Kim and Marcus were not only amazing to work with but they were also very knowledgeable and do have great experiences with new home buyers. I'll always recommend Jersey Mortgage Company to anyone looking to buy a home. They work with you step by step all the way until the final closing, and seeing that the sale goes thru. They are a great set of team worker to do business with. I give them 10 stars.
WOW, such a nice review of Marcus and Kim - we will be sure to share it with him and his team at Jersey Mortgage.
Congratulations on the closing of your home loan and we wish you all the best!

I was planning to build in Roselle and the builder said my lender’s name was Marcus and to contact him to get a pre-approval even though I already had a pre-approval. I reached out to Marcus but I changed my mind about building in Roselle. My experience with Marcus was so great that I asked if he would help me with my loan even if I wasn’t building with the builder. He said that it was fine. His team with Jersey Mortgage was very accommodating. They were phenomenal. Marcus was a great guy, great at following up, and he looked at different scenarios where I can get my mortgage approved. He was on point with everything. From the time I wanted to buy, the process took a month. The underwriting process could be improved, but they were just doing their jobs. I would refer anyone to Marcus and his team.
Thank you, Denise for the kind words about Marcus and his team at JMC. We are so pleased you were happy with your experience at JMC.
Congratulations on the closing of your home loan and we wish you all the best!!

Willie ** and his team are the best. They were very prompt in any response necessary for this deal. The quality of communication between us made this a very easy transaction. Even though I don’t plan to move for quite a while, I will recommend Willie to anyone who needs a mortgage.
Thanks, Tyler for the kind words abotu Willie - we will be sure to share them with him and his team at JMC.

We were purchasing a second home and got a loan from Jersey Mortgage. We worked with several different people and they were pretty accommodating. Everyone was very professional and courteous. With the few different mortgages I’ve gone through over the years, this was probably one of the easiest ones to go through. I would definitely recommend them.
Thank you, Wayne for the kind review of JMC - we really appreciate it

I had a really good experience with Jersey Mortgage. It was the most convenient for me as I was qualified for a pre-approval with them. So I went ahead and got an FHA loan from them. The application took a month. Steve was my rep and he helped me out a lot. I knew that he was doing other things but he was there for me all the time. He answered my questions and got back to me whenever I had a concern as soon as he could. It was good working with Jersey Mortgage.
Thank you, Ivan for the nice review of JMC and Steve Martinez!! We really appreciate it and wish you great success in your new home

Jersey Mortgage is a company we had dealt with in the past, so when we came back from Arizona to Jersey, we contacted them and we did business with them. They guided me through everything, so the application was quite easy. When everything was finalized, the application and underwriting process took about a week and a half or two weeks. They were efficient, on top of everything and kept me informed.
I worked with Cathy and she provided good advice. She was very knowledgeable and very courteous. I felt very comfortable working with the team at Jersey Mortgage. They did a good job. We shopped around a little and there was one company that was not being very straight to us, and Cathy pointed that out. She showed us where we needed to go and what to look for. The advice alone is worth a million and knowing that you're dealing with honest people is important.
Thanks so much, Ken for writing such a nice review!! We will be sure to share it with Cathy and her team at JMC.

I bought a house through Jersey Mortgage and the application process was pretty straightforward and relatively streamlined. They ran my credit and checked my spending habits, and I had to provide them with employee information and proof of income. Everything was also simple to do with returning documents to them. And because they do a lot of things, I tried to be quick. The application didn’t take that long, too. In a matter of two weeks, we squared it up on what they wanted. The only thing which they could improve on that stands out to me was explaining about the co-signer process differently. Initially, I thought the co-signer was just co-signing, but I ended up having to put the co-signer entitled.
Other than that, I felt comfortable working with Jersey Mortgage. The process was pretty good because Willie, the mortgage broker, was very accessible and easy to talk to. He made it easy to deal with explaining anything that we had questions about and gave information back within a short space of time. Sharon, the loan officer, verified whatever I sent with whatever it was for she was requesting. But, the best part was we went through two deals with Jersey Mortgage where one fell through and they handled it pretty well. They were also able to extend my rate a few times whenever the sellers weren’t cooperating and that was nice of them.
Thank you, Chris for the nice review of your experience with Jersey Mortgage - Congratulations on the closing of your new home - All the best!!

My brother used Jersey Mortgage, and they were pretty good with him. I went with Jersey too and went with the conventional loan. The process was okay. However, they need a little more communication between the loan officer and the paperwork handler ‘cause they asked me for stuff they already had months before. But the loan officer was definitely on top of her game. I was impressed with how she handled the numbers and all the stuff that you need, and she was not stuck on little things, but she dealt with it pretty good. She’s been doing that for a while. I also got a co-assignor, so eventually, I gotta have to refinance and get the co-assignor out of the mortgage since he doesn’t live in the premises. The rate was okay too.
Thank you, Mr. Hernandez for the review!! Congratulations of the recent closing of your home loan with Jersey Mortgage! All the best

I was looking for a place that would house my mother and myself. I did a web search and found that Jersey Mortgage has a good reputation. They gave a lot of mortgages and they were interested in doing 203k which not everybody does. I got the original mortgage about three years ago but I had been going through this process with Jersey Mortgage for almost four years.
There was a lot of paperwork during the application process but once I got used to reading them, it was easy to understand. The way that the numbers are presented was a little confusing initially but once I started reading it a little bit, I got more used to the language they were described in. Also, the reps were very helpful in explaining what was going on if I had a question.
Then the initial mortgage process was pretty fast. We were trying to get the initial closing date that was given by the seller and we had to extend it a couple of times and rework the figures. Sometimes, we had to resubmit the paperwork at a different mortgage. We also tried both the 203k and the conventional loan. Once we decided on something, it took four to five weeks.
The lending process also went fine but they could be a little bit clearer about what the actual numbers were because there were so many different figures in terms of the down payment and the actual interest rate which changed a couple of times depending on what the mortgage was. But when I asked the question, the explanation was given. The 5.75 interest rate was a little high but I understand why. Part of the reason was my credit history and I had to get it with a 203k because the seller did not want to sell the house if it wasn't 203k. Also, the sellers, the banks and the property owners were a little difficult to deal with and they didn't make an easy process.
But I felt very comfortable with the people I dealt with at Jersey Mortgage. Even though there was a lull, I stayed in touch with the reps and I told them my progress. Gina, the initial person that helped me, has been there with me since the beginning. When I wasn't quite as active, she would call me and see how things were going. Kristen, the other rep who worked with me a lot, was the same when she got involved a little later. She was always good about calling, checking and looking into things for me. They were good about helping me find somebody who might be helpful in the process in terms of contractors.
Thank you, Anthony for the kind review!! We agree the process can be a bit overwhelming at times and we work every day to make it easier so we appreciate the candor on that as well. We're so pleased tbat you were happy with our services and wish you the very best in your new home!

Getting a loan is difficult. The mortgage company would need your credit score, your income and your bank statements. But the people at Jersey Mortgage showed me how to do it. The application process was pretty simple. I gave whatever they asked for. But there was a lot of paperwork and going back and forth, and the process took a couple of months. Still, they were great. The loan officer was committed and it was pretty good working with him. He didn’t charge me anything as soon as I got the loan. Plus the rates are good.

I used Jersey Mortgage to buy a house and their application process was easy. I got the FHA loan and the whole process was quick. The rep was at the top of his game and he knew what he was doing. Working with him felt 100% comfortable and I would recommend him.
I wanted to buy a house and my realtor suggested Jersey Mortgage. I worked with Denise and she was amazing. She took care of everything for me and told me exactly what I needed to do. Plus, everything was quick and the rate and terms were fine. I’d work with her again if I had to get a mortgage again, and I'd send anyone who asks about Jersey Mortgage to her.
Thanks so much for the kind words about Denise and her team at Jersey Mortgage - we really appreciate it!

I was buying my first house and before I even found my house, I started the process with Jersey Mortgage. I felt like it was what I needed to do once the opportunity arose. Also, my situation is unique because I’m a freelancer. I had to coordinate with the mortgage processors, in terms of getting in paperwork and verifying e-mail, what I make on that stuff so that I could get approved. The application was a long process and my being a freelancer dragged it out a little bit longer. But the people at Jersey Mortgage were great and extremely helpful. We even had multiple long-winded conversations throughout the process as they said I may be new to it.
I got the loan through FHA and the application and underwriting process took a few months. There were a couple snags that happened with third and fourth parties. Some were dragging their feet in terms of getting info that I lost a month, just chasing people to make sure they talked to one another. But the guys from Jersey Mortgage helped me in that process as well. I had this guy named John and he was great. Then Kim was the processor and at times, they worked with me on a daily basis. They were easy to reach and there was constant back and forth between us to make sure we were on track.
Thank you, Patrick for the super review of JMC!! We really appreciate it. We will be sure to share your review with John Nevolo and his team at JMC

I wanted to have my own home and looked into a mortgage. Jersey Mortgage was the first one I've tried and they were helping me pretty good. The application and underwriting process went well for me. Jersey Mortgage is a good company to help you. They went through with me step-by-step. They were hands-on and the customer service was wonderful.
I looked into getting a mortgage to buy a condo and my realtor recommended Jersey Mortgage to me. I reached out to them and got pre-approved. Then, they contacted me about the loan and it was approved after I sent all the paperwork and documents they needed and I closed. We were trying to close soon and the process took a week a half. Also, the whole process was very streamlined and easy. I worked with Chris and if I needed something done, it was done within a very reasonable time. And if I had any questions, I could just reach out through e-mail and they were answered very quickly. I would recommend Jersey Mortgage and I would tell people to use the same people I used because they were fantastic.
Thanks, Dominick for the nice review you posted about Chris and his team at JMC - we will be sure to share it with them

