    To be fair the Service is fine. Everything else about 8x8 is a nightmare. We have been using 8x8 for 9 years. They used to be a good company and we had a dedicated rep for our 40+ properties across the US. Support used to be good too as you could call in and get a helpful person on the other end of the phone. Unfortunately something changed at 8x8. My rep was reassigned and I got multiple reps for all of my different sites. They just send me an email saying, "I'm your new rep," but don't to tell me the site. Not helpful when you have 40+ accounts.

    The support is very bad and can only be done initially through a web portal and then through email. There is a chatbot that is worthless. We have been moving all of our accounts away from 8x8 for these reasons to another provider that still maintains good customer service and support for the same price. This is taking a bit of time since 8x8 has now moved from being able to set your account to a month to month plan to annual auto renewal terms. You have to hit the notice just right. Also it has taken up to 4 months to port lines away from them. Nightmare of a company. I would strongly suggest to anyone that they shop around.

    Reliable, cloud-based, and easy to manage. We transitioned from a telco providing our business telephone service to 8x8, and it was a significant change to a more cost-effective, better option for us. It's been over a year, and we have had no issues or problems with 8x8.

    We have been using 8x8 for several months now and have received very good support and patience. We have used the support for oddball quests and references and they are always on top of their game. I would recommend 8x8 to everyone!

    8x8 has been a great acquirement for the company for over a year. No technical problem has been found, and customer service is great. Every time we needed to open a ticket with support, the SLA was covered on time, and the problemed was solved with a clear resolution. Also, the Fax service is great and easy to use.

    8x8 has been a very poor customer experience for my small business. It took over four weeks to poverty two numbers and the after sale support has been non-existent. 8x8 is great when they are looking to get a signed contract. Then, they assign you to a account manager that doesn’t reply to questions or concerns. My phone is a critical tool for my small business and I made a big mistake choosing 8 x 8.

    I have deployed many web-based phone systems, but 8x8 was by far the easiest to do. Options for physical devices, softphones or cell phone app were a great fit for our business. Remote users can plug any headset into their laptop to make and receive calls, Salespeople can add the 8x8 app to their phone to keep personal and business contacts separate... But mostly, the administrative panel is very easy to use. Great product, but mostly Great Decision.

    8x8 is a great service to have in place when times require us to be flexible and mobile. I highly recommend this service. It is flat rate and the bill always stays at the same amount month after month. I love this system. It works on Polycom phones as well as an app for IOS or Android systems. It's easy to run with or without hardware.

    I first used 8x8 when I was starting a small part time Chiropractic clinic. For their most basic plan, it was inexpensive and offered the ability to take calls on my cell phone when I wasn't physically in the office. Working on a shoestring budget, it was a great option, and never left me feeling like I needed more. Now, I am in a much bigger office with 3 staff members and multiple phone/fax lines. We are utilizing the service to its full potential, and it has never let us down!! Highly recommend them, in fact another provider in town switched to 8x8 on my recommendation and they love it too!!

    I am current customer and every time I call to change something, I get the run around on the phone and very tough to speak to a manger for some reason. The contracting process and tricky and they make very difficult to get out of it even when you are very unhappy with the service. Horrible company, poorly trained staff and therefore awful customer service. I am looking for ending my relationship with them. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM!

    I signed up for the service and expressed my needs. I tried the products and they didn't work. When I tried to cancel I was met with a lot of red tape and continued CC charges even after I received emails stating my account was closed. AVOID!!

    To expand on my previous review. I was immediately refunded the amount I was incorrectly billed as it showed on my credit card online the same day. Never have received a credit so fast. I still do not recommend the company for VOIP phones but I can give them 5 stars for crediting my account back so fast.

    After speaking with their sales person, I signed up for a trial period to test out the system. I found their system very difficult to program and their training sessions did not provide enough details to give solid step by step instructions. To my shock, I was charged for a month of service when I thought all I was doing was trying out their system. I never ordered any phones. They have you agree to a monthly plan before you decide on going with them in order to test them out. I even canceled within their 30 day test period and I still got charges on my credit card. Submitted for a refund today and will let you know if I get the refund. I do not recommend this company and do not even try them out without making sure you get the details by email of how to cancel etc.

