I wanted to subscribe to Hulu and then learned that I could subscribe as a bundle with my premium Disney Plus account so I did. I was unable to sign in to my account then paid for hulu in addition to save myself the headache. I was not able to sign in- as the account email was already associated with my actual account so I contacted their telephone support. They were unable to help me out let alone speak the english language and I was hung up on. I am canceling my subscription and will just borrow passwords from friends. Nice work guys.
Horrible customer service. Twice I have contacted support and neither time could they fix the problem. The second time after two multi hour sessions on chat, I told them if they could not fix the problem they should refund my yearly subscription and cancel the account. So they cancelled the account and refunded a pro-rated amount. ** idiots. They just gave up! There is an obvious software problem with updating profiles which apparently, they refuse to fix which gives a minor primary account access to change anything.
The bundle billing is incredibly confusing. I was using ESPN+ and Hulu before Disney Plus even came out. I then got the bundle to try it out. Disney+ is useless except for kids so eventually I try to cancel. I was being charged across multiple cards for the one bundle for no reason and they couldn't figure out what charge was for what service. I wanted to keep hulu and espn+ but they couldn't figure it out so I canceled them all. Horrible experience. STAY AWAY!!!!
Worst streaming service ever - continuously buffers and then crashes with error 83 - this happens multiple times a day when TRYING to watch a show. This matter has been reported by numerous people, yet Disney does NOTHING to resolve the quality. Sub-contracting a company in India to run the service on your behalf does not absolve you from fixing your errors or your customer complaints falling on deaf ears. You will follow the same path as Netflix with a downward subscriber trajectory if you don't do something about this. And yes, my device is compatible! Also fix the feature when the next episode starts, that it does not jump out from full screen view + if we had something play and want to rewatch it, we do not have to start the episode at the end and manually click on the start of the episode to rewatch.
My son is only 7 years old and he has autism and he absolutely loves the Disney Plus app on our tv. I pay $10 every month just for him to enjoy this app. I also have it downloaded on his tablet so he can watch the app anytime he wants on his tablet. It's easy to navigate. He loves it. I grew up watching Disney. I'm 44 years old and I absolutely love Disney. I love their cartoons. I love the old Disney movies. It's timeless. It's classic. It's wonderful. But Disney has changed. It's changed with the times of this recent trend for homosexuality to be so open. And I'm not. It's been a busy week. I hope you're taking good care of yourself saying that people should not have a choice to do what they want in their life as adults. But my huge serious ginormous concern is Disney is putting homosexual cartoons in front of my little boy's eyes.
There is a cartoon titled "OUT" AND I NOTICED MY SON HAD BEEN WATCHING IT!!! I clicked on it and it's about a gay man coming out to his family about being in a sexual relationship with another male. How is this appropriate Disney? My son is 7 years old!!!! And I want to know why Disney has this in front of little kid's eyes? Who decided to put this garbage in front of my child's eyes???? I know that I probably won't make a difference or get a response from Disney. But I'm going to be canceling my service and I encourage all other parents to cancel your service if they don't remove the homosexual cartoons from the app. I am also going to be creating a petition and I will be circulating it on Facebook for all parents to sign and then once it's signed and I've reached a thousand signatures or more I'm going to be sending it to Disney to have them remove that Out cartoon from the app. That is not appropriate for a little boy to be watching.
Keep your sexuality to yourself. I am a heterosexual woman. But I don't make cartoons about it for my son to watch. Disney is supposed to reflect childhood innocence and and being a kid. Never have I ever as a child seen any Disney movie that talked about sex. Or sexuality or Identity or gender or none of that. How confusing is this for children today? I feel so sorry for them. You people need to keep your private business to yourself. And Disney you should be ashamed of yourself. I can tell that new corporate people are running this app now because 50 years ago this would have never been on TV. I think Walt Disney would be appalled!!!! SHAME ON YOU DISNEY PLUS. GET RID OF THE INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT. YOU ARE HARMING OUR CHILDREN.
