When I came to Freedom Debt Relief, I was in a real bind! The phone calls were driving me crazy! I was a school teacher and they even called me at work! Freedom Debt Relief stopped all the calls! They got me on an affordable path to pay off all of my bills! I don't know what I would have done without them! They are always there anytime to help if a problem does arise! Freedom Debt Relief gave me my mind back so I could focus on making the money to pay back my debts! Thank you!
FDR informed me that I was done with my payments to Bank of America. However, a few months later, a collection company contacted me in regards to the debt. Apparently, per FDR, there was a "clerical" error in which a payment appeared to Bank of America as having not been made. Although FDR made the claim that this was indeed an error and provided me documentation to show all payments were made, BOA refuses to honor the initial settlement agreement. It seems that FDR does not have to capability to actually communicate with the businesses of the clients in order to rectify situations such as this.
I have spent years battling this, and I still do not know where this case stands. I keep waiting for more letters and calls from collector, not to mention that it continues to hurt my credit score. FDR assigned a person to my "issue", but other than this (this person is unable to accomplish anything since they cannot deal directly with BOA), FDR does not seem to have any action plan in place to resolve a situation such as this. I fulfilled my part of the agreement; I made all my required payments. It aggravates me greatly that FDR has been unable to rectify my situation.
It ended up costing much more than quoted to pay off, and it took a year longer to pay off all the accounts. I had to pay two of the accounts directly so I wouldn't be taken to court. I am not sure I would recommend doing this. It may be possible to make better arrangements directly with the creditors.
FDR was a big help to me resolving my finances. I was able to consolidate all my big credit card balances and paid it for 3 years. Now I'm so happy to be debt free from my big debts. I recommended Freedom Debt Relief to my stepdaughter and she's very happy too; she did it. And best of all, I got a $250 fee for recommending. Now I am working on another prospect.
Well, the program "works" as long as you can make it through the whole process. However, if you encounter any issues along the way, it will make your life miserable. Freedom Debt Relief is terrible with details. They will miss most of them and I assure you, it is to your detriment. I had a specific issue where a collector did not take the 1st of 14 payments but took 2-14, and Freedom Debt Relief's only suggestion to me was to re-negotiate the new balance minus the payments I had sent in for 14 months. Freedom Debt Relief has never finished the process with me, although I believe I have been finished with the program for years.
Freedom Debt Relief had no intention of stop drawing money out of my account. At the end, I had to close the account to get them to stop. I have no clue where Freedom Debt Relief has put my escrow balance. I called a total of 15 times over a period of 6 months; I do not think they know where it is either. In short, the program works, but do not expect Freedom Debt Relief to act as your friend, partner, etc. They will cause you misery as you go. I am pretty sure you can do this whole program without them. If I had to do it over, I would give it a go without them - far less hassle and you can work with a person you can trust, yourself.
I have been debt free for about five years. Contacting FDR was the best thing I have ever done. They got the creditors to stop calling and by following their advice and payment schedule, I was out of debt (totally) in 25 months. I would recommend them to anyone that is serious about getting out of debt.
I was very satisfied with Freedom Debt Relief's service. I was WAY over my head in Credit card debt. Customer Service was very nice to work with. They helped me get out of debt and get back to having good credit. Thanks, FDR, for all your help! I have recommended you to others as well.
I am not happy at all. You totally lied you did get the amount owed reduced, but they turned me into IRS and I was responsible for the difference plus all the money I paid you. Your advisors said oh they rarely submit to IRS for difference. That's a load of crap. As far as I can see, you should negotiate this stuff yourself and I could have used all the money I paid you upfront to put towards the taxes. What a waste of time and money you were. I tell everyone not to use you and neg themselves. I have blogged you on every site I found.
Thanks to Freedom Debt Relief, I am currently debt free. Moreover, my experience has enabled me to become a savvier consumer and financially secure. FDR was with me during a very fragile time of my life and assisted me in the debt solution process with precision, fairness, and perseverance. They help me gain my confidence and take hold of my financial future.
I can't describe how grateful I am to Freedom Debt Relief. They truly turned my life around. I struggled every month to pay my bills but didn't seem to get ahead. Then I found FDR and now I am debt free. I will never be a slave to a credit card again. Now that's FREEDOM.