    Our company decided to get 8X8 phone service. Sales person was very nice and said we would get support, blah, blah, blah. We had trouble from the beginning and were never able to get the system up and running. We offered to pay someone to come out and set it up but were told they don't do that and we could refer to the website and videos for assistance. We continued to pay for it on time monthly even though they knew we weren't using it and couldn't cancel.

    About 5 months later, the owner of the company passed away due to Covid. I called 8X8 to let them know that I have never even used the service and the company is in limbo so is there anyway to cancel. I was abruptly told no and I would have to pay off the year and a half of service remaining if I didn't want the service any longer. Where is the understanding and compassion for your customers? Think twice about the company ethics and values before signing up with them. If anything happens at all, you are on the hook.

    I install multiple phone system types for a living working for a managed services provider. This is my honest perspective on 8x8 vs competition. I've personally deployed over 100 8x8 systems, and over a thousand total systems of various types. 8x8 is a wonderful service when it works. The call quality is great. The administrative portal is easy to use in comparison to most competitors. The licensing structure is easy to understand and the desktop platform is user friendly. So long as there's never any problems, you'll have a great experience.

    The problems start when your problems start though. Trying to get help from 8x8's support team is possibly one of the most frustrating parts of deploying and maintaining these systems. Technicians get swapped out on the tickets often, and will re-ask questions that have already been answered in the conversation. I often open tickets with as much detail as possible, and get asked questions that were already clearly answered in the initial comment. I've had many customers with problems that seems simple (IE adding a third party device to the system and getting credentials for that), that takes 8x8 literal weeks or months to get resolved. I've had tickets closed on me without any resolution being provided, and I've had to call back in to get it reopened or get answers.

    They seem to always ignore the requested communication type listed on the ticket, as they always try calling first instead of responding via email like I typically request. Then they'll close the ticket out if I don't answer the phone calls because I was expecting a email. I don't think I've had 8x8 actually resolve a single problem in the 3+ years I've worked as a integration partner selling their services, without having to babysit them and make sure it's being worked on and actually resolved. I cannot imagine what the frustration must be like for customers that don't have the experience I do with telephone equipment. Therefore it's very hard to recommend this service to any of my customers now. A fair warning to anyone that purchases 8x8's services.

    We have used 8X8 for several years now. Rarely have we had a customer service issue, but when we do, the response is quick and thorough. Follow-up and resources are also excellent. I personally appreciate the 8X8 Work app on my computer. It allows me to fax, text and make phone calls all in one place. Very convenient!

    We live in a very rural area of Idaho and run a business from our home. Our local telephone company wanted $37,000.00 to run the phone line half a mile to our property.     8x8 has been an extremely simple-to-use phone system. It works great for our remote users. We have never had any outages or performance issues. The setup is not 100% intuitive, but they have a great team to help you get everything set up and configured. We can add extensions and physical phones very easily. 8x8 service is very affordable.     I am very happy with the whole system once I got it set up the way I needed. I have been a customer for appox. 10 years or more. With the last system upgrade I no longer can make my own system tweaks and I have had a hard time find a technician to help with the tune up when I call after hours. Not many of their new hires can work on my older phone tree design when I call after hours for help. Calling during the day would be the simplest thing to do. Overall I give them an A+ (it will be an A++ when I get a very specific issue worked out).

    I have been a 8x8 business user for 14 years. The features are easy to use and save me tons over the local phone company. I use the soft phone on my pc and smartphone + headphones.     I have been using the 8X8 VOIP services and system for my business continually over the last 12 months, and it has been a valuable and glitch free system in every way, focusing on their Online phone and texting services. And their system and service is the most affordable system that I have found, with an easy monthly payment. And, their customer support has always been fast, competent, friendly and effective, with chat and even Live Support Team Members who speak excellent English, and they really their product and can fix any issue I have had (which have only been a few)..

    We have had 8X8 VoIP service for the past 3 years but unfortunately, they have dropped our 800 number and for the past 6-months we have attempted to get this straight with 8X8 service. Forget about their "customer service" rep, Gerard, he doesn't answer or return calls EVER. I have escalated this up the ladder but unfortunately it has ended with empty promises and finger pointing. So sad that a once-good company is now the absolute worst at customer service. I hope they get this straight by the end of this week or our relationship with 8x8 will be severed, and I will be offsetting their final invoice against the credits owned for charging us with a number that does not exist. Ridiculous!