I got the conventional loan from Jersey Mortgage and the process was not very difficult. The application was straightforward and I signed all my documents online. It was nice being able to log on on my computer and do it real quick. I got the pre-approval done and once the offer was on the table, the reps sent over a request for information which I sent over.
I was working with a young fellow and it was the first mortgage that he worked on. Since it was my first time, I didn't expect that I would wanna go through the process with somebody that young but knowing the sales manager and having him made sure everything was going smoothly, it was really great. He kept making himself available around the clock even on the weekends. I had his personal number so I would text and ask questions about the process or any documentation that they were asking for. If I had a lot of questions, I would see if they were available for a call and we would informally discuss and all the answers were very thorough and had plenty of details. They definitely knew what they were talking about the whole process.
They would provide any feedback and made sure that I understood exactly what I was doing and if I had to spend on anything, they made sure that I understood where it goes. They updated me constantly on the status of where we were at, kept getting information not only from myself but from any of the other parties involved such as the agent or any of the attorneys. The attorneys were a little late getting us a few things, but other than that, the process went quickly.
I shopped other interest rates as well to see what Jersey Mortgage's cost would be compared to everybody else. Ultimately, Jersey Mortgage's rate was a little bit higher but I went with them knowing that I was gonna be taken care of and how responsive they were. I knew I could count on them for a really smooth process, which it was, and to answer my questions. The offer was officially accepted in October 31st and we ended up closing December 17. The whole process took 45 days 'til close and the application and the underwriting took 20 to 30 days.
I was purchasing a home and one of my friends is a loan officer at Jersey Mortgage. I decided to give her a call and her team just fired off the checklist of everything that was needed, so I was able to provide the data. I'm more of an online type of person and I loved the online application process. It took me just a few minutes to do. Anything else that needed my signature was the same process, just a quick email to me and whenever I open the document, they would prompt me to exactly what I need to focus on and what I needed to sign. It was easy for me to fill out and I like that.
The underwriting process took a while because based off of everything I provided, it seemed like they were always coming back with something else I needed to provide. I was dealing with the underwriters until the very end. However, there was always constant communication as to what I needed to provide and the length of process was very quick. It felt like only a month from start to finish and whenever there was something critical, I would get a call, but most of my interactions with Jersey Mortgage were done through email and that's how smooth the process went with them.
Another thing is that the rep, Tanya, was able to call me anytime on what was required. There was a situation where the attorney I was using recommended getting my properties paid and she called me on a personal basis telling me it's not required for the loan and it would cost me an extra $500 if I go forward with it. I liked that personal touch when I was dealing with her.
Jersey Mortgage also knew that interest rates were gonna go up and one of the things they were trying to do to speed up the process was to make sure we got something closer to the lower rate. When I looked online as to what other companies were offering, it seemed to be in line with what I got. The process took a little more than a month, which was a lot faster than I expected. It was such a great process and if a friend asked me, I'd tell them that this is who I use and I would highly recommend them.
I wanted to buy a new house and Jersey Mortgage was recommended to me by a friend. During the application process, everything went by very quickly 'cause as soon as they requested the documents, I sent them. Their rep, Bob, always answered the phone if I needed information. If I have a concern, within an hour or two, they call me back. Jersey gave me a good rate too.
The process with Jersey Mortgage was easy. It wasn't ruthless at all. It was not like everybody says it is. I did it over the phone and then online, for sending the documents in and interacting with them. Whatever they requested, I sent in. The loan officer I worked with was very nice and accommodating. Whatever information I didn't know, she gave it to me. The rate was fair and they did everything great. Everything went smoothly for me to get a mortgage.
I spoke with someone who manages all the loans with Jersey Mortgage and she said that she could provide me the best rate. I believed her and pursued with this. They sent some documents that I needed to fill out and sign. I also needed to send them some proof. I also went there once and signed a few documents. I wanted them to improve on a couple of things though, like the rates and the paper. They have a different department and if I have any query, I have to send an email. If they can create an app where I can see with whom something is, I can put in the full detail and someone will respond to me. That would be really valuable to me. Otherwise, I need to reach out to my loan officer again and again about what will happen. She will have many customers like me. Some will be critical. Some won't be critical. So with all of it, she won't be able to give me time.
Jackie was very clear on everything though. She did not hide anything until the last point. Except now I'm not sure whether I got a good rate or not. I was told that I got a very good rate, the least in the market. But there is no way for me to find data whether they provided me the best rate or not. The rate gets varied depending depending on a lot of things like the area and the property. But if I'm not cheated on that then she was very good. I decided to take the home loan very early and due to some discussion between me and my seller, we decided to extend the date for closing. So the loan process took a long period, like four months. But I didn't find any hassle or issue with Jersey Mortgage.
My realtor told me that she dealt with John, the rep at Jersey Mortgage. She said that he was the guy to go to and that they had the best price. I trusted my realtor and since that was what she said, I went with them. John was wonderful. He answered all my questions as much as he could and he was very sweet about it. Also, I could call him just about any time. It was nice because I'm sort of a first-time buyer on my own since I got divorced many years ago. Before that, my ex took care of all of that.
But I have a business and I was also unplugged by another company, so I had to get all my forms and whatnot from 2016. It took a little long getting all those and it was laborious. Then they said that they didn't get something clearly and asked me to resend it. That was too much, but that wasn't John's fault, that was somebody else's in his office. It made me wonder why I can't just get pre-approved. They knew how much I have in the bank and I I have a good job. Other than that, my experience with Jersey Mortgage was great. But now my mortgage is no longer with them and I recently got a letter saying that it was transferred to Freddie Mac. Everybody is swapping over mortgages these days but I don't mind provided my rates don' go up.
I was living in a rental condo and the owner of the condo decided to sell it. I bought the place and for that, I needed a mortgage. A real estate agent recommended me to John of Jersey Mortgage. The process was excruciating and I couldn’t believe the amount of information that I had to supply. It seemed that I had to account for every dime I’ve ever gotten as long as I’ve been alive and it seemed to be irrelevant to the future. It seemed odd. The process took about three months and it would’ve been nice if it were sooner, but I was told it would take about that long, and that’s about how long it took. Although, I wish I got a better rate. The rate kept going up the longer the process took and it kept going up by 1/8 of a point. I wound up paying about 3/8 of a point or even 1/2 of a percent on the mortgage than had it gone smoother. Other than that, the loan officer was nice. He answered my questions promptly and efficiently whenever I had any.
Jersey Mortgage was actually able to meet mine and my wife's schedule. We're a two-income household so we both work and they were able to meet us in the office at 7 o'clock. We also have a son and they were accommodating to allow us to bring him. Chris, my mortgage broker, gave me his cellphone number and I was able to text him with whatever questions I have and get all my questions answered in a timely manner. I was also able to come to his office at times to work with mine and my family's schedule. From start to finish, it was a great experience. He was able to also try and find me the best rate at the time so I wouldn't just lock in to one thing and have my credit report pulled 100 different times. Most of the time, I would send an email and get it right back. Otherwise, I would get a "received" and it was cc-ed or I'd get, "This person will handle that. They'll get back to you shortly."
Jersey's application process was extremely simple. They adopted an e-signature process and we were able to do everything online with just a few clicks. After signing my end, I could log in to see if my wife had signed or if any documents were missing. So, everything was right there. This is the third time I bought a house and I didn't have to come in and sign everything. However, they don't control the rates. We built a new house and unfortunately, between trying to get permits on our house, we had to re-lock and re-lock and we did lose our rate because it was a longer process for us. But that's beyond their control. The rate on the mortgage I received from them was good. I recommended them to all my friends and people I know that are looking for a home.
My realtor recommended me the loan officer at Jersey Mortgage. She told me that the loan officer is very good at doing his job, and so I decided to stay with Jersey Mortgage. I went with their FHA program and the rate was average in that it was what everybody was giving. However, the process of obtaining the mortgage was not too easy. The underwriting area is so busy, and they wait until two days before the closing date to review all the paperwork that I sent them two months in advance.
The underwriting department needs more people working there. In my case, there was just one lady and it seems that when she needs to close alone, she opens everything two days in advance. So, even though I was calling her from the time that I sent her everything, she would tell me that she was working on another closing. And when my closing was right in the date, she would set to see my documentation. When she opened everything, it was too late and we needed to change the closing date. Before that, she was fast. It took two days to review everything. But to open the mail, it took two months to review the information. That was very bad because in the end, everybody started to blame somebody. I was also told that I didn’t send anything, even though I did.
When I was searching for houses, Jersey Mortgage contacted me and I met with their representative, Gina, and I really liked her, so I stuck with them because she was very helpful all the way. She was very accessible and was always willing to answer any questions even if they seemed silly. She was patient with me and I felt very comfortable working with her. The application process was cumbersome though and the whole application and underwriting process took about a month and a half. We had a little hiccup at the end but it was not Jersey’s fault. It was more with the IRS. Other than that, it was a good experience. Jersey Mortgage was a good company. Everyone answered my emails really quickly and they explained things to me easily. You should give them a try.
I was referred to Jersey Mortgage for my second home. The application and underwriting process went well. Their rep was helpful and very straightforward. Buying a home is stressful in itself but they made the process of purchasing a home as easy as they possibly could considering the amount of things that are needed in the process. I would tell others to go with them. They're a good company to deal with as far as purchasing a home.
Chris from Jersey Mortgage did the loan for my stepdaughter and he was highly recommended so we also went with him to do our loan. He was a nice gentleman and we knew him like a family member. He was very helpful and he did a terrific job. I was very satisfied with him and I am lucky that I had somebody like him. The application process of Jersey was low cost and there was no problem with all the paperwork and questions but it was a little surprising that there was a surcharge of $4,100. I was a little disappointed as it sounded like they do not want to tell me.
Whenever I asked them about locking on the interest rate, they told me that I’ll be okay and not to worry. Then towards the end, they waited like three weeks before closing to say that they locked me at a rate and it was more than I expected. I felt locked up that way and I cannot go anywhere else. I felt that it was not fully honest. On the reviews of people on Google, everybody was complaining about this matter and Jersey Mortgage should take care of the issue.
We were trying to purchase a home and chose Jersey Mortgage who I thought was an adequate company to help us pursue our dreams. Obtaining the mortgage was a pretty efficient process. They wanted my last pay stub, tax returns, assets information for them to go forth in the process and I was able to provide all the information that they required. It didn't take that long and I like the entire process.
I was in communication with their rep, Cathy, throughout the entire time. She communicated with us pertaining to what our potential mortgage would be and then helped us and then guided pertaining to what house we could afford. She also made sure that my concerns were resolved before anything were to occur. I was very, very comfortable. It was very transparent. Anything that could have been of a hurdle, Cathy prepared us for. I recommend using Jersey Mortgage and also using Cathy. We have a house, so we're happy about that. I went through a really good process when it came to obtaining my mortgage.
Jersey Mortgage is my mortgage company and I like them. I have gotten pre-approved from them in the past, and I decided to go with them again. The application and underwriting took about 45 days and their application process is simple. Laura is my loan officer and she's very timely and responsive. I was very comfortable working with her. The rate and terms of the mortgage were good too. Overall, my experience is great.
I got into Jersey Mortgage by mistake. I was getting a bunch of ads and I clicked on one, then I got connected with the agent. We started talking and it made sense. We looked at a few places initially. He said what was available in New Jersey. We went suburban and in Jersey City, then we started looking around. The conversations got fluid and kept going. The application was fine and the most remarkable thing of it all is it was all done online and on the phone.
I was able to do everything online and when they asked for documents, I was able to scan them on my phone and push them into a Dropbox and email them off. The process was easy and very straightforward. However, it was also cumbersome because things changed. They needed new records and clarifications, but it was amazing how I did everything on my phone as opposed to faxing things or mailing stuff in. In the end, the rate was fine and the terms were good. I would tell my friends to talk to Jersey Mortgage but also to shop around to know if they really give the lowest rate.
My realtor referred me to someone that works from Jersey Mortgage. At that time, we were looking for a house so we went along with the people that she suggested. It was not that much that we were just referred to the person, and since we trust our realtor that much and her reference, we went with them. The loan officer we worked with was nice. Her name is Gina and she is the person who you could get in contact with if you need it. She was able to walk us through the process, tell us what we should do and what we shouldn't do to strengthen our odds of getting the loan that we need. However, towards the end of it, it was a little bit hard in getting contact with her when her part of the process was over. All in all, the application process took four months. Given a choice, I would not recommend the loan officer that I used.
My family was getting big and I was paying the rent unless I get a proper place so I had to change and started to look into a mortgage. Jersey Mortgage was a better option so I decided to deal with them and the lending process was good. I was back and forth with the reps concerning the paper. At one time, I was getting fed up and tired of it so I called the number and everything was good. They got in contact with me to make sure everything was fine. The rates are quite a little bit high but I am satisfied with everything.
I worked with Brian ** and he was great throughout, I highly recommend him in the home buying process. Purchasing a home can have its highs and lows and Brian provided exceptional service and professionalism. Thank you Brian so much for assisting me in buying my first home!
Obtaining an FHA loan from Jersey Mortgage was really easy. I met them about three times, then I paid for it. It was pretty cut-and-dry and everything was simple. The whole process took about two months to complete and everything went perfectly. Plus I got a pretty good rate which was what I was looking to pay for the house.
I was looking for a mortgage company for my son’s first house. The whole thing took four weeks and he had a good experience with Jersey Mortgage. They explained everything including the information that we needed. Some things took time to get, like two days, but they worked with us. The process was good and the guy kept in contact morning and evening. If I had any questions, I could call him any time. When I talked to them, they would text or email. He always kept in communication. It was great. My son and I think he was concerned about us getting a mortgage. He was working with us. I also recommended my sister to go to Jersey Mortgage.
We wanted a larger home and we were buying outright. For our mortgage, we went with Jersey Mortgage based on a referral. The application process was easy. We filled out the application, went over the numbers, received approval and signed. The hardest part was making the first payment. There was no option to pay online. It could only be mailed. I hope they give other options for payments and make it more accessible. That aside, it was one of the easier mortgaging processes I’ve been through. It was flawless and effortless. In total, from application to signing, the process took three months and the loan officer, Cathy, was available at any time that I needed her or I had a question or a concern. She went over, above and beyond, and I was completely comfortable working with her. She explained everything and basically hand-held us all the way through. The terms were a lot better than I expected too. I’ve also already recommended Jersey Mortgage.
My first loan officer was horrible so I had to let him go a couple of weeks after I went in Jersey Mortgage's contract. It was my first time purchasing and Marcus and his wife, Kim, made everything so easy. I was totally impressed. They're extremely helpful and they made everything squeaky clear, squeaky clean. They were very patient and insightful. They didn't have to be on-call 24 hours the way that they were. Nothing was a dumb question. They had time for everything. And then when they didn't have time, they made time, even after closing. I spoke to Kim less than a couple of weeks ago because I had some questions my actual mortgage payment and she accommodated me then as well when she didn't have to. They are 100% appreciated for that.
However, I thought I would get a lower rate due to where my credit stands. I didn't understand that it goes by the market and all of those little different stuff that are hard to reach and determine. I thought it was determined on your credit, and that was one thing that I learned working with Marcus. I called and thanked them five times after I closed. I told them when I'm ready to purchase my next home, if I can't go through them, I wouldn't do it through anybody else.
I wanted to get out of renting and purchase my own home. My sister-in-law used Jersey Mortgage and she owned a couple of home sites, so she referred them to me. She said that they were really good and they are. They made my dream come true. But buying a house is always hard and my experience was not a walk in the park. The process was very tedious about things I needed to give them and I did all of that at the same time as I was working full time. But we got there and the application and underwriting was done in about five months. From what I hear, it is very dreadful with other lenders compared to what I went through with Jersey Mortgage. I was also working with them for years because my credit wasn’t up par and they told me what I needed to work on.
Everything was smooth sailing when it came to Jersey Mortgage and they told me exactly what I needed. I worked with Al and he was determined to help me. He always told me not to hesitate and even on his days off and he was home, he was attentive to me. Every time I called him and I had a question, he was there to answer them all day every day. If I called on weekends, it would usually take them a day and a half to get back to me but I didn’t expect them to answer me as quickly as possible because they weren’t working. Also, my rates are a little bit higher than what a lot of people tell me the way it should be but based on my credit and the fact that I am just starting, it is fair. And Al explained it in details as to why the rates were that way.