I was in a difficult situation, falling short on my payments with three credit cards. The late payment was pilling up. I tried to make a deal with the credit cards but I was unsuccessful so someone told me about Freedom. Freedom was very helpful to me. We had a contract. We both keep our end of the contract, and I was very satisfied with the result. I will recommend Freedom to anyone.
I worked with Freedom Debt Relief and was a little hesitant to begin the consolidation process. I had never missed a payment before, but even though I was sending a very high monthly payment to try to pay down my debt, it wasn't working. I weighed the pros and cons and decided that if I was serious about getting out of debt, then I needed help. It was a little stressful to receive calls from creditors, but being able to give Freedom's info helped. Knowing that I was doing something was better than feeling like I was never going to get out of debt.
I began putting the high monthly payment into my Freedom account and was able to finish the program even faster than the 3-year time estimate they had given me. I liked that there was flexibility in being able to pay more than my monthly minimum and also being able to change dates, etc. Also, because I was putting additional money into the account, I had more in there than what my settlement actually ended up being. Freedom returned the extra money in a timely manner and I had no issues with getting the automatic withdrawal to stop after I completed the program. There was no runaround during any point in the process.
I was very pleased with Freedom and as long as you know what to expect with debt settlement (creditor calls, temporarily lowering your rate scores, etc.), then I recommend that you "walk through the fire" to get yourself out of debt. I'm happy to say that I don't use credit cards anymore and I definitely owe that to Freedom Debt Relief.
One of my American Express credit cards was not resolved. It went to collection agencies from one to another and then the court and when I asked about the fees, they simply said "cannot reimburse due to company policy". Currently, it's still in collection but my account is closed with Freedom Financial!!
When I decided to call Freedom Financial, I was behind all the time. Credit card companies were charging high interest rates and if you were late, they charged you even more. I felt that they didn't really care about me one way or another. They were just costing me more and more and I was never going to be debt free if I didn't do something. That's when I decided to call Freedom Financial. The rest is now history; it took me 3 years to work through my debt but with the help of Freedom, I was able to become debt free. It has lifted a tremendous weight off my shoulders. Thank you, Freedom Financial.
The whole process at Freedom Debt Relief was conducted on a very high professional manner. At any time I needed a question answered, all I had to do was make the call and they were always there for me. From start to finish, I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief... There are a lot of options out there, just make this one call. Thank you.
Freedom did a superb job for me and I am much better off for having gone through the program they so deftly operated. I was hesitant and scared - but this is a super answer to financial problems. I would strongly advise people to check the Freedom Debt Relief program out. It pays down debt quickly and puts years back on your life by eliminating worry. The person who explained the program was most thorough and answered every question I have. Subsequent follow up was more than adequate at all times - and sometimes truly excellent.
They did a fabulous job and in two years paid off three high balance Credit Cards at around 40% of what I owed and so much for the CC Co. raising my interest to 30% plus. I would highly recommend Freedom for any help needed to get relief from CC debt. If I had it to do over again, I would not hesitate.
I paid FDR close to $7,000 and your company didn't settle anything for us. One company just sent us a 10-99 for taxes and wrote off the debt. Two other companies sued us and FDR settled both at 100%. So again, they didn't do anything to help us. They had no problem taking the money and were supposed to give us back money for not meeting their settlement agreement promise. I could have done what they did because they did nothing for us. I ended up filing bankruptcy after the mess FDR left us in, not to mention $7,000 poorer. They are not a good company and will steal your money. Good luck getting any of it back. Bankruptcy cost less than half of FDR's prices for doing nothing. Terrible company, don't fall for it.
I am grateful that Freedom Debt Relief helped me out of debt. A few suggestions when you are going through the process of getting out of debt: Learn the system. Pay as much as possible in the beginning. Pay above the monthly payment. I wished I would have paid it off earlier. Visit your online account, both Freedom Debt Relief and the participating Global Bank. Lastly, stay on top of your paperwork and do not assume anything. I would like to touch on the pay off earlier suggestion. Your credit cards can still accrue interest before they are settled. If you are consistent managing your account, your experience will be less stressful.