    What a mess! Good luck if you can ever get the same response from two people at 8x8. Opened an account with them almost 4 years ago when I started a new company. We have grown very quickly, they are very quick to respond if you need to add a line. Yet, of course, make it super difficult to cancel a line. Regardless of that, if you talk to enough people, the line and license get cancelled, sometimes. Most of the time you will need to follow up with them again, and again, and again to make sure it's actually cancelled.

    Now here comes the really good part. As we continued growing, we went from 4-5 licenses and a dozen lines, to 210 licenses over those 3 years. Over that time spending over $200k with 8x8. As we grew and staff numbers fluctuated, like I mentioned we occasionally had to cancel licenses. Not once in those years was a cancellation fee mentioned when we needed to cancel a license. Well, as a company, we decided to move our entire sales team to a new CRM system, one of the huge perks to this new system was that everything was incorporated directly in the platform including a phone system for the sales people. This is close to 100 sales people and it would cost us more for the new system but the benefits were incredible. Move all 100 of these people to their new crm, go to cancel their licenses with 8x8.

    All of a sudden there are now cancellation fees for cancelling these licenses. What's the cancellation fee? The entire license fees for the year. By the way, this started back in January, and have been trying to get them reduced for the last 6 months. Talked to I can't tell you how many people, they refer you to someone higher up that has the authority to make that decision. Email them, no response. Literally they just ignore any email you send them, and of course the ironic part, they're a phone company, and none of these people pick up the phone.

    I repeatedly emailed them the most logical thing I could think of, as our company is continuing to grow in every other department, and we had no plans to leave 8x8, why in the world would 8x8 want to insist on these fees and make us so unhappy that we move our entire company to another phone service and sacrifice the next 10+ years of our growing business? Literally not one response. Please, as someone who has had to deal with 6 months of trying to rectify this, use any other phone company in America.

    8x8 is easy to use, and half the cost of our previous provider. You have to be somewhat technical to get your office set up as everything is computerized. They have a chat option which will work for most, but I like also having the option to call in to customer service. I do not regret changing providers to 8x8 and would recommend them.

    I am so happy that I purchased this phone system.. It makes me so glad that I have a listed number and equipment and an auto attendant and all kinds of other capabilities, to transfer calls and look and perform as if I am a Fortune 500 company. The service and equipment cost me less than $20 per month. This was the best decision I made ever..,. Now the only concern I have is the integration with my ZOHO CRM. It has been a little challenging to say the least but the tech support took good care of me when I realized I was not talented enough to do on my own..

    8x8 Team was super helpful, they had training for two levels and the instructor was very professional and helpful. I was able to set up all my users, lines, ring groups... but after one year they added $100 on top of my monthly payment price and no one seems to care. They kept my case open for two months then they closed it with no action!?! My sales rep told me, "You were on promotional price." If I'd known I was on promotional price I wouldn't have chosen the 8x8 at first place.

    We purchased 8x8's Contact Center 53 days ago. Our sales contact emailed me almost daily until I signed the sales order but once I signed it, I have never heard from him or anyone again. We've made numerous attempts to get ahold of someone from 8x8 to help us "deploy" Contact Center" without any luck. We've reached out to our sales rep Colby Chu numerous times and his delegated contact and receive zero responses. We've tried reaching out to 8x8 via their customer service line with no luck and even a few of their execs via LinkedIn and no response.

    We did however start receiving the bill for Contact Center services almost immediately after signing the sales order, just no service. Unfortunately we are now in the process of researching new VOIP services with a higher rated customer service and deployment. We wish this were not the case, but our experience just has been very bad and it almost seems like 8x8 has closed down their support and deployment departments.

    The system in concept is great, it was much most cost effective than our traditional phone lines and VERY flexible. The Polycom phone have amazing voice quality (haven't tried any other ones) You can have your office line on your laptop and cell phone so it travels where you do. Very handy when you have to be away from your desk and need to be reached. I continue to have audio cutting in and out at time and we have 500gb internet, so it's not that - it's an ongoing issue. I like the features so much I also got a line for my home. It is a good investment and cost effective.

    I have had a hard time with the 8x8 phones when they are double ringing. I believe it is due to having group call pick up and ring groups combined for our office girls to be able to pick up each others' calls.