John, from Jersey Mortgage and I, go way back. He did the initial financing for my house that we currently live in. His staff was amazing. I like that they pay attention to my needs and they always try to bend over backwards for me. It's a process that also entails on how much you put into it. As long as you pay for it, it's in order and as long as you're on point, the process is not long. But his patience and his expertise is amazing, and that's why I don't go anywhere else. The process took 3 weeks. This is the third time we did the refinancing. I was spoiled because of when I came into the market, I was locked in at 3.75 years so it took me a little while to get used to it to be at a 5% mark. But everything works out for the best.
Marcus, Jersey Mortgage's rep, was able to expedite or at least make the process efficient. He and his wife were also good to follow up. So, we decided to get a mortgage for a new home purchase with them. The application process was tedious but they were very persistent and helpful in making it as easy as possible. It took about six to eight weeks to complete. Before I did the application with Jersey, I was using another mortgage company for a purchase for my daughter’s home that I was helping out with and that process was horrific. The different departments didn’t speak to each other, the head of the mortgage company was condescending, and the process was duplicitous. So in comparison, Jersey Mortgage was leaps and bounds above that, though the communication among their different departments could be a little bit better. The rate of the mortgage was a little high as well.
Other than that, they don’t really make any trips or extend themselves to come and pick up anything, which was a little bit of a challenge. Some other places I have worked with would come and pick up or assist. But Jersey Mortgage's reps were amenable to using different forms of communication with us. For example, with me, it was much easier to fax than to go to my email, open up their email, print something out, go back, scan, and send. It was very time-intensive for me as a physician to be going through all of those steps, so they were trying to make that easier for me by being able to fax things directly to their phone or to their email.
We needed a house. We knew someone working at Jersey Mortgage, and so we went in there and filled out the paperwork. We got the 30-year program and the rate we got was fair. Our loan officer was Chris and he's one of our good friends. He was very personable and helpful. He was very on top of things and made sure that we had everything we needed.
I was recommended to Jersey Mortgage by a very fussy person. I knew if he picked Jersey Mortgage, they were a good mortgage company to go with, so I didn't go to anybody else. I refinanced with them and their lending process was relatively easy. I just had to get the paperwork and everything they needed. It took about six weeks to close and everything went smoothly. Their reps were also pleasant. Anything I needed, they helped me. Even when I called them, they called me back right away and all my questions were answered. So when I had to refinance again, I used them again. My second mortgage was a little higher than my first, but there was no controlling that and I had to take my PMI off. Overall, Jersey Mortgage was great to work with. Their reps, Hal and his wife, were wonderful, too.
Jersey Mortgage is definitely one that I would use to get a mortgage. I dealt with a couple of lenders where there was no personal touch and it was basically dealing with a script. The Jersey Mortgage guy I dealt with was really nice, polite and very helpful. He always called and still contacts us to see how everything's going. He has gone above and beyond, and I was very comfortable working with him.
I got an FHA loan and they required my W2's, past three years of taxes, city taxes, and mortgage insurance. About two months was spent for application and underwriting. My only problem was before I signed the loan for the construction, but the mortgage process after that was fine and easy as can be. There were a couple of times where we had to resend stuff but it was done. Then when it was time to close, there were a few phone calls and one visit with the closer. Also, the rates and terms of the mortgage were decent and comparable with the national.
I used to live in Florida and I thought about relocating back to New Jersey. I wanted to purchase a house coming back so I Googled mortgage companies. A lot of them that I called were kind of like, “You're not really in the market and you're not ready to buy. So, call me back when you're ready to buy” type of thing. Jersey Mortgage came up that got really good reviews and Brian, who was the sales manager there worked with me. He always answered all of my questions and took his time to explain things to me. He didn’t even know if he was gonna make a sale. He went over and beyond and was just really genuine on his behalf. During this whole process, I found a home and the loan was ready to close with Jersey Mortgage, but it turned out the seller couldn't sell the home so I went back to the drawing board again.
Three years later, here I am again. This time, I dealt with a loan officer who was very direct and not personal at all. When buying a home, there were a lot of mixed emotions, stress, and what-ifs, and when I spoke to her, I didn’t get any sort of peace of mind. I mentioned it to Brian and he ended up looking after our file after that. I went back and forth with him and ultimately, I was able to purchase a home. The turnaround time was very quick from the time I submitted the application to getting me preapproved. The only thing was that the mortgage was a little high, but I wanted to purchase a home anyhow to get it done, and that’s what mattered most. I was very happy with the service and it was a really good experience from Jersey Mortgage.
I was attempting to purchase a new home and Jersey Mortgage was recommended to me. I went with a Streamline 203K. However, it's very expensive. It also has a long process but they worked with me every step of the way. The application process was standard and the process took about a month and a half to finish. Also, Cathy, the officer that I worked with was good and very personable. She coached me through the whole experience. She was always reachable as well. I felt very comfortable speaking with the people from Jersey Mortgage and overall, my experience was good. They have educated me a lot on things I needed to do as far as my credit or things that are needed when applying for a home loan. I would go through them again if I needed a mortgage.
Jersey Mortgage's application process took about two months and it was awesome. The reps were the best. They were very professional, very thorough and everything was as expected. Bruce, the rep who worked with me was awesome. I was a first-time home buyer and he was very careful to always explain things to me in terms that I could understand. He never spoke above my head and he was always very accessible to me. And there was not any time that I felt like I was signing up for anything I didn’t understand. We had a lot of things crop up, not being his fault, but he was always very upfront with me and let me know immediately if there was a problem. Communication was never an issue and I was most impressed by that. His whole team was very good.
Jersey Mortgage made the process of purchasing a house very easy and made it feel like it was doable. I’ve worked with other companies before because I work in the industry, but with them and especially it being my own purchase, I never felt worried about anything. They were always very explanative of everything. It was a very good, positive experience. I would definitely use Jersey Mortgage should I buy a house again.
We purchased a home and the realtor we were using recommended Jersey Mortgage. I looked at other places as well but I was in a time crunch and Jersey Mortgage told me they could get it done within a certain period of time and they were on time. I went with an FHA and the application process with Jersey Mortgage was fairly easy. The process took seven weeks and they did what they said they were gonna do. However, there was a lot of paperwork and documentation from the past two years I had to get for them. They wanted more information as to where the downpayment was coming from.
But the mortgage person, Cathy, was great and took care of everything for me. She was on top of everything. She didn’t let anything sit and followed up every day. If she needed something from me and I didn’t send it right away, she followed up. She was doing things that all the other banks told me they couldn’t do. They said I wasn't gonna get a loan because of this or that. They didn’t even really try. Cathy said they'd get it done. I just needed to do whatever she tells me to do. She said what she was gonna do and she did it.
Everything was email-driven and the only drawback was when I called, I didn’t always get Cathy on the phone. She should be more accessible via phone. A lot of times, I would call and I would have to speak to someone else who wasn’t always privy to what was going on in my mortgage. But then, I would email her and she would respond to me 15 minutes later so I knew she was getting my messages, but it was a little difficult to get a hold of her sometimes.
The rates were a little high, but they were somewhat comparable to the other banks and the fact that the other banks weren’t giving me the mortgage, I had no choice. But I was very happy. Jersey worked hard on my mortgage. Whenever there was a hurdle, they figured out a way around it. They are a great company and honest too. They never told me something just to make me think they could do it. They were truthful with me and that was all I wanted.
I was purchasing a house and a friend recommended Jersey Mortgage Co. Their rep was always available and she was willing to help. She called, sent a text and emailed me. The application and underwriting process took two weeks. I’m happy and I got a house. I will recommend Jersey Mortgage. It’s a good company. Use them to buy your first house or any house.
We had sold our home in Alabama and we were trying to purchase a home in New Jersey. I was referred to Bruce who is a loan officer over at Jersey Mortgage. After my first conversation with him, while I was still in Alabama, he made me feel comfortable about everything. He would basically hold our hand through the whole process, trying to get a mortgage for a home that we did not have yet in Jersey. Through the whole process of looking at homes and going through the whole procedure, he gave me the insight on pros and cons from a third party, not just as the mortgage guy. I could also call him at 4 o’clock in the morning and tell what I'm thinking. When he didn't know the answer, he would straight up tell me about it, and within an hour, he had the answer with different options. Bruce walked me through everything and I felt like he was in the living room every time we were on the phone. It wasn't generic, it was very personalized.
We went with an FHA, 30-year, fixed loan program. Bruce requested a bunch of paperwork and documents. I would forward them over and they would go through them. They would then tell me they needed more information, like updated pay stubs, and whatever it was, I just scanned it and send it over to them. The process was that easy. On the underwriting side though, they had a woman that was an underwriter and she left in the middle of our process. When the next woman took over, there was a bit of hiccup on what documentation she had and did not already have. But then, Bruce said he already has the documentation and so he sent it over to her. It was re-explaining what was going on to someone else ‘cause there was a change.
All in all, I had been working with Bruce for almost 10 months. We had gone through multiple processes with homes. We were under contract and we were almost about to close. And then the survey came back and we found out that the property we were buying with the house on it was protected wetlands. We only found that out from the survey. So, that process had to stop. But once we found the house that we purchased, the entire process from that house to the end was only 50 days. And a lot of that was due to the fact that we had had stuff previously on another home. Given my experience, if someone would ask about Jersey Mortgage, I’d tell them they're idiots if they go anywhere else. Their rates were fair and on point too.
When I was needing a new home, Jersey Mortgage was referred to me by my sister. I got a conventional home loan, and the process was good and fairly simple. Also, the person I worked with, Kimberly, was very helpful and attentive. She guided me through the whole process, which was a lot. She was very responsive, too. All questions I had, even things like unrelated to the actual mortgage like insurance and such, she helped guide me in that process as well. Even after I was done with the whole process, I emailed Kimberly not that long ago with a question about a letter I got in the mail from the actual broker, which is now like PennyMac, and she even helped me with that. She guided me 'cause I was completely lost as to what they were even talking about, and she told me I didn't have to do that. She was awesome and I would definitely recommend her.
The application and underwriting process,on the other hand, took a month and a half. However, it was annoying. Because it was my first time I was just lost the whole time. Still, the rate I got was good and it was with the market at that time.
Brian ** and his team took away all our concerns with our first home buying experience. They were swift and quick with all emails, questions, and were very thorough throughout the whole process. Thank you so much for all the work you guys have done.
I was referred by a friend to Jersey Mortgage, and I had a great experience. The loan officer I worked with was very helpful and informative. Being that this is my first home, there was a lot I didn't know, and he really explained everything. I would love to have gotten a lower interest rate, but eventually, I'll probably try to refinance.
I looked into getting a mortgage when I was ready to purchase a home. I then got the FHA from Jersey Mortgage. They always followed up and followed through. They also made the entire experience a whole lot easier, even though it was frustrating at times just looking. The process was very simple, too. They were very helpful with regard to helping with things that I didn't understand because that was my first time. They basically walked me through.
With the home that I ended up getting, the application and underwriting process was a lot faster than I thought. It was about 30 days. The first time that we made an offer on something that we were going with, when it came time for the appraisal, the home appraised a lot lower than what we were paying. So, the owner of that home did not want to drop the price -- obviously it was a huge difference. We then had to not go through with that one, but then once we found this home, it went really quickly. I worked with Kim, the loan officer, and I like his attentiveness and patience. It was never too early or too late to call with a dumb question, and they always answered. Comparing to market prices, the rate I got was also good. I was happy that they made the process so seamless.
It was our first time purchase and our realtor referred Jersey Mortgage. We had to go through some of the questions and get the pre-approval, then course through email and the online system to get the rest of the documentation in order. They had a lot of different documents and we had to reach out a couple of times to explain different things but everyone was very responsive to make it as easy as possible. Once they reached out, it was very easy to get the information. The information beforehand would’ve been something to improve but my experience in dealing with their loan officer was very positive. We were able to be open and ask questions and it was a good experience overall.
My loan officer was good but the application process with Jersey Mortgage was a lot longer than it was back when I last refinanced 15 years ago. I had a little bit of a problem with the title company that they used and that held up mortgage, but I have straightened that out. But unfortunately, because of a mistake that the title company went through, I got penalized and had to pay a higher rate than I expected which I wasn't too happy about.
I wanted to get a house and Jersey Mortgage was recommended to me by someone who had used them before. After I dealt with the agent, I didn’t want to shop around and I just stuck with her because she walked me through the process and assisted me at every point. Plus, the rates were all right. The interaction with the loan officer was great, but at one point, the person that was dealing with the loan left so we had to submit the paperwork again, which was frustrating. I feel that there should be a way to assign a new person and they would be able to see where the first person left off. I recommend Jersey Mortgage to other people.
My friend had a really good experience with Jersey Mortgage, and not having any experience, I decided to go with them too. I applied for the FHA loan and I got good rates from them. It was a lengthy process but it went fine and easy. Everything was well explained to me. Denise, my mortgage rep, was very helpful and she walked me through the whole process. She was very involved in making sure that I was making all the right decisions as far as finances go. She was looking out for me and that was comforting, considering I was a first-time home-buyer. I would definitely recommend Jersey Mortgage to others.
We did a new home purchase, so we looked into getting a mortgage and Jersey Mortgage was recommended by the sales agent. The application process took a bit longer than I thought it would, about one to two months. I had gotten a pre-approval from Wells Fargo which didn’t take as long as the Jersey Mortgage process. The loan officer that helped was fine, although not as knowledgeable as I thought they would be in regards to certain financial records that I have, like my Roth IRA and things like that. With Wells Fargo, they had given me a few more credits than Jersey Mortgage provided and it was definitely more financial credit to get Jersey Mortgage's business. Also, in regards to a lot of the financial records that they needed, it was an overkill.
It’s my first time doing a mortgage for a new home purchase. The communication with Jersey Mortgage was really tight and they made the application process really easy. I got lucky working with my loan officer, Chris. He’s amazing. He really took the time to answer the questions I had and we were able to understand everything that was going on.
My loan officer, Marcus was the best. I got my first house from him eight years ago so, he helped me sell and buy a new home. The process with Jersey Mortgage went smooth but their communication could be improved as I wasn’t only dealing with Marcus, but I was also dealing with an agent and a lawyer. That aside, they did a good job and they got the job done. And the mortgage rate I got was marketable although I would love to have it cheaper.
I got a VA loan from Jersey Mortgage. My loan officer Scott was communicative and he did a fine job. But the process could have gone a little quicker. Other companies were able to lock in quicker than they did, and I ended up paying the points just to get that rate. But overall, the process went smoothly.
Jersey Mortgage was a direct lender and had good reviews. I did a 3,000 type of loan with them. I submitted an application then all the paperwork and bank statements. Their loan officer was definitely responsive. He picked up his phone, text message and all ways of communication and helped us out a lot. The rates could have been better though. I assumed we locked up the rate when we submitted in the application but we didn't lock the rate until the week before we closed when right at that point, the rate had gone up. I didn't like that but other than that, it was fine. I had a pretty good experience with Jersey Mortgage. They helped us out to get this thing closed in time. I would definitely recommend them.
The Jersey Mortgage application process took about 45 minutes and it was uncomfortable. It was a Fannie Mae property and that made the rules and regulations a bit more stringent than a regular house purchase. That made it a lot more difficult and nerve-wracking. But Cathy the loan officer facilitated a lot of information to help the process along and I was satisfied with her performance in the process. There was another person involved in the process that wasn’t quite as helpful, but Cathy helped me overcome a lot of obstacles.
I needed the money and went with Jersey Mortgage since I've known a loan officer there for a long time. She made sure that the loan went through and I got what I needed, though sometimes her hands were tied. I was a first-time buyer and the program I got was on a new construction loan converted into a regular loan. The application process went well and it took two weeks. However, the rate of the mortgage was a bit higher than the market and they charge a lot of fees, one of which was not supposed to be charged. It has been more than a month and I still haven’t received the refund check.
I wanted to buy a house and I was looking into a big bank, but because I worked for a bank, I knew they have higher interest rates. I went into a small brokerage firm and came across Jersey Mortgage. I applied for the FHA program and the process was simple and streamlined. I got all the documents online, so it wasn’t difficult at all. My loan officer was also available at all times. He was very professional and anything I needed or any questions I had, he got that to me right away. If he didn’t answer the phone, I would text him. If he didn’t get back to me within 10 minutes, he’d get back to me when he could, let me know, apologize for the inconvenience and he'd have my answer. Also, if he needed to get more information, he followed up with me. I would have liked a lower rate, but based on the market, their rate was competitive. Jersey Mortgage is a great company.
Thank you, Jennifer for taking the time to write such a nice review - we will be sure to share it with Marcus French and his team at JMC .
We wish you the best in your new home!