American living in Germany. Have always enjoyed Disney movies and subscribed for a taste of home. They get your with the exclusive content but it's a garbage product. The actual streaming service works maybe 20% of the time. In a world where Netflix exists, the comparison is atrocious. Don't bother.
1st of all, there is no option button to start from beginning, you have to make sure you play the program all the way to the very end if you want to re-watch it. 2nd, If you are a Starwars fan like me (saw the very 1st one, A New Hope in a movie theater), it's a huge middle finger to those fans whose loyalty stood the test of time. Any new series or Starwars movies will only be on Disney + and not in theaters for ALL to enjoy (movies), so fans are being forced to subscribe to a greedy company who doesn't understand the words fan and loyalty. 3rd, limited unoriginal programming. 4th, if you are a parent, then the kids stuff is cool but only for kids who are 10 and younger. 5th, don't agree with the subliminal messaging about hate, racism, gender neutral and homosexuality.
Disney Plus must be a very desperate company for $$$$. I stupidly took out a one year sub and used it ZERO times - NOTHING to watch if you don't have toddlers. Anyway, I ate that cost but then it auto renewed - I contacted company the same day and they refused refund!!!! Wow - I have never had that happen! Like I am going to let $134 slide. Anyway, I contacted my payment service who will hopefully take care of it. This is an act of desperation by a company trying to be greedy. It will only impact my willingness to subscribe to other services if I have to go through this hassle.
I grew up on Disney. I’ve seen every movie, and then bought Disney Plus for my kids. But once I found out that Disney was advocating for perverse curriculum in schools, I canceled my account. Disgusting!!!
This is by far the absolute worst streaming services of them all. Works 25% of the time. Customer service takes ages to speak to and they spend the whole time troubleshooting my internet. I have unlimited broadband. I'm streaming Netflix just fine. The wasteful technical hoops required to jump through are not worth the wasted time and energy. My internet connection is fine. I lost power and switched to watching on my phone. Power came back on so I tried to watch on my tv. Error code comes up on tv saying "suspicious activity account blocked." Not, "Internet signal weak." It's been 2 hours and I never did find someone to help. I got mansplained by Rommil and Philip and achieved nothing. One star across the board.
The experience as of being an adult and finding out what the company is really like is horrific. Disney and Disney+ are only in it for money. I can’t believe I spend as much money as I have on my child knowing this company gets the money. I spent 2 days trying to have them fix my account and spent hours and hours on chats, phone calls with regular employees to “higher tier supervisors”. All for them to 1 not help, 2 to find out they don’t agree to their terms and agreements on bill dates. They will either charge you early or late never when they say they will. Your app and their system will say different dates. 3. They will never offer you free anything for inconvenience or time taken when it’s their system's fault, when you haven’t been able to use your app for over a week, now they can’t even find my account anymore. And they just say re apply.
They will never be loyal or care about their customers, they lie cause they told me they have never had billing issues like this before, to come look at the reviews online. I will never stand for a piggish avaricious company like this. What happened to the world, 'cause yes I may be frustrated and pissed off with them but setting it aside why would you do that to children? It’s super extremely sad on the companies' part. Especially through hard times with the pandemic.
I was being billed twice per month for these services. So I notified the company and some smart mouth lady got on the phone and I had to get her in order so I canceled my monthly Disney+ because of a smart mouth heifer that didn’t know how to conduct business. My message is pay attention to your account to make sure you are only billed once per month.
The selection is not up to par with other streaming services like Netflix, Prime, or even Paramount. I subscribed primarily because of the Marvel Universe movies, but they don't even have all of the movies. For example, Spooder-man is nowhere to be found. He plays a major role in the Marvel Phases.
The best streaming service I have ever downloaded is Disney Plus. Even though it entered into a field of streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, Business of Apps reported the platform gained one million subscribers within 24 hours of its launch. When my family subscribed to Disney Plus, I was excited to watch Disney movies like Monsters Inc. and Tangled with my cousins, as well as Captain America with my parents all in one place. Some aspects that make this service so great are usability, family-friendly content, and affordability.