    In May of 2021 we signed up for a free trial but cancelled the next day without even setting anything up. We read some horrible reviews and decided we did not want to use them. We thought we dodged a bullet until we saw they charged us for service. After three separate phone calls and talking with a manager (phone calls were days apart because they kept telling us they took care of the refund), we ended up having to post on social media and they finally refunded our money after several weeks. Here we are approaching a year later and we receive and email that they are renewing our service. Renewing our service?!?! I called them and it took almost an hour for them to tell me that it was an auto generated email.

    With the way this company operates, I don't believe them. You would be wise to stay away from this company. I'm confident that this isn't over and on the date that they said they would renew, I expect to see a charge from them. All the bad reviews unfortunately were true. I'm sure they will respond with some kind of apology. How they are still in business is a mystery.

    The support is so terrible, I've been going back and forth with them for 2 months now trying to speak to a supervisor because no one seems to understand the simple issue I'm trying to address. We added more licenses for our employees, later on we had some employees leave, and I want to reduce the count of licenses so we can save some money and they will not without charging $1,000 plus termination fees just for having less employees?     I am a customer that has 12 phones and 15 lines with 8x8. I pay for PREMIUM services as our business requires it. I can say 8x8 is TERRIBLE. I understand mistakes happen. But with 8x8 it's been NON-STOP issues after issue. Only 1 tech call I have made has been a "user error" or my fault... I have had 3 issues that had to be escalated to their tier 2 tech support (IE: The customer service guy could not fix the issue because it was DEEP in the system.) I have had to delete whole users because the system could not see the MAC address, or device connected. I have had to call and erase an entire user again because they could not access the text messaging system through the app. This could not be fixed and we had to WIPE and reinstall the user.

    NOW, I have paid for ALL calls to be recorded... ALL CALLS to be recorded and stored for up to a year. THIS IS A SERVICE WE PAY FOR! They didn't turn it on and they didn't tell me each individual user can turn this off. If we do not turn it on at each individual line. Why can't this be done from an admin line?? And why would I want employees to be able to turn off this feature!!!?? So I can't monitor customer relations?? STUPID. But of course, they did not cover ANY this AT ALL in training and set-up. So how could I know unless I'm some 8x8 user expert? TERRIBLE PHONE SERVICE!!! DO NOT USE 8x8!

    The system overall seems to to work well and the support was okay during the initial set-up of the system, But once you are set up and are no longer working with the sales team the customer service is horrible. If it would not be so much work to switch to a different company I would probably switch just based on the customer service.

    I have tried the chat support several items and end up waiting to hear back for someone and finally after about 20 min. it just says no one is available. I have tried calling customer support several time and wait on hold for 30+ minutes and no one answers. They have support ticket options and sometimes that works a little better. They usually respond within a couple of days depending on the issue, and if you happen to be able to answer when they call and most of the help staff I have talked to from the support tickets are hard to understand with broken English and bad connections.

    That being said I have a couple of support tickets that have been open for several weeks and I still have not heard from anyone on those. It's kind of hit or miss on getting in touch with anyone. The system has work pretty good for us but it is super frustrating when you are having an issue and cannot get in contact with anyone to fix it or have to wait days to get a response. I complain and they apologize and say it will not happen again, but it is the same every time.

    8x8 customer support is severely lacking in the time it takes to get someone on the phone or in chat. Communication is an integral part of any business and if you want to boast as a company that you have 2 million plus businesses using your product then you should support those businesses. In 3 days I have dealt with 6 reps in total for what I thought was a simple billing issue. I got a new credit card for my business and failed to update my profile before the next pay cycle. My account was suspended due to nonpayment. At first glance, this isn't a problem. I was thinking I'll just go online and pay my bill as well as update my payment profile to avoid future issues. Not so fast! I was able to update my bill, but the option to pay said bill wasn't there.

    I chatted in and after waiting 20 mins for an agent, the agent gave me a number to their billing team as the agent was unable to help me with my matter. I called the number and waited 30 mins to speak with someone. This agent said that it was a tier 2 issue and they would have to transfer me. I said that I am going on an hour now and I am just trying to pay my bill to get my account restored. Also, an important fact - I was only a month behind. The December bill never got paid because they charged for it in January after the card on file had expired. My account was only suspended not canceled or terminated so in theory it should of been a quick fix.