Jersey Mortgage Company
I went with the first-time home buyers program of Jersey Mortgage and the process went so fast. I worked with the French team and they were all good. I got all the information that I needed and they responded quickly to questions about the interest rate, called me back and gave information electronically to review. They communicated very well and I discovered that everything they told me was right. They were very thorough in terms of making sure that I reviewed the documents before I signed them. They were very efficient, very competent and everything was done right. Their customer service was excellent and I was very comfortable working with Jersey Mortgage. I referred them to a cousin of mine in the process of buying a home.
I got a mortgage from Jersey Mortgage for my new house after they got recommended to me. I dealt with Steve and it was pretty comfortable working with him. The process of getting the mortgage was straightforward and it took 30 days.
I looked into getting a conventional mortgage so I could get money to cash out because I had debt with my credit cards and I also had to leave some equity in the home at the same time. The program of Jersey Mortgage was convenient for me. Ryan, a rep of Jersey, called and convinced me to go with them, but he was a new employee and didn't know that much yet, and he needed more experience. So, everything went very slowly and many mistakes were made, and I had to call Brian, another rep of Jersey, to fix the mistakes. Then I met with Ryan and Brian and after that, they called the appraiser to come and put the value for the house. They started to process all my papers. When they sent these for the underwriting, it took too long and there were many mistakes, but Ryan helped me out.
On the last day, they told me that we were gonna do the closing. I got surprised because they said that they had to take money from one of the credit cards and pay for something. I was about to cancel with Jersey because I kept asking them if I had to pay the money, but they told me not to worry as the bill was for Jersey and they’d pay it. Then, in the end, I found the mistake. They sent me to the title company, but it took too long for the title company to issue the tracking that I could send to the credit card companies. So, the credit card companies charged me late fees and I had to make several phone calls to Ryan, Brian, the title company, and the credit card companies. Some of the credit card companies waived the late fee for me, but some of them said that it was too much to waive. The process wasn't organized at all and the whole application and underwriting process took from January till April 19.
On the other hand, the lending process was more organized in my first experience with Jersey when I bought a house with a mortgage from them. Everything was perfect, on time, and went very smoothly. At that time, I worked with the rep, John, and he was perfect. But this time, I dealt with Ryan who had to check with Brian, and Brian was busy. Nevertheless, I've recommended Jersey Mortgage to many of my friends, but they told me that they were not going to Jersey after what happened to me. The lending process was too much during that time, especially with the underwriter.
The experience with Jersey Mortgage went well. The person that was helping us the whole time, Jewel, did an awesome job. My Realtor, Michael, has a good working relationship with her and he’s the one that recommended me to work with them. The whole process was very quick especially with everybody being on the go with everything. There were times where Jewel reached out to me even late at night just to make sure everything was going well to accelerate the process. If there were any questions, I could either email her, call or text her and she got back to me right away. I'm always hoping to get a better rate. But if I wasn’t happy with the rate, I would’ve gone with somebody else. I would recommend Jersey Mortgage to others.
The whole application process with Jersey Mortgage was easy and I had a great experience. The communication was very effective and everything was done in a timely manner before I even realized how long it took. I had access to my loan officer so it was really good. I felt very comfortable working with her. She extended her phone number so that she was always available. And if she wasn’t, she let me know because she knew that things were happening. She was reachable by email and I always got in contact with her when I really needed her. The rates and terms of the mortgage were good and she also explained everything to me. She made it clear that I could pay a little extra and get the rates down. And she figured out what was the best way to go about getting the mortgage, so we were thankful for that. It worked out for us. The people at Jersey Mortgage were excellent. I've heard horror stories and I didn’t experience them.
The company was one of the 10 top providers in New Jersey in the last two years. They have an office here in Jersey and I walked in. That was a good thing. I didn't wanna deal with phone and online. So I went to their building. I met Jerry and he was nice and helped me to go through everything together to get my loan, an FHA. The process took some long but that was because of the HUD and wasn’t on Jersey Mortgage. The house was on hold for couple of weeks because there was some stuff to be done on it. Also, we were waiting because of my taxes. But so far, for me as a first time, the rate and terms were good. My experience with them was perfect. Get yourself ready and go for them. You have to be able to do it.
My lending officer at Jersey Mortgage was excellent. He was on top of things and he handled things for me. When I spoke to him, he took his time and explained stuff in layman’s terms. He was upfront and told me quite frankly all of the changes in the escrows so I was ready for all that stuff. He got me through the process and he made all our deadlines that we worked on the beginning. And if I had any questions and concerns, he was instantaneous. He would text me that he’d call me back at x-time if he was on another line and then, he’d call me back at x-time which I was greatly appreciative of.
The whole process took about a month and a half to two months but that was no fault of his. I was changing and I went from an FHA 3% down to 5% down and then I ended up going 20% down, conventional. I actually made the job more difficult for him than he made it for me. Also, everything he told me was accurate. There were no surprises other than some stuff with my attorney but that was outside the mortgage lending responsibility. My experience with Jersey Mortgage was excellent. They were fabulous and I’d be more than happy to endorse them.
I looked into a mortgage for a refinance and went with Jersey Mortgage as I have already used them before and I liked the company. The process of obtaining the refinance was easy and it took less than a month. The loan officer, Bryan, was good and he answered all my questions. There was one time when I hesitated about doing the refinance but he was patient. He listened to me and told me to take my time. I've tried another company before, which was Quicken Loans Company and they told me that I wasn't qualified to refinance. But when I talked to Bryan, he said that everything was possible and then it went through. Everything was wonderful with Jersey Mortgage.
I want to wish Miracles and Blessings to Brian ** and the staff at Jersey Mortgage Company!!! Since the very first phone call Brian was honest, upfront, direct, and on point!!! They worked diligently till the very end on my loan!!! My husband and I are forever grateful to them for their hard work and dedication!!!
Everything is good. We bought our first home and our problem was where to pay the first payment. We went to a bank and we talked to the lady. We did one check for my mortgage and maybe today or tomorrow, we’ll go pay everything.
Everything about my experience with Jersey Mortgage has been good so far. We paid off the mortgage right away. Our loan officer was Scott and everything with him was great.
Jersey Mortgage was recommended to me by my cousin. Their application process was good and it took about a month. I felt comfortable working with the loan officer too. Our interactions were good and he did his job. Then when I had questions, he followed up. I went with the thirty-year fixed loan program, but the rates and terms could have been better.
My agent Sarah checked in with me and was always helpful. In the process, I was finding homes that wouldn’t work out, and I would decide I wasn’t gonna leave then I was gonna leave. But Sarah had a lot of patience with me. But there was somebody else that I was constantly sending paperwork to. She wanted the same information such that I would send something and then I’d have to resend it. Then they would tell me something wasn't signed but it felt like I had signed the same thing already and it annoyed me a little. Also, for every little detail that changed, I had to re-sign. Jersey Mortgage’s process was a bit of a pain in the butt. But outside of the whole paperwork issue, my experience with Jersey Mortgage was decent. It got done at the end of the day and I’m happy with my house. My mortgage rate is pretty good too.
I wanted to purchase a condo and I was referred to Jersey Mortgage by a family friend. I contacted the number on their website and I was contacted by one of their agents. The application and underwriting process was standard and took a few months but they walked me through it. Everything was handled professionally and in a timely manner. They were with me every step of the way and if I had any questions, they were very quick with their response in providing very clear answers. They were very nice, friendly and understanding.
At first, I had a sense of distrust for mortgage companies because I have a finance degree so I know some of the underlying practices but they were very straightforward. I wasn't too thrilled about the interest rate but it was a great process. However, I received a notification in the mail that my mortgage was sold to another company and I reached out to Jersey Mortgage to confirm. I would rather for them to reach out to me to let me know before the other company did.
My realtor recommended two mortgage companies to me when I bought a new house. I spoke with both but I had good rapport with Cathy, the loan officer from Jersey Mortgage, so I decided to go with them. She was great and she did an excellent job. Each time I had an issue, I called her and she always responded and explained things to me the way I understood it. When I realized that the interest rate was going up, I called her to lock my rate in, which she did almost immediately. The whole process took about two months and I really enjoyed the way Cathy went through it with me.
It was easy to work with Jersey Mortgage. It was first around New Jersey and I like New Jersey that was why I went with them. They had a good price and I took a 30-year mortgage. They asked a lot of questions since I had to be qualified to get the mortgage. However, they should make the process easier and not more difficult. It took one month to finish the application and underwriting process. I’m just waiting to get the book and start to pay the mortgage, and I’m very excited. They were beautiful people especially Scott. He was very good. It will be two to four years when we’d be most comfortable then I could pay and I would get another mortgage from another real estate. I got a lot of investment and that was the reason I took the mortgage. If anyone asks me about Jersey Mortgage, I would tell them to apply with them and they are gonna be happy.
Thanks, Yehuda for the great review and best of luck in your new home!!