Disney Plus is simple to use with large titles and an easy-to-read menu. Categories presented on the homepage are Disney, Star Wars, National Geographic, Pixar, and Marvel. This platform is also available for download on personal devices. These features make Disney Plus straightforward to navigate for young and old people in the family.
The most attractive part about Disney Plus is its family-friendly content. Fresh content is added to the platform each month. Although a majority of content from Disney is kid-friendly, parents can apply controls to modify exactly what their kids can watch. This feature helps my grandparents when we visit because they can set child-specific controls while keeping their typical entertainment on a different profile. The last thing that makes this service so family-friendly is the cost. At only $8 a month, Disney Plus is great entertainment for an affordable price. If you are looking for an affordable streaming service with fresh entertainment, Disney Plus is a great family-friendly option.
I wanted to sign up for Disney +. Filled out the form and ready to go for it, yearly fee. The website hung me up on the "Zip Code!" I tried many time and the site wouldn't let me check the subscription. Maybe force me to use Paypal so it's hard to cancel IDK.? Kinda pisses me off!
Disney Plus works fine but Hulu & ESPN+ works horrible. Every time you are watching a show it keeps freezing. Hulu always gives an error message. You call customer service for Hulu and they tell you to call Disney. I have enjoyed the shows on Hulu but can't never get through a whole show without it freezing and same watching ESPN+.
Signed up for bundle through wireless provider. I had a HULU account under a different Email which I had cancelled months ago. Went to activate in bundle under my new Email, would not even recognize the bundle Email. Only lets me log in under old Email and asks for payment. Disney tech support totally useless. Did not help one bit. No solutions, not even a suggestion.
I signed up for Disney Bundle. No problem logging in to Disney +. Tried using link to activate Hulu only to be directed to sign up and select Disney Bundle on Hulu. ESPN+ signed in, and only get error. Have had to remove and add ESPN 3 times and still not able to see anything because of APP error. Credit card bill comes in - charged by both Disney and Hulu for the Bundle. Finally track down help/customer service with Hulu. They get Disney on line - tell me they will drop Disney and refund charge. Received refund for $5.80 for no ad add-on. Then 1/2 hour later emails received. Hulu canceled (no refund), Disney canceled (no refund). Paid monthly fee twice for 1 week of 2/3 service. I will not reactivate either.

First person kept me on phone over an hour. Sitting on hold for the THIRD time I got hung up on. Second person hung up on me in less than five minutes. Third person was the RUDEST person I have EVER ENCOUNTERED. Told me to delete everything and download it all again. "Only thing you can do" after two other reps actually TRIED to resolve the issue. But then they both HUNG UP ON ME! My only day off, on the phone over TWO hours, now I'm told to delete everything and download it all again! My downloads disappeared from the app. Shows nothing downloaded! Still taking up space on iPad. This is the FOURTH time in the last month I have had issues with my downloads!! Tried to talk to somebody live on chat and got disconnected from them as well! WORST SERVICE EVER. If I hadn't made the mistake of paying for a year I would cancel.
This has been the best app for my family. It literally has everything for everyone so no one is left out. All of my favorite classics are included with the new modem shows that my toddler loves. I would recommend this app to anyone.
Disney Plus is more than just a child's app. It has most of the Marvel movies... It has National Geographic series, movies, and specials. It has ancient times, world times, ocean stuff... Disney, Pixar, and Star War movies. The categories are so cool. You can even view stuff "inspired by books", which I love. Musical, Animated, Action, Adventure... Disney channel favorite shows and series.
Disney already makes an insane amount of money, now they have a streaming service which you pay a monthly fee for but now they also managed to find a loophole not only do you need the streaming service but their new movies require extra money. If we are paying a monthly fee why can’t it be like Netflix that you can see everything in their service. This is the big let down I have with Disney. It makes them look less family friendly and more corporate greedy mongers.
When using Android tablet to watch Disney Plus streaming app, not matter what is recommended by the customer service people, it would not connect. PS4 seems to just got fixed, and Firestick 4K sometimes connects and sometimes does not, but Android app, Unable to connect to Disney Plus service.