    WRONG - after waiting for tier 2 they were able to process my payment and restore my account. I thought everything was good to go as it appeared everything was up and running. About 15 mins later, my account gets suspended again. I call the number they gave me again. This time I wait about 25 mins to get someone on the line. I explain the situation and ask if they can immediately connect me to tier 2 because tier 1 wasn't able to resolve my issue last time. The agent gets me over to tier 2 and they are able to turn my account back on. This call took roughly an hour. Everything seems like it's working and were good for about an hour.

    We magically get disconnected and logged out of our user accounts and then when we sign in it says "this user is suspended". Furthermore, when we go to make outbound calls we get a recording on the line saying "your account is suspended. To resume service please make a payment of zero dollars." At this point it is near the end of the day and I put it off until the next day to fix because of thinking it's an issue they are resolving on their side since it keeps happening.

    WRONG AGAIN - The next morning (today 1/22/22) I try to log into my account "this user is suspended." I pick up the phone and still get the recording. I immediately call in but no one picks up the phone for 45 mins. I go to chat in and after 25 mins I get someone on the chat. He says he can't help me and the billing dept is closed on weekends. He said he will reach out to level 2 support and see if someone can help. This chat started at 9:22am EST and it is now 11:04am EST. The issue is not resolved but it is "being worked on". The agent on chat wanted to move on and said someone from level 2 will reach out to me via phone once it's completed.

    This is the type of service you as a consumer or business leader can look forward to. The company is too big for its own good. It simply lacks the infrastructure to support the many businesses it provides a service to. The leadership team seems to be non-existent. They have no problem collecting their monies, but have a huge problem delivering on the very reason you've hired them for.

    Wanted to try out their services for a month, was thinking I'd probably keep, because needed minimal services. I initiated a port of one of my numbers, and then they stated it would take a week to complete. So I canceled everything. I then tried to port to another company and it was taking a while. After a week, I got an email from 8x8 that the port had completed to the closed account. I spent 2.5 hours with 6 different reps trying to resolve this, and in the end the said they've reopened the account, but the # is still not in that account and usable. I've been working with small businesses like my own for 25 years and their dashboard is downright archaic.. and convoluted. It's like there was absolutely no thought given to time and ease of use to the end of user.

    I have to have my bosses force log me out of salesforce, I click call and it says it's calling but it doesn't, you click answer and nothing happens so you click it again and again until it answers and then it hangs up on clients.     I could not have had a worse experience with a company than I have with 8x8. I had a meeting with a guy about using this phone service, and when I finally went to make the purchase, they told me that the guy who I was working with quit. The new guy had a totally bad attitude, and told me everything that the previous guy said was wrong, and that my entire quote was invalid. He was un-helpful! His name was Shelby, and was absolutely terrible. Then, I tried to schedule another meeting (with John **). 5 minutes before the meeting, I got a reminder that our meeting was scheduling. Then, no one showed up. Here I am...15 minutes later, and no one showed up.

    The more I looked into this company, I noticed that others have said the same thing. I would be very wary about this company, as they are really shady. Shelby even bad-mouthed the guy who left, saying that he was just trying to make the sale and was telling me things that were not true. I guess this is how this company behaves. I am so disappointed, because I was really excited about their prices and international calling. There are MANY other VOIP services out there...so, I guess I will look towards them. This was the biggest waste of time ever.

    Back in September I contacted 8x8 to get a quote for their service. I had an agent that was working with me and after going through the motions I told them I needed to talk it over with my partners and we decided we were going to hold off. Not only do I have verbal acknowledgment that I said that we were not going to follow through but I also have numerous emails stating that we were not taking the service at this time and her reply was to get back with her if we changed our minds or when we decided we wanted to go forward with it, then after a while I started receiving bill after Bill after Bill which I repeatedly tried to contact someone. I never was able to get a hold of anyone by phone and no one ever replied to any of my emails.

    Then they started attacking my checking account every time I turned around trying to take the money out for a service that I do not have, do not use no way shape or form. Then they started telling me that they were going to charge me a cancellation fee of $900. And this morning I received another threatening email telling me that they were turning me over to the credit bureau as non-payment and that they would do whatever they had to do to get their money again. I do not have their service. I do not use their service but with a company that has terrible customer service and very little communication I feel as if they are scammers. I would not recommend this company to anyone especially a company just starting out.