We bought a house and went with Jersey Mortgage's program for buying a home. I called them, they asked me for relevant documents and took care of everything. My interaction with Al, my loan officer, was a hundred percent positive. He was the VP and sort of my point person and he had a team of underwriters and loan processors that were three or four people. He was outstanding and I was most impressed by his personal attention. I couldn’t ask for a better loan officer.
Given what the market was and having done some research the mortgage rate was fair. The application process was reasonable and it took two weeks only because there was some snag from my old property that was out of their control and had nothing to do with Jersey Mortgage. But they helped me through fixing it up. The people at Jersey Mortgage were always available to answer my questions or concerns and they really went the extra mile. They were excellent and they deserve the positive press.
Thank you Sameer for the nice review of Al Perez and his team at Jersey Mortgage Company - We wish you the very best of luck in your new home

We originally got our first mortgage through Jersey Mortgage and they were excellent so we went back and streamlined our refinance just as well, and it was great. We applied online, submitted all of the documentation, and everything was done electronically. Then we had the closing and that was done on the 24th. It was also the first time we saw anyone physically. It was a 30-day process and we got the wire transferred three business days later. It was perfect streamlining. I like everything electronically and the electronic signatures. I like the speediness, the quickness, and effectiveness of it.
Gina was our loan officer and she was amazing. She was very informative about the laws, the debt to ratio percentages, and the loan rates. She was very informative about everything in the real estate process, even with some questions that the processor probably should have been answering. I email and call her and she responds right back so she’s very responsive too. She could also ask you the pre-application questions that need to be answered before you even apply so, she had us ready. When it was time to go, we were ready to go. Then we had Maria, who was the processor. Every step that it went on, we had a new person and all of them were excellent, very detail-oriented and very professional. The rates and terms were good. Originally, we have 4.0% and then we got 4.5%. We bought our points so we stayed where we were.
Jersey Mortgage was exceptional and I would definitely refer them to another friend. My husband applied with another company before we decided to go back with Jersey Mortgage and he didn’t like them at all. And then that’s why I said, “Let’s just go back to Gina.” We’re never gonna go anywhere else. Every time we need something done, we’ll definitely go back to Jersey Mortgage.
Such a nice review, Keisha and we will be sure to share it with Gina and her team at Jersey Mortgage. Thanks for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review.

I wanted to get a house to settle down in. With Jersey Mortgage’s application process, all the documents are now online. However, there were too much paperwork and too many background checks but the whole process took 10 days, so it was good. Bruce, my loan officer was beyond excellent as well. Anytime my son or I had a question about something we did not understand, Bruce gave an explanation. I was most impressed by the way Bruce reacted and the way he communicated. Bruce answered all the questions and always responded genuinely politely. He knew what the call was for. He called me on the phone and emailed me, and when something was urgent, he texted me. However, the rate was 4.75% and that was my biggest concern. I thought I could get a little better like 4.25% or 4.50%. Nevertheless, the whole Jersey Mortgage team was good and everything was excellent.
Thank you, Paresh for the feedback - we agree that the mortgage process can sometimes be overbearing and we work every day to improve that part of the transaction for our customers. We will be sure to share your kind words with Bruce and his team.
Best of luck in your new home

I'm a first time home buyer and a friend, who was already working with Jersey Mortgage, told me that it would be good if I go with them, so I did. The application process was good and it took two and a half months. When you get in the house the first time and the people are gonna be helping you a lot, you appreciate them. I feel wonderful.
Thanks, Anny for the review and warm congratulations on the closing of your new home! Wishing you many years of happiness.