I was very pleased with the service that I received during my time on the program. I was informed on everything that was taking place from start to finish. Without this program, I would still be struggling to get my life back on track. I can truly say that now I'm in a better place financially and looking forward to living worry free of credit card bills.
You forgot to tell me that even if you knock down the full payment due... the IRS was coming after me with the balance due to the creditors. Had I known, I would have stayed with the creditors. I had to borrow money from friends and the bank to pay the IRS.
Freedom Debt Relief worked with me when I had a better offer from one of my credit cards than Freedom Debt Relief could offer. One day, I was checking my account and discovered that my debt was paid off. I called them and immediately they took action to close out my account. Three years sounds like a long time but it went by quickly. I currently have no credit cards and if I want something, I pay cash.
I was getting a headache... trying to pay my credit card off. No matter how hard I try, it wasn't going down. Freedom Debt Relief came and helped me pay off my credit and not only help me pay them off, they also showed me how to handle my money better. It was very hard the first three months but then you don't miss the money. They're out to help pay the cards off... but now I feel a whole lot better because I am not in debt and I want to thank you for helping me get out of debt.
I had a great experience with Freedom Debt Relief. I enjoyed their friendliness and they make you feel like you can talk with them anytime and tell them anything. They are there to help you and the payment plan was something I could handle on a bi-weekly arrangement. If I get in another situation like the one I was in (I hope I don't), I would definitely call them.
I found out that it’s cheaper if you do it yourself. If you have the number to the credit card company, call them and make a settlement without Freedom Financial (FF). I had a Discover card that would not deal with third party companies so I had to negotiate with them by myself. Although I did all of the negotiation, I still had to pay FF a percentage of the settlement. I had a Chase card that I was able to settle for less than what FF could and again, I still had to pay them a percentage. The only card they MAYBE helped with was Bank of America but at the tie Bank of America was required to settle at a certain percentage by the US Government. So to sum up again... do it yourself and save thousands of dollars.
We paid our balance off in full, and it took over a year to get account resolved and closed resulting in more added fees. Plus, we called month after month and were given the runaround. Not very satisfied. I definitely wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. They want you to do your part in the agreement but don’t want to do theirs.
My husband and I were in WAY over our heads - new house, excessive spending, and too much credit card debt. (-in the neighborhood of 60K) With the downturn on employment, some family issues and the housing market we were really strapped to make ends meet. We looked into the usual solutions, none of which really could help. Then we discovered Freedom Financial. They were really helpful and didn't make us feel like second or third class citizens. Sure, it sucked big time committing to almost $1,000 month nut going to their account, but we resolved our credit card issues within three years (9 months earlier than our contract estimated!). I don't remember the exact amount of money they helped us save, but it had to be close to $40K! I'd recommend their services to anyone who currently finds themselves in credit crisis.
My experience with Freedom Debt Relief was great, convenient and in the end, I had saved so much money. They allowed me to get back on track and taught me how to get back to managing my finances. Debt doesn't have to control your life. Take action and get relief with Freedom Debt Relief.
I initially signed up for a 24-month program. Now, it is 32 months; I have more than enough money in a special designated account with one remaining credit card account outstanding. I called twice every month to ask them why they are not doing anything on this account. I got all types of crazy answers from the customer services rep. My remaining balance is only $3200 and I have close to $4000 in a special designated account with Global Client Solution. Yet, Freedom Debt Relief still hangs me dry on this matter.
I have been enrolled in this program for over 11 months with just over $12k in debt and not only have the negotiations seemingly gone nowhere, but I cannot connect with the negotiators or a competent customer service rep to weigh my options. Additionally, despite reporting changes in my debt collector status, the debt collector FDR is negotiating with never changes in my account dashboard. I would have been much better off negotiating with my creditors directly than letting FDR do this for me. I am completely unsatisfied with this service. Do not use Freedom Financial, Freedom Debt Relief or whatever it is called. Find another agency or do the legwork yourself. I am finding that creditors are more than willing to work with you to resolve your debts in an affordable and timely manner. Beware of this service.