    When Covid started and I needed more service, 8x8 changed their platform. You had to "create a case" for everything. I never had anything resolved, just auto emails saying they received the case. Over two weeks ago, my phone system went down, and I have since created 4 cases and it has yet to be resolved. My office is unable to receive incoming calls, although we can call out. In the cases I left my cell number asking them to call me. After 10 days I received an email saying they called my office and left a voice mail. On a phone system that I am unable to use! Then after 15 days they called my cell phone from an unknown number and left a voicemail asking for me to call them. It is really hard to run a business with a phone system that doesn't work and has no customer support. Several issues in the past but this is the worst!

    Signed up for service and features are nice, but not really necessary for our small organization. For 10 phones it’s around $300/month, which is expensive for a nonprofit, but reasonable against other VOIP carriers. Support and Customer Service are lacking the most. You can never reach anyone live, or wait days for a response. You have to put in support tickets online and message back and forth with usually little resolution. Billing help is a joke - been waiting over a month for a refund when I spent months arguing that we’d been double billed, and still no refund or response from 8x8. Steer clear if you expect a VOIP service that has cheaper phone options because you’ll pay when you need assistance most.

I was blown away by all the features I was getting at such a reasonable price. The best part is they are always improving. They are constantly sending me virtual invites to attend in order to learn more about current services as well as anything new that could help my business.     Workforce Control Solutions chose 8x8 Work because of its reviews, however our experience with it has been better than what we read about it in the first place. The people in the company have all been professionals that know the job in the department they work in. They're quick to get us what we need or provide information on how we can achieve what we need with the software.

    The software is VERY easy and intuitive to find your way around in it. Developing the phone tree was the toughest thing we had to accomplish - a quick 20 minute call with an agent resolved that. He was able to get it set up just right the second time through and gave us suggestions on how to make it better and he was right. It turned out to be a great training experience for us as we can administrate everything we want to do on our own now.

    The services we provide demand a solid line that doesn't drop or sound like it's underwater. If you have a fast enough connection at your place of business, these phones not only have every feature of very expensive corporate systems, but they deliver crisp, clear communications over long periods of time with many people conferenced in. The equipment is first class quality for a very affordable price.

    We use a lot of the features. The product keeps being developed and becoming even more valuable. The value delivered is well worth it. We are a small business that operates like a big business. Direct lines. Personal extensions. Transfer to someone else's extension on the other side of the country. The software is well documented and intuitive as well. All in all, we wouldn't trade our system for another. Why would we? 8x8 Work let's you take it with you without the customer even knowing you've switched over to mobile. And back again. 8x8 is SOLID AS A ROCK for WCS!

    I was a long term client, I reached out to technical support during Covid to get assistance in changing my office hours for our phone system. No live support at all until. I tried the videos and no help. I finally made the decision to change carriers. Then I was allowed to speak to a person, but only because I was cancelling. I was told that there was an early termination fee even though I was a client for 5 plus years. The fee was equal to the remaining term. I fought this to no avail. I finally reached someone whom I believed was listening and they told me that they would handle the 30 day mandatory notification of cancellation to prevent the contract going into an automatic additional year contract. This huge detail was never disclosed by the sales person.

    Thus far I'm over $3300 into new phone system and cancellation fees and the 30 day notice which I have documentation stating would be handled has been missed and they are telling me I have to stay an additional 12 months. This is more of a cancellation fee model of a business than a phone service and is certainly not a customer service business.

    Actually I liked the person that I talked with at first. I placed an order with this company for our office. Next day attended their "webinar", to find out it was a fake re-play of a video with a call center rep put in some questions from "customers" and type in answers. Then I came across a customer who cancelled the service for performance issues, but faced a very difficult time to get the "company" honor their promises. Next day (within 24 hours of ordering the service) I contacted RC, the man who sold the plan. He said he would send in a cancellation request.

    And here begins the drama. They want you to give them a "security passphrase". And you're supposed to receive this in an email from their "technical department". You never get an email from this. The idea is to drag your request and finally get the deadline of 30 days crossed. And charge your card. Anyways, we cancelled it- after a LOOONG effort. Stay away. I wish them well, and would stay away... Now you make your own decision.