I'm a first time home buyer and I had a great experience with Jersey Mortgage. The interactions with the loan officers were good. They stood to their task until the end. However, the process took four months and the rates were a little high. But I'm satisfied with Jersey Mortgage and I'd tell friends to go ahead with them.
My real estate agent recommended Jersey Mortgage to me and I had a very good experience with them. I had a 30-day fixed loan program with them, and while it was easy applying to them up until the underwriting started, it became more complicated after. There was a lot of paperwork and they made sure all the T's were crossed. It would have been better if there was a way to have a good checklist of everything that you're gonna need all at once. When I was closing my loan, they got on the phone with my lawyer. If there was an issue, they were very responsive. They took turns to tell me what I needed and to be in touch with the other parties. We would do a three-way call and pretty much whatever it took to get things done.
If I called Kim, my loan officer, and she was on the other line, she would call me back right away. Then she would send me an email and we would walk through what she was actually asking me if I wasn't sure and explained exactly what I needed to do step-by-step. It's hard to listen when you're working and it's a lot to do when you're in the middle of a job, so she just breaks it down. We got the congratulatory letter and you have this feeling that you’re done but you’re not. So they should communicate the parts where we still need a few hurdles to go through.
Other than that, the rates were very good and we got a 4.25%. All banks do this and then you get a certain rate for a certain time. I would have liked not to have to pay an extra fee to increase the rate but John, who was Kim’s boss, pointed out to me that if the rate has not gone up, it’s less of an issue with the bank. But when those have gone up, you gotta pay the fee so no complaints there. Overall, I would recommend Jersey Mortgage and will use them again.
I was connected with Jersey Mortgage through Zulu and I ended up sticking with them throughout the entire mortgage process. I got a conventional loan to purchase a home and the whole process took 20 days. They required all my financials and affidavits if I had large deposits in my account. They also required proof of all the money I had on hand and any potential income that I would be having in the future. Garth, my loan officer, was extremely responsive when I had questions about certain forms or documents that they would send over for me to sign and how one document relates to another.
I ended up with the market rate at that time so I was fine with it. I have a couple of colleagues that are looking to buy in New Jersey and I told them that Jersey Mortgage made the home-buying process extremely easy and personalized. They made it feel like you’re receiving their individual attention. And so, I’ve recommended that they use Jersey Mortgage throughout their buying process.
Thank you, Robert for writing such a nice review and referring your colleagues to Jersey Mortgage too!!
We wish you the very best of luck in your new home

We were first time home buyers and a friend recommended us to Jersey Mortgage. We also heard that they were a great avenue to get a portable rate on a good mortgage. Our rep Scott was really great. He was really informative and had the great ability to break things down on all the steps and process to a first time home buyer. He was also very responsive with all of our inquiries and he was always available. He was very helpful through the whole way. He was very relatable and has a very light mood and we were very comfortable with him. Everything was good and it was a great experience. The application went very smoothly and we got a great rate. Everything was digital and it was accessible. All the eSignature went smoothly and we didn't have any long waiting period in any other process. With the underwriting process, everything took 15 days. It has been a quick, responsive and a very friendly service.
Thanks, Greg for taking the time to write a nice review about Scott and his team at Jersey Mortgage Company - we especially appreciate your entrusting us for your first home purchase!
Best of luck in your new home

I was buying a condominium and Jersey Mortgage was recommended by my real estate agent. The application process was very invasive although that may be the industry and not them. It took 30 days and my interactions with the loan officer went fine. If I had questions or concerns that needed resolution, he did it on the phone with me. He would call me back within an hour or so. However, I didn’t like the rate I received because they considered it as an investment property since I own the property already and I wound up paying more with the annual rate. It was like a one-point premium.
We're selling our house and trying to buy a new house, from a two-bedroom house to a house with four bedrooms since we have a family of four, having two children. We looked into a mortgage with Jersey Mortgage as our real estate agent highly suggested them and we like the real estate agent. However, I ended up not being happy with the process of obtaining the mortgage. I think that part was great if I'm setting it up. But after I got passed off, we had a lot of issues.
We talked to Cathy who gave us all the loan information and who I really liked. She was great and was on top of the ball. But when it went to processing, which was the next step, we went to Kim. She lost my documents that we had sent. They asked for the documents again and that was very frustrating since that was really close to closing. She ended up being where the issues really were. When it seemed to get passed to her, it became a very not pleasant experience. They also miscalculated something which ended up being an issue on closing too. And I felt like we ended up with a higher interest rate because of all that shenanigans.
Kim should not lose documents. Also, they should answer my emails or calls. Usually, I would email Kim, but there wouldn’t be an answer for a day and a half. Cathy would end up emailing me back and apologizing for Kim. Cathy got shingles in the middle of the process and was still answering my emails, but Kim wasn’t. It was very frustrating. I called them to see what was happening and then they asked for some things, I sent them something and then they said that it was not what they wanted. So, I told them that they have to be more specific. If it wasn’t so late in the process, we would’ve not used Jersey Mortgage and went to Quicken Loans where I looked into in the early process.
Hi Dennis: We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to write a review. Rest assured, we will address your concerns when reviewing what took place on your loan and how we can improve the process going forward. We humbly apologize for the service level you experienced here as it is not the way Jersey Mortgage is accustomed to.
Congratulations on the closing and best wishes in your new home.

I was looking into a mortgage to buy a house and was referred to Jersey Mortgage. I went with their first-time home buyer loan program and that was a journey. It was a process of getting through everything that they asked for and I had to get things over and over, but in the end it worked out. I just have to submit. The process took time but it was good because it's also tough with us to go through as a full-time buyer. Still, Jersey Mortgage could do better by letting their clients know when they have received the things that they asked from them. Sometimes Jersey Mortgage gets the email, yet they don't call to say they received it and the client had to call Jersey Mortgage to ask if they did. And when Jersey Mortgage gets the email, it ends up going to the junk. They need to improve in that area.
When I have to sit down, I have more than one person attending to me. One of them was really there for me. She made sure she called if I got to the email, or I would call or text her. She checks to see if I had a person getting the email and she checks to see if I'm fine and if I'm getting things done. I could only get things done during my days off, so I had to tell them to let me know if I need something. Being a first time buyer, I don't know much about the market rate. The way how I work, it could have been lower but that'll be fine for me. All things would work enough for good.
Thank, Camiscia for the review and highlighting some of the areas in which Jersey Mortgage needs to pay attention to - we'll address your concerns in our weekly management meeting and work to improve that aspect of the process.
Best of luck to you in your new home!!

