleased with JG Wentworth because they allow us to get out from underneath the enslavement of the debt. I've experienced outstanding service from them and must say I'm very pleased. The company has been instrumental in alleviating the financial pressures I faced, particularly from my creditors such as Capital One. Before making my choice, I was already aware of JG Wentworth's reputation as a stable and reliable company, especially since they are known for advancing cash to individuals with pending settlements. This long-standing reputation for reliability influenced my decision significantly.
Once I spoke with Kevin, their representative, who was patient and thorough, I was convinced I made the right choice. They've been diligent in helping me out of a tight spot and saving me a considerable amount in interest, which can sometimes be as high as 30% from credit card companies like Capital One and Credit Fresh. To be honest, those interest rates feel almost criminal, and I'm grateful for the assistance from JG Wentworth. They have not only helped reduce my debt but also recalibrated my repayment structure, making it more feasible. Even at times when I felt like the debt wasn’t decreasing despite making significant payments, JG Wentworth provided a viable solution and relief. Although I'm still in the process of working with them and receiving their help, I can already see the benefit and progress. I would easily recommend them.

I sought out JG Wentworth Debt Relief Services due to a distressing experience with identity theft, which severely impacted my credit score. Initially, my credit score was over 700, but it dropped to around 550 due to unauthorized charges. I also run a business, which made the situation even more challenging as I felt compelled to pay off debts that were not mine. However, JG Wentworth seemed to offer me the assistance I needed with their debt consolidation program. The person I interacted with left a very positive impression on me. She took the time to understand my situation and even offered to pray for my resolution, which I found quite comforting and a significant positive gesture.
The program I enrolled in is set to run for 36 months. While I haven’t yet set up my initial payment, due to delays on my end, the process was straightforward. My previous experiences with scams made me a bit cautious, but the enrollment itself was smooth. The customer service was excellent, and I felt well-supported throughout the initial interactions. Regarding payments, they offer the option to set up auto-pay, which I plan to arrange. Overall, I would highly recommend JG Wentworth based on my experience, rating them 5 out of 5, even though their service might be considered somewhat expensive. I also found their service worth the price due to the peace of mind they provided during such a difficult time.

I started with JGW almost two years ago. It has been an absolute nightmare. They did not handle things like they should have. Now, I am being sued because they did not settle quickly enough. I wish I had never started this process.

I’m very disappointed with my experience with JG Wentworth. I had to cancel my program after losing my job, and since then, the company has completely refused to provide me with any record of how my money was used. They removed my access to the online portal right after I canceled, so now I can’t see what payments were made or where my funds went.
I’ve asked multiple times for a statement by mail or email showing what was paid with the money I sent them, but they continue to refuse. This feels extremely unfair and unprofessional. I just want transparency about my own payments, but instead I’ve been left in the dark. I would strongly caution others to be careful before enrolling with this company.

Signed up then canceled within 3 days. After canceling they still deducted money from my account. Called them and they said the money will be refunded. They refunded the money but deducted fees out of it. When I called and argued that the cancellation policy stated no obligation if I canceled within 3 days they stated the fees were already taken out and a full refund is not possible. I am so glad I did cancel and I am only out 40$ instead of much worse. Scam!

Initially, the customer service was commendable, which gave me confidence in proceeding with them. However, I encountered a significant issue that wasn't clearly communicated upfront. To participate in their program, I found out that I needed to stop payments to my creditors, which led me to become delinquent. This was a surprise since my credit was in good standing prior to joining the program. Unfortunately, this requirement negatively impacted my credit score, which I later discovered was part of their strategy to negotiate with creditors. Feeling dissatisfied with my declining credit, I decided to switch to Christian Credit Counselors. They offer a similar program but with the key advantage of allowing me to continue making payments, which prevents delinquency and protects my credit score. This experience was frustrating and has now left me with the task of repairing my credit.

Initially, my credit was quite good, around 720-730, but I was overwhelmed with debt and needed a solution. After discussing it with my daughter, who is a CPA, getting the services of JG Wentworth was a reasonable step. I had seen them advertised and I had received something from them.
The program has been somewhat effective, freeing up a bit of money, which was crucial for me. While I haven’t been in the program long, and sometimes forget to send in all necessary documents, the process has been manageable. I’ve let them handle the monthly payments, which has been a relief.
Customer support has been helpful, and the quality of service has been satisfactory, especially since I've never gone through something like this before. I would recommend JG Wentworth to others, although I hope not to need such services again in the future.