    As a UK agent working with 8x8 over the last 5 years has been a great experience in both supporting me as a person and also enhancing my business profile. At no time do we feel undervalued and in fact, quite the opposite, where they reach out regularly to ensure we have the right tools to do our job, regardless of whether they win the business or not. This extends to the customer as well, and let’s not forget, these are the ones it matters to. Ok, so some customers are more demanding than others and we can’t win them all but, 8x8 do their best to make the decision for the customer to chose another provider or solution very difficult.     Our company has been using 8x8 for several years. It was a replacement for AT&T system that only had physical phones. We liked it from the beginning but only during the COVID pandemic we realized how good it is. It is our daily communication tool between company staff since we started to work remotely. We use "Meet Now" to share screens and discuss projects many times during a typical workday. We schedule meetings with our clients using Outlook plugin. We installed the mobile apps on our cellphones so we can place and answer calls while away from our desks (in the office and home offices). Overall, it has been a great investment in productivity.

    We have been with 8x8 for over a year now, the service is stable as the best from any other. Quality of calls are superb. Issue is on the transition and setup, if you come from another vendor, prepare a good transition with at least 2 months. Price wise is ok, not the cheapest, but the quality of calls are like it.

    We've been using 8x8 for nearly 3 years. This service has provided us with the ability to use our phones for business without giving our personal information. I like knowing when a business call, text or fax are coming in. I really like the virtual desktop so I can easily use my computer as well as my phone to facilitate business. Over the years they have continued to improve the functions but thus far, I am mostly satisfied (there is always something I'd like to adjust). But I have no plans to change and have referred 8x8 to others too.

    I recommend for any business. It's a great alternative to regular landline service. All the features and video conferencing is wonderful. Support and customer service could be better. Every time I have had to call or need support I need to go through the first level technician who knows next to nothing and it takes forever to someone to call or get an escalation. No one takes ownership of a support ticket and follow-ups are snail speed. It truly is a shame because the service is actually quite good but the support not so much.

    We have been using the service for 15 years and through their desktop and mobile apps they have kept us connected with our clients in the field and in the office with a reliable service. The pros are that there is a mobile app to use, the only con is that the set up can be a little cumbersome.

    8x8 offers many features and at a pretty low fee per line/per month. We have been using the system for about 6 years and have nothing bad to say about it. The setup was great and support covered the bases when switching from a copper-based telephone system. During the pandemic it was easy to move the staff to either: taking their phone home with them, using the 8x8 softphone, or the 8x8 app for cell phones. Regardless they all worked great to keep us connected and working in a proficient manner. You don't need to buy the equipment from them and the support staff still assisted us with the completion of getting our phones attached to their system!

    Overall I think 8x8 is a fantastic system. It is not a giant but for a little guy, they really give you the vibe and support of a much larger company. Just to start with some of the pros for me. Pricing is a big thing and you really get your bang for the buck with 8x8. Installation and roll out was pretty easy for us. We employ over 100 employees and I was able to handle it with ease.

    Support is also great. As a newbie at the time I had a lot of questions on how to do stuff and their Support Team was amazing. Sometimes they would spend an hour with me teaching me how to add queues or create an IVR. I also love that I have full autonomy over my call center and everything that goes into it. With our previous servicer, even adding a close message for a holiday was such a hassle since I couldn't do it myself.

    My cons are much shorter and something I can still work around. One of them is reporting. Although reporting is better than what I previously had, I still wish I had more autonomy and options for reporting. They have a dashboard which is also very subpar and not easy to use. My last complaint would be the need for two systems in order to use the Call Center System. Unfortunately you need to also use Virtual Office in order to use Virtual Contact Center. Almost like having two phone systems. Those are really my only issues with 8x8 after a year and a half. Overall I still recommend and the pricing is much better for what you get.

    8x8 is less than half the cost of our previous provider. However, support is difficult to get in touch with. Phone rental is weird to me. Most of my at home team suffers from not being able to answer calls when ringing to them via the 8x8 app, and are constantly having to restart their phones. Still not 100% sure this even solves the issue. Mailbox limit is subpar - we are a very active company and the limit on voicemails drives me insane. Overall, it is a user friendly interface phone solution, that is cheap. I would probably recommend but with the heads up of the issues I've mentioned.