Doesn't have The Boatniks and other Disney comedies available to paying customers. I know Disney has many more titles under its control that they not providing to their paying customers. They available on other sites if you pay for them. There is a lot of new junk that's not worth watching.
Our review of Disney Plus... We tried the service for 2 months after much hype. Not satisfied. 6 weeks later we decided to move on and cancel. The selections are very, very limited and all becomes boring with virtually no change in new content. Free Roku has a much better selection always changing content as a good option. Many other free options are available that are better than Disney Plus. Definitely much better out there. Check all your options.
I signed up, that was the only thing that worked. After that I was emailed useless links that did not work but they won't turn on your account until you use their links even though they already billed you for it. Then I try and raise customer service and get the endless run around trying to get help but being stuck in a useless artificial intelligence. After forever screaming at the artificial intelligence trying to get a real person I finally get a real person only to have them tell me I need to give them a new email if I want to sign up. Good thing filing a credit card fraud report is nowhere near this hard because they are total scam artists!!!
I thought I was watching a cute animated short film. Suddenly something sickening happened. Out of the blue. So sad and disturbing. I wanted to vomit. I can't imagine a child coming across this. Children shouldn't learn about dog fighting or the mistreatment of animals in such a shocking, no warning kind of way. This is terrible. As an adult I don't appreciate what this content did to me, and for Disney to have it . . . My child will never watch Disney. Shame on you all.
Can you imagine watching a show that has several year history with 14 or so shows per season and having the show pulled while you're streaming it? This is what happened to us and several other people. There was NO explanation and no prior notice, just no show. This happened as well to movies that they "think" can simply be removed without informing consumers. This is a brand new streaming services, we get that. However, they OWN Hulu and Hulu has alerts to let you know when a show/movie/series will be pulled. So does Pluto, Crackle, Tubi, Roku and so many other free services, as well as premium services. It is called caring for your subscribers.
Secondly and to me even as frustrating is that Disney is "touching up" all their animation, all voices they 'don't like', basically making their shows unwatchable once done. They took away most of their "multiplane" movies, flattened them for 4 G and it now is unwatchable. Some of the voices have been sped up, other's changed altogether. It IS horrible. The Wonderful World of Disney (and it's 26 years on TV) is almost nonexistent and listed under "opening day at Disneyland" to find what seems to be left of what they have, nowhere else. Want to watch classic Disney is now mostly being sent to HOOPLA and other streaming access set up by libraries, so we know there are more videos that Disney isn't bothering to give us access to.
This is crazy. We are paying for the channel! As for $6.99 consider cheap as a streaming service, can I remind you that there are still other streaming opportunities that are just as "cheap" that offer better services and at least will let you know when the shows are going to be pulled, and don't play around with the videos. Lastly, National Geo is a NIGHTMARE for any parent that wants to show nature shows, unless they want PTSD for their children and nightmares. This channel has gone into every show about aggression of animals and how they kill, which isn't what GEO is supposed to be about. (My degree is in anthropology, so I have some idea of their history, okay?) They need to do better and at least be there for their consumers.
While Disney Plus offers lots of access to their content they've produced over the ages (which is great), there is a new theme emerging that is troubling. Disney Plus is starting to introduce homosexual themed content intended for children to watch and have exposure to. I understand homosexuality is a complex social issue, but Disney should NOT be taking it upon themselves to expose and indoctrinate children to this kind of behavior via animation. For thousands of years, the traditional family has been the fundamental unit of society and teaching young children that these societal trends are ever changing only creates more questions and confusion, especially inside homes where traditional Judeo-Christian family values are taught.
Parents should decide when and how to have these conversations with their children, NOT Disney Plus. If this kind of content continues for Disney Plus as the push to make homosexual relationships the new normal in all their content, I will be cancelling my subscription and I would encourage any and all who share these same traditional family values to do the same.
I paid for a year of service, week 2 and I still can't watch a movie without an error code interrupting our movie. Customer service is horrid at resolving such issues, and blame my 100mb per sec isp. We haven't been able to watch anything without it buffering, till it error codes out.