I went with Jersey Mortgage's 30-year fixed loan program and the process was all right. Their people were very informative and very helpful with the paperwork. And they need to be. They had everything highlighted and they were very prepared. My loan officer had late hours. I would go there at night and told her I was having trouble with paperwork and she was open late. She was very accommodating and I would use her again. There was a hold up on the seller and it wasn't the mortgage company's or anybody else's fault, so there was nothing we could do about that. When Jersey Mortgage did the title and it came up a lien against the property, the process took another few days. Jersey Mortgage's rate was a little bit higher than I thought I would receive, but it was very competitive. I would use Jersey Mortgage again if I had to.
Jersey Mortgage gets things done. We are doing investments in the Jersey City area and we looked into a mortgage. We have worked with Jersey Mortgage in the past and the experience has been great. Chris, our loan officer, helped us with a lot of our other investment mortgages. He’s very good in communication. You call him and he would pick it up. I can text and e-mail him, and he’s very responsive. I’ve worked with him for five years now, and I'm pretty comfortable working with him.
We are pretty familiar with the process of obtaining mortgage. I know what documents usually the mortgage company would need. We usually have them ready. I would talk to Chris saying these are the products we’re looking for and ask what kind of rates is available. If we’re good with the rates or like the rates, then we just go ahead. Then I would send over all the documents. Chris would review them and let us know.
The application process was very good. We got delayed but it was on our side. But usually the application and underwriting take within 45 days. It’s much better and improved really well over the past. It’s electronic now. You can sign online paperwork so it’s great. Before, there was a lot of mailing documents and then you have to sign the document in the back. But I would recommend that rates be locked for a longer period of time, like 60 or 90 days, and they should be very clear about it. Maybe that would help. Earlier, we would discuss some rate but then it would change after a while.
I got a referral for Jersey Mortgage and I ended up going with a conventional loan. Their application process was simple and easy to understand, and it was quick. The underwriting process took about two months. We could have gotten some of those things looked at a little faster because it was a short sale and we kept passing the extension date. We lucked up, got another extension date and we closed the day before the third extension date.
The customer service was amazing. The representatives were very friendly and knowledgeable, and were always in contact. Their communication skills were great and I really appreciate that they never kept me in the dark about anything. They reach back to me very quickly if ever I had a question or a concern. They would either email me back an answer or call me, and they even use their cellphones. They work from home on the snow days and they work on the weekends. I felt very comfortable working with my loan officer, Gina, and I felt like I knew her. I love her. However, the rates could have been a little better and more competitive. But I referred Jersey Mortgage to my sister and now, she’s in the process of trying to attend an in-house with them.
Jersey Mortgage was recommended to me by a real estate agent. I got a commercial loan, so it's a little bit higher, but with what I was told by others, Jersey's rate was good. And I believe if I was with somebody else, I couldn’t do it and I would not have gotten a mortgage. The application process was nice and smooth, and I didn’t have to worry about everything. Whatever paperwork they needed, I supplied and they took care of everything else. I worked with Denise and Sharon, and they knew what they were doing. I had no clue about the whole process, and they gave me good guidance. It wasn’t fast, but my case was very challenging so they did well. They're very professional and they went through it with no issues. I had a great experience and I'm very happy, and if I have to, I'm going to use Jersey Mortgage again.
I was looking into getting a mortgage for a new home purchase and I wanted to first see what would be in my price range. So, I went to the bank, got preapproved and then I shopped around. I asked a lot of friends and family who have used different lenders and my real estate agent recommended Jersey Mortgage. I contacted them and they were super friendly and had the lowest rate. They were the most helpful when it came to walking me through the mortgage process. They explained what each document was needed for and why I was throwing out certain documents. The application process was definitely straightforward and super easy to follow.
From start to finish, the application and underwriting process took two months. The loan officer was super friendly and super courteous. She explained every document that I was going to be signing and why I was signing it. Overall, she made it a very pleasurable experience. The rate was very competitive and there wasn’t any surprise fees that came up in the process either.
I decided to purchase a property and my realtor who’s a long-time friend of the family recommended Jersey Mortgage. I did a conventional loan with them. And the rate and terms were fair and accurate. I submitted various information, my annual taxes, employment, Social Security number, date of birth, current employment status, and current salary. Our mortgage rep came up with a loan amount and then I bought out a property.
Our rep was very informative and helpful, and he answered any questions that I had and confusions that I came across. He was really good about breaking things down for me. Additionally, it was a two-year process and he would call frequently to check and see where I was in the process of purchasing a home if I came up with anything. He would also update my loan approval if and whenever my salary would change. I’ve already made a recommendation to a friend of mine. I gave her the direct number to my mortgage rep and told her how informative he is.
We were renting a house and it has been very expensive so I thought I'd rather pay a mortgage than continue to pay someone else. Our real estate agent then referred us to Jersey Mortgage and their process was quick and painless. Everything was well explained and I didn’t feel left out of the process at all. A lot of the application process was online. They wanted a lot of information and I was able to send those electronically. They looked into our credit and income and they told us that there were a few things that we needed to address on our credit report.
They then referred us to somebody to help us clean up our credit report. That process was quick and painless, too, and after that, it was a matter of finding the right loan. We were pre-approved within a month. They were also very clear about closing costs. And the surprises came from switching from a VA loan to an FHA. Seven days before the closing day, we found out I wasn’t getting a VA loan because the I way I was discharged from the military prevents me from getting a loan. So, we had to start the FHA loan process which was almost starting over again. And it could’ve gone really bad but it went well.
Our loan officer was amazing. This has been the biggest purchase I've made and my wife and I were guardedly optimistic through the entire process because we were worried and she walked us through the entire process and showed us that things were possible. She was good at getting back to me when I texted or emailed. Even when things got a little tight between switching loans, she was very clear about getting back to me. When she didn't have an answer she'd tell me that she didn't have an answer and then she would give me when she'd get back to me. It made us feel very comfortable because she was very responsive. They also gave us an app called The Mortgage Coach so that we were able to look how everything was. The whole process took 90 days.
Jersey Mortgage was recommended by a friend. I was going for a mortgage with a prior company but they were jerking me around. I had all the paperwork and all the qualifications and then I went to Jersey and got the mortgage. The application was simple and quick, and I felt comfortable working with Randy, my loan officer. The rates and terms of the mortgage were good. Overall, my experience with Jersey Mortgage was perfect and they were very professional.
I got a regular mortgage from Jersey. They were recommended by a real estate agent. My loan officer was pleasant, and the rate was okay. I was hoping for it to be lower but it wasn’t a big issue. And the prime at that time was a 4.2 or 5. I would recommend Jersey Mortgage.
I’ve had a home prior to moving. I moved to Pennsylvania and purchased a home and I moved back to New Jersey. So I wasn’t planning on renting for so long. Marcus, from Jersey Mortgage, was referred to me by my sister who used him on two of her prior home purchases. So I had reached out to him and I said, “Before I go to the whole home loan process are you able to assist me to see if I’m even qualified?” And he was happy to do so. The credit report came back and he was like, “Okay. Well, this is what you should do.” He walked me through how to actually improve my credit score before we actually moved forward so that I would get the best rate.
I had his cell phone and it didn’t matter what time of the day or if it's a weekend, I would call or text him. He immediately either answered the phone or responded back via text. I felt extremely comfortable. I would refer Marcus to anyone. He was probably the most patient person in the whole process. I even asked questions that weren’t related to loans, not related to the home and he was able to provide me guidance there as well, being a homeowner in New Jersey. So because I only owned a home at PA and a lot of things were different he was able to give me some information and if he didn’t have the information he would look it up and send it to me or provide me with someone else to call that would be able to help me.
Also Marcus was very objective. He’s very fair and he’ll tell you, “Maybe now isn’t a great time,” or “Yeah. Sure, jump in and go for it.” He always gives the pros and cons of everything. He doesn’t push you to do something that he doesn’t really think that you might be ready for. He’s very honest. I got a FHA loan and the process was very simple and they were very hands-on so I didn’t really have to do much during the initial application. It was just a very smooth process. It was actually a lot smoother than my first mortgage. As long as you can read and follow directions, you should have no problems navigating through what’s needed and then if you have any questions they have a whole team assigned to you. So you can always get someone regardless of the time of the day, which is amazing.
The negotiation part was what held some things up for a little while. But it wasn’t even long because they have a process where they ask you everything upfront. You provide the information and then once the deal is actually sealed with the sellers of the home, it just takes off from there because all the docs were lined up, just waiting to push the button out. It was just a couple of times where if they asked for a document, someone else would ask the same document. And I’m like, “Well, I already gave it.“ And they’re like, “Oh, okay.” was wonderful. Also I’ve been watching the market and doing my research and I definitely got a fair rate.
I needed to pay some bills. I went to Jersey Mortgage for a refinance and I had a great experience. The girl who worked there, Sarah, was really nice and I and she were able to work together and got things done. The whole process took about two months from start to finish, and everything went smoothly except for a couple of things. I had to come up with some more paperwork, too, but everything that Sarah told me ended up to be true.
We were tired of renting and we were looking into a mortgage. We were looking at all pros and cons and Jersey Mortgage fits into our financials. The process was easy and it took less than 45 days. And Nicole, our loan officer, walked us through every step of the way and then we signed our lives away. I was really comfortable with her. She would talk to us like she was a friend but she has the knowledge to handle the situation. So she was pretty cool. It was a stressful experience and you need somebody to help you through it and getting a loan officer is the best. And we also thought the rates were going to be lower but it was what it was.
I was looking for a house which was an investment property and Jersey Mortgage was recommended by my realty agent. I met with Richard who guided me through the whole process and was always on the phone with me. He was available whenever I needed any help or had any questions. There wasn’t really anything major that I had to do. He would always say that I should do the best for me and that I should not worry about anything else. Lending Tree has a bit lower rate but that was a teaser rate. It would have probably gone up once the application was done. Jersey Mortgage's rate was rather competitive.
The process was simple. We went to the office and there was a good amount of paperwork to be filled out but it wasn’t anything painful. It was done within an hour or so. The whole application process took about 45 days. It was quick. However, after the underwriting process, there's a lot of email communications but not enough follow-ups. And sometimes the emails are sent from like bots so they get flagged as spam on my filter. So if nobody follows up, it's difficult to keep track of all these little things you have to sign and do. But once I follow up, they were very good about always returning and picking up my calls, if possible. I had a very positive experience with Jersey Mortgage, it was hassle-free. I would definitely recommend them to anybody.
I looked into the mortgage as I was buying a new home. I like the girls that I talked to so I went with Jersey Mortgage. Emily was very nice, and so was Kim. I went with their FHA loan program. Their application process was fine. Emily and Kim were very pleasant, answered any of the questions that I asked and guided me on what to do and what to present. Emily did a credit check and told me to send all the different documents to verify and I did. And then, they said I had the mortgage. The whole process took a couple months. However, Jersey Mortgage sold my loan to another company, Pacific Financial. And, the rates could have been better. At that time I thought it was 3.75 but it ended up being 4.25. Nevertheless, I would recommend them.
I was buying out my husband because of the divorce. My lawyer suggested a loan officer named Scott from Jersey Mortgage. I dealt with him through the phone, texts and through emails mostly. I was impressed by his knowledge and kindness. It was one-stop shopping. I didn’t have to get a lawyer to do the title search, he did all that. The title search was great as well as making sure that the title was put into my name. The underwriting process took between 30 to 40 days. I would highly recommend Jersey Mortgage and Scott in particular. Their people were very good, very knowledgeable and honest.
Jersey Mortgage worked with me really well. I was referred to them by someone I knew who worked with them in the past. I reached out to them then my loan officer, Randy, and I had our initial talk about what my goals were. Then, he told me about the products that they offered and gave me a good estimate of how much money I needed, what was feasible and what wasn’t. He told me that what he suggested might be the best route then I made a decision from there. He walked me through the whole process and did their qualifications while I went out and looked for a home.
Then, we moved on from his section and went to the underwriting. The rep I had for that section was Laura and everything went well there as well. The transition phase and the turnaround time were good and I always want the rate to be better, but it was good, too. I was able to get the 3.5 down and I got what I wanted. The actual rate ended up going up because they had to push back the closing date but my rep was able to relock my rate. So it worked out for me.
I liked how Jersey Mortgage followed-up and that they communicated well. Anytime I had to CC them on emails with my realtor and a couple of other people, it worked out and they were able to follow up. Sometimes, there were some issues on my end as far as getting the documentation from the sellers and employees but they followed up. Also, if I ever reach out to somebody, I would usually be contacted within the hour. The only thing is, right now, I’m trying to figure out who I should pay my mortgage to. It's due on March 1st and I'm waiting to get the documentation on where I would I make the payment.
Jersey Mortgage was recommended to me by someone who had a good experience with the company so I decided to apply for a loan for my relocation. My rep was very concerned and professional about the job that he was doing. Also, I'm fine with the rate I got. Jersey did whatever it is for me to get that rate. If I come across anybody who thinks they want to relocate, build or rent, I would give a high rating to Jersey Mortgage and recommend them. Overall I'm very satisfied with my experience.
I have refinanced a sizeable 100% home equity loan credit and because of the change in the tax laws, the interest is not going to be tax deductible anymore. The fact that interests are moving rapidly, I said, "It's time to go into a traditional mortgage." It's been a while since I've been with a lending provider and I know that somebody in my neighborhood kind of knows a number of mortgages. Since I tried to do it with my bank initially, they were very restrictive, I said, "You know what? I need somebody who would like to get to know me personally and get to know my situation," and somebody made a recommendation for Jersey Mortgage. I said, "Okay. I'll give it a try."
I was given a name and called the person. I said, "Here's what my current loan is and I want to refinance. I want to be able to do this and that." I was in the business, I was not a mortgage broker but mortgage was my toy. I knew exactly what they would need from me, so even before I made that phone call, I already had a ready financial information package provided. From there it was just a matter of them presenting some options and I gave some guidelines by saying that I don't want to pay any claims. "I want this to be a no escrow loan. I'd like to be able to cash out." The loan officer was very nice. Everything was over the phone and over the email. She asked me to fill up an application form and give some information. When I gave it to her that same evening, she said, "Oh, wow. I wish everybody would be like you."
It was an easy conversation and she would just call me up and ask me like, "Well, you put this in your summary, what does that mean? Or you sent me an email or try to get clarification." I made sure I was responding pretty quickly. Initially, I was trying to get interest-only cash-out and I explored that. Jersey Mortgage was very responsive. They understood my needs, tried to come up with solutions for what my needs are, and at the same time took a challenge of the fact that I was giving them the information even before they were asking for it and they respected that.
Applying for an FHA on our house with Jersey Mortgage was easy and straightforward. They asked me a series of questions and documentation. I gave them the documentation then everything was good to go. I was buying a short sale though, so there were delays on my end. I put an offer on multiple houses and I lost multiple houses but Jersey Mortgage was very patient. They had to keep rewriting and they were very efficient when I needed to have the pre-approval letter. They didn’t lose documentation and they didn’t repeatedly ask me the same questions over and over. It was very organized and concise. Plus, the people were very friendly. It was A-plus service.
The loan officer was able to walk me through the overall process. He was effective and he went above and beyond with regards to explaining the difference between an FHA and a traditional conventional mortgage. He gave me scenarios on how much it would cost upfront so that I would know what my monthly payment would be. Jersey Mortgage was knowledgeable about the interest rates and what I needed to do to make sure that I got the lowest interest rate possible for me. They also helped me with my credit. They gave me people that I could work with to do credit repair if I needed to do credit repair. They were very helpful throughout the entire process. In the long run, I know that I’m going to end up remortgaging the home because I’m in an FHA and I would definitely go back to Jersey Mortgage to do the refinancing. It was one of the better experiences that I’ve had in trying to buy something so large.
The whole mortgage process with Jersey Mortgage was horrible and I wish I would have chosen other lenders. The loan officer was a complete liar. There was a statement that I was CC’d on to that he forgot about, and he basically was telling me in the email to go screw myself. He thought he was just responding to the loan processor but he was mistaken. Also, the rate was all right, but it was supposed to be lower and I ended up having to pay for things I was promised I wasn’t going to pay for. The loan officer’s manager jerked me around for seven months to close a simple refinance, and he had me pay for three appraisals, an FHA, a conventional and a VA. They said they had meetings on Saturday, and that this was the best way to go. They were trying to cover the tracks and you’re always the biggest problem for them.
There were three different processors that handled my stuff, and finally, they got one that was decent and that was the only one who helped and handled the file at the end. The application and underwriting process took eight months overall. Jersey Mortgage should fire their LO and get people that are knowledgeable and that actually would work with the customer and not against the customer and not lie.
I was a first-time home buyer and I shopped around. Jersey Mortgage was recommended, and when I spoke with them, I liked them the best because they gave me a lot of information. I filled out an application, they got me pre-approval, told me what I needed for the approval, and I was satisfied with the rates and terms. They were very responsive and helpful, and they kept me up-to-date. They were always there when I called, and they made sure I understood everything. They made me feel comfortable about everything that I was going through and doing. The process took about two months from start to finish. I would definitely use Jersey Mortgage again in the future and I would recommend them.
Jersey Mortgage was referred to me by a couple of people. The process was pretty quick and their reps were really on top of the game with everything. The loan officer I dealt with was awesome and we got everything done pretty quick. Also, the application process was a lot simpler than I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be more intense than what it was, but I was actually happy with the way things went. I also got a bunch of phone calls every time things were changing and happening. Although I’m not too happy about the rate, I think I did well considering my credit. I’ve dealt with probably four people in the whole process and they all worked very well. I would definitely recommend Jersey Mortgage to somebody else, and tell them to deal with the person I dealt with.
My loan officer, Marcus, recommended Jersey Mortgage. He always answered the phone every time I called him and explained everything to me as much as he could. I put all my trust on him. Everything about the process of obtaining my mortgage was perfect. My rate was at 4.5 and he said that it was the rate I could get at the moment, but I was hoping to get a lower rate. Other than that, Jersey Mortgage is a great company and their customer service is good. They tried to help me as much as they could and I have the house that I wanted.
Jersey Mortgage had a better deal than what I was going with Sun West. When I was getting the mortgage, John was amazing. He reached out to me, we were talking, and then from there, he started the ball rolling. He was telling us about the interest and all that good stuff. Anytime I needed him or if I had a question, he was always right at my fingertips. The application took time but it was not anything hard. The team did an amazing job. They are the best, and they are very accommodating and they get things done.
We bought a new house and we got a mortgage from Jersey Mortgage. Our rep, Brian has been great and we were comfortable with him. He walked us through everything and answered all of our questions, which were all basic since we were first time home buyers, even if we call at 8:00 pm. He also texted us. He was great in communicating and we're glad that we worked with him. Jersey Mortgage provided us with all of the options that we needed to successfully bring everything to the table. We went through a clean and easy process with them. We found a home then we worked with our lawyer. The process took less than a week. Everything has been great and we definitely will recommend them to anyone.
My father owns most of the properties and getting a mortgage was the initial plan. I started off with the bank because I was doing a finance activity but then I met with Cathy initially to give her my information and she was great. She did in a few hours what one guy did in a month so I was really convinced. Then my fianceé and I met with her and it was just so comfortable. It was like I knew her already. She explained to us the numbers and how we could do it. Our situation with the house and equity and my father’s issues were a little tricky but she said she would do what she could and was really helpful.
The rate was great too and I know that they go off with what's out there in the market. I'm excited. I don’t think we would have gotten the houses the way we did if it was anybody else which is huge. I had been extremely happy. I think everybody should go to Cathy. I even found out that a couple of guys at my job got a house because of her, and so did my uncle. I was surprised. She's really helping everybody out.

