Their system doesn't make sense to me. Twice I have been charged in full for purchases that were supposed to be financed over time. Customer service agents are no less robotic than an any AI. Mistakes & financial hardship are not factored in to their procedures, yet I was ensured a solution to suit my needs. They claim the system has already generated the loan & its terms. How funny that I am easily able to refinance my home & property, but not an e-bike through Affirm. There should be some way edit systems, terms or both.

The whole procedure is inconsistent. Buying power goes up & down for no reason, as far as I can tell, yet payment policies are rigid & unforgiving. They don't charge late charges. Instead they threaten credit scores for the following 7 years. I asked for a new payment arrangement due to my simple mistake. I had failed to notice options had changed since my original review a few moments prior to purchase. The whole thing is unduly frustrating. I do not recommend.

Ordered from Bugaboo for new donkey 6 and used Affirm, got email from Affirm saying that the order has been processed and nothing from Bugaboo. So called Bugaboo who then said they had not received money from Affirm, and order was cancelled, now Affirm are trying to say I still owe them for the product that had been cancelled and they cannot cancel the finance due to Bugaboo not sending Affirm the money back which Bugaboo claims not to have received. Back and forth on the phone and neither of them knows what is happening. All I know is don't use either of them and I won't be paying for a product I have not and never will receive.

    Affirm is one of the Worst Customer Service I’ve dealt with! They do not help you with a return issue. They blame the merchant and say you have to contact them directly! When you contact them directly you get Zero response or some generic reply how they will get back in 48 hours! Not the case my friends! The last time I emailed Genie was March 27, 2026 and I’m still waiting! Filed 4 disputes with Affirm for Genie and all have come back in favor of Genie! I provided proof with my emails and downloaded in each dispute and they still came back in favor of Genie!

    Total Joke folks, do not fall for this crap! Affirm has their employees reading a cue card with the same ridiculous answers they repeat over and over! You can hear screaming and yelling in the background while you’re trying to discuss your issue. It’s a circus, not a business! And the money guys are cleaning up while they let these people answer the phone and get yelled at by customers who lose it! Disgusting!

    Very good, just have question why I was charged $65 dollars, when I said $5? How do I get this adjusted? My caller was very professional and patient with me. Explained to me the washer that I have.

    I have been contacting Affirm since November 2025. Someone is using my information. I’ve called. Sent emails. No resolution. Today I called. They told me to create an account. I tried and now it’s a totally different email. I have sent screenshots and everything. Today I was on the phone for over an hour. I was transferred 8x and still no resolution. Told me to try and make an account again in 24 hours.

    I am writing this review after exhausting every available channel with Affirm, including disputes, appeals, direct escalation to Customer Care, and public outreach. My issue arose from a purchase financed through Affirm where the merchant failed to meet paid, guaranteed delivery terms and refused cancellation before shipment. Despite extensive documentation, multiple disputes were denied based primarily on eventual delivery rather than the actual issue central to my dispute. Since then, the merchant has shut down entirely, leaving no practical avenue for refunds or returns.

    Affirm’s Customer Care has been largely unresponsive or unhelpful. After posting a detailed review on Trustpilot, Affirm publicly instructed me to contact Customer Care, despite the fact that I had already done so multiple times without meaningful engagement. Following up again based on that instruction did not result in substantive help. I have been an Affirm customer in good standing for years, with many completed loans paid on time. This was my first dispute, and the lack of responsiveness and rigid handling has been deeply disappointing. Based on this experience, I no longer trust Affirm’s dispute process and will not be using the service going forward.

    Their site needs to be reexamined for security breaches. My phone service provider, MetroPCS contracted me with Affirm to finance my new cell phone last year which I fully paid off a few days ago. I filed disputes on their site for the over $2,000 worth of loans and for the unauthorized charges for Temu. They refuse to resolve my issue, so I am warning everyone to not use this service. You would be compromising your card information for hackers because Affirm failed to protect mine. Makes me wonder if they're the actual fraudsters since they adamantly refuse to resolve my issue and expect me to pay for Temu garbage that I never bought!

    My friend bought a couple of things off Amazon. She had cancer and was having surgery to have implants put in and she needed my address cause she was gonna be out of town and didn't want her stuff stolen... so I gave her my address and she asked for my cell (I assumed for Amazon being we are both in our late 50s and early 60s) not knowing cell phone ordering stuff very well. We live 30 mins apart from each other and I just answered her questions. Lol... anyways it got charged to me... 238$ worth... so she called and talked to Amazon. Canceled it and reordered it and Amazon said I had to talk to Affirm.

    I called, they investigated not even 24. Hrs.. and told me I'm responsible for it... I can't cancel through Amazon cause I didn't order it on my account; she ordered on hers... but it went to my Affirm... Yes, she made a mistake. We both did... but now Affirm won't check her stuff and compare it to mine to determine they are charging her and me as well. Now they expect me to pay... IDK what to do. I told them I was going to the BBB about this and on their site, write a review...

    I’ve been using Affirm for over 5 years and have spent at least $5,000 on purchases. I always set up automatic payments, and they’ve never had any issues collecting. My purchasing power has been around $3,500 for a long time. Right now, I only have a balance of about $1,300, and I should have enough purchasing power to buy a $1,200 laptop but is not the case.

    This is what happens when companies lose focus on customer service and leave everything in the hands of machines (AI) to make decisions, taking away all the ability for real people to help customers. Don’t get me wrong — I’m not against AI. In fact, I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in AI. But I am against misusing it and letting a computer system make all the decisions. If they keep going this way, another company like ZIP, Klarna, Sezzle, etc., will surpass them. I’ve always given a simple example: learn from Amazon — what made them great is how they treat their customers, especially their loyal ones who have never failed them.

    If I could leave a zero I would! I've been using Affirm for over 6 years and was my favorite way to pay for things. But today I try to log in and they've added more security. Well my social security apparently doesn't match. That's funny since to get credit they need my ss# I owe them payments and I'm locked out of my account! Called customer service 3 times. Of course they're in the Philippines! But first you have to yell at the AI robot! I will never use affirm again! They can't even figure out how to sign me back into my account. Such bullshit