We were looking to buy a house and Jersey Mortgage Co. was recommended to us by our realtor. They walked us through everything step by step and explained all the steps to us and the entire process. Whatever problem or potential issue was coming up, they gave us a heads up about it. They walked us through pitfalls to avoid. The process was pretty painless and straightforward. It just took a couple of days. The loan officers were just very professional, to the point and respectful of everybody’s time so that was appreciated. I was very comfortable working with them. Also, the rate that I got was fair.

We were doing a large addition to the house, so we needed to refinance for a construction loan. Jersey Mortgage is local and they're very good. They get back to you right away. We’ve used them for our original mortgage, and we found that they’re the best. We had to re-submit everything as we did for our original mortgage, and it was quite a few requirements needed. We were able to do all of that via email. The closing agent came to our house so that was very convenient.
We worked with Bryan and Paulina, and they were very good. They got back to us right away, usually in a few hours. It would never go past a day, so that was good. They were very honest and open with us, and there were no surprises. They expedited the process and only asked us for what they needed. I felt like they were for my benefit and they were there to help me out, and it wasn't for any other’s gain. We were able to turn around to them very fast because my wife and I are very email-oriented. It was a little easier the first time, but it was tricky, because I’m self-employed, and there were a couple of additional things required, but nothing out of the norm.
They could have a one-time checklist though. It’s tough because the requirements change a lot as they go. When they hand it off to their underwriter or when they sell the loan to someone else, some things change. The rate and terms were not the best because of the type of mortgage that I did. I did a home-style mortgage and there’s not much control over those rates. But I’ve recommended Jersey Mortgage to a lot of people. They’re probably the most streamlined. It's the easiest way to get a mortgage with people that you trust, which is hard to come by.
Thank you Eric for your kind words about Brian Lavan and his team at Jersey Mortgage Company. We are pleased that the service and product were a fit for your project. Best of luck on the addition!!

I relocated here and I was buying a house. My realtor recommended Jersey Mortgage. I spoke to the loan officer and she sent me an application. I filled it out and I faxed it back. She reviewed it and she started asking me for financial documents from prior years' statements, earning statements, employment verification, everything that's required for a mortgage. We would correspond through email and she would call me. She called me a lot just because I was out-of-state and then I was new to the state. She followed up with me frequently on the telephone. Anything that she needed, she would put into an email so I can make reference back to what I needed.
She's very helpful and I was impressed with her genuine care for what I really needed. I really felt like she took the best interest of putting me in a home that I would be able to financially afford. She's very diligent, very easy to work with, and did great follow up. The application process was a lot shorter than normal. It started October 20th and then I signed on December 11th.
I know somebody who used to work for Jersey Mortgage. He put me in touch with the person who he suggested I work with. I contacted them, they contacted me back right away and we communicated on a regular basis. I tried LendingTree and I spoke to a lot of different companies that were really aggressive but I didn’t get that from Brian, my loan officer, at all. So, I dropped everybody that contacted me through that website and went with Jersey Mortgage. What really impressed me was Brian's responsiveness, how quickly he got back to me and how easy it was. He explained what was going to happen next and who else would be involved in the process. And then, leading up to and even after the closing, he had been in touch and had communicated well.
They got me the best possible rates for my refinance and explained to me the different options were available for me. Everything was done through email and quick phone calls. Within a few weeks, because we had to get some appraisal work done, everything was wrapped up. It would have been done faster but I had to get some railings put on our stoop in the house which took us some time to pick out. But it was great overall. Everything was really smooth and quick.
Everything went fine With Jersey Mortgage. The preapproval was fast and the whole process took nine months because the construction started in January and finished in December. The Jersey Mortgage reps were very nice, polite and professional. We talked with the manager first and then with different persons between the status of the loan. The loan officer always tried to help me. If he saw something that is not right, he would offer me a note in a nice way, which impressed me. I didn’t receive the first payment that I have to do, but it was accurate. I feel good working with Jersey Mortgage and I have recommended them.
Thank you, Juan for writing a nice review of Jersey Mortgage Company. We are pleased that you were satisfied with the team members at JMC that assisted you during your road to homeownership.

I was buying my first home and I knew somebody who worked with Jersey Mortgage previously and they were highly recommended, so I went with them. The process of obtaining my mortgage was pretty straightforward. A lot of information needed to be provided but it wasn’t too bad. It was detailed and they made it pretty clear. I talked with their rep, Kimberly, over email a lot and any information that was needed was requested and provided pretty quickly. A few times, the response was within the hour and even on a weekend, it was fairly quick. From the start of the application, it was about a two month period in terms of getting both sides to get all the paperwork together. It was a pretty easy and smooth process. We’d recommend them.
Thank you, Matthew and congratulations on the closing of your first home, It means a tremendous amount to the team members at Jersey Mortgage Company to assist first time home buyers so thank you for the trust and confidence.
We wish you awesome success in your new home

I’m extremely happy and thankful that Jersey Mortgage heard my need to close on a property as soon as possible. I wanted to buy a house and I was referred to them by a friend. We closed on the mortgage in under 30 days and that was very remarkable. The ladies over there were really efficient. The lending process was very difficult, it was the end of the year for them so they had a lot of loans to close, but I did a lot of follow-ups. I was very pushy because we were on a time crunch to close this property. Cathy, our loan officer, did an excellent job. She was always available and working on our behalf. She’s got great work ethic and was able to see ahead as to what additional requirements the underwriting department would have. So, we’d have the additional requirement ready for them one day after.
The loan originator, though, wasn’t very technology savvy. They were not able to send the documents so that we could sign them electronically and that created a seven-day delay in the loan. But we did it at the very last day I had so I was able to take the property. It was a little challenging but we got through everything. Jersey Mortgage did an awesome job and I’m very satisfied with them. Plus, the rate on the mortgage is competitive.
Thank you, Ernesto for taking the time to write a nice review of Cathy Fernandes and her team at Jersey Mortgage Company.
We've also recently upgraded our technology platform to allow for electronic signatures so your point about that is an excellent one as well.
Best of luck to your in your new home

The Jersey Mortgage team walked us through everything step-by-step. We could call them at any time, and they answered our questions and helped us with what paperwork or any type of requirements we need to send them. They did a very good job of explaining the different types of mortgages we're capable of and they explain which one they felt was the best fit for us and our needs. They're very professional, and everything was very good.
Thank you, Keith for writing a nice review of Jersey Mortgage Company. It can sometimes be a complicated process and we are pleased that we were able to explain it clearly and concisely. We wish you the best of luck!!

Jersey Mortgage was familiar to me and they were able to close quickly. When I signed up, they asked a lot about me and they sent me documents to sign electronically, which I sent back. Some of them wanted hard copies, so I printed those and sent them back. And they did the rest of the process. I always felt good about working with the Jersey Mortgage team. They always explained any instructions they had and they always called me back. I can get them through text or email, too. They're great communicators and even at the last minute I called when I had questions, they answered. Their customer service level was very good.
My loan officer Gina was great. She was there throughout and helped me with the whole process. She was all the time texting. Sometimes there's a lot of paperwork involved and they're asking for a lot of stuff but then they find solutions if you can't provide that paperwork. They're very professional plus they know what they're doing and I like that. Jersey Mortgage was really a good mortgage company.
I was looking for a mortgage and someone referred me to Jersey Mortgage. The Jersey representative was very nice and she was willing to help me. And also, all the people that were helping me were very good and worked with my schedule. When they need something, they would patiently ask me and I'd bring it. They're on time, and our connection is good. They are very professional with me, so I would refer anyone to them.
Jersey Mortgage had good customer service. Everyone was helpful and they explained stuff in an easy way. The guidance I received was straightforward. If I had a question, they were quick in their response. If I would be at home late night, they will respond right away. But even though they were clear, they should try to make the instruction clearer. In the package that they provide to the customers, they have to make sure it would be the proper breakdown because that’s where I got frustrated. I sent them two to three emails, “Can you tell me how much closing cost would be?” and I had to chase them for that. They have to provide a proper breakdown of the numbers. Other than that, everything else is good.