    We implemented 8x8 for the school a couple of years ago. The migration was all in-house, as they don't really have professional services to help us. It was a little difficult since they didn't have a proactive implementation model, only reactive support. So we missed a lot of things and didn't understand some things. However, fast forward today... and we have a great system up and running and working as intended. Which during the pandemic all the apps and softphone features really helped us out a lot. The product, if the network is configured well, really works well with minor outages over the past two years. I would recommend them for smaller offices, not over 100 people.

    We needed a reasonable and easy to set up PBX to replace a traditional site-based PBX. But we didn’t want to go down the route of looking at Cisco or anything like that. So, we tried 8x8 out. And we found the installation was very easy and straightforward. And the partner who was selling 8x8 were actually very good, and held our hand through the whole installation, and helped us [unclear 0:00:54] our telephone numbers, and get the setup operational within a very short period of time. It probably took around about two or three days to get the whole system migrated from a traditional site-based PBX to a cloud-based PBX. And now three years we’ve been with 8x8, the application has just got better and better over time. I liked that they thought about the end-user, and also the mobile app. The product is very good at the price point where it stands in the market. And overall, I would say it’s a very good product and worth the money.

    I have been using 8x8 services for several of my clients for over 6 years now. Over that time the feature set has constantly improved while the support has consistently gotten worse. I like the product and the features. The pricing is not bad, but you need to be careful of their "fees" that they always try to sneak in. I would recommend them, except for their support. They have implemented a new tiered support model and you must pay for the good support. The general support is nothing more than inexperienced technicians (if you can call them that) who read off a script. It takes forever to get an issue escalated and call backs are glacial in speed. Overall their support has grown to be horrendous and that is my big issue with 8x8.

    AT ALL COSTS DO NOT USE 8X8. Used 8x8 for 4 years and when the pandemic hit we needed to downsize. Many other service providers were understanding but 8x8 stuck to their early termination fees and offered to cut off our service and sue us if we did not pay them. About a year ago they outsourced their support to India and now service issues involve days of wading through the language barrier only to have the problem recur after 6-7 weeks. The payment for 25 users is up over $1800 with no explanation why, and the contract auto renews so if you do not tell them to pound sand within 30 days you're on the hook for another year. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR: Terminate their contract before you start it!

    Updated on 10/14/2021: 8x8 put a flimsy band-aid on to improve this but have actually made things worse. My sales agent insisted if I would move to this new plan it would fix all my issues. After asking three times for the differences between my current plan functionality and the new one he finally answered that the difference was the international calling plan. So I agreed.

    But this was not the case... I cannot get a call back during our business hours except for the one time that I posted in our system that I would be out of the office...every other call is a couple of hours after we are closed. And yes, I put our hours in the support ticket. OH and doing this extended my contract so I am stuck for a couple of extra months now.

    I am missing functionality now AND they are charging for both accounts. Can't get a call back to rectify any of these issues. Looks like I will have to spend the night at work in the hope they will call to get some help...and then move away from 8x8 ASAP. They WERE a great company up until around 2019. Any reviews you read be sure to check the date.

    Original Review: I have been an 8x8 business customer for many years. I recommended them to other companies and even my church without asking for the free month they offered for recommendations. We could not have been happier until about 2 years ago. The past 2 years have seen a steady decline. Whomever has taken over the reins sees no issue with having dishonest sales folks and customer service folks that will pass you around for 2 or 3 days and ignore your business hours to call back when you are not in the office. My service issues happen at least every other month and typically during our busiest time...the end of the month.

    On my latest case though is a contract issue. I was told by the Sales Rep he would look into the issue and call back 3 different times. I then have to chase him down and start all over with the details so he obviously wrote me off as soon as we hung up the phone. They will not keep the promises they make to you when you sign your contract and they will auto-renew your contract with no warning at all. I spoke with a lawyer and since they have not honored their agreement, I can get out of the contract but I do not look forward to this additional hullabaloo on top of switching services. Spare yourself this misery. Pick another company.

    It is impossible to get in touch with someone at 8x8. If you call customer service IVR will tell you to go to the support page and talk to OTTO. OTTO will give you some stupid articles which are not relevant to your issue, No matter what you type in that chatbox your chances to connect to a live agent is bleak. After waiting 45 to 60 mins it says "I'm sorry, looks like there are no agents available at the moment. Please try contacting us later, or click here to create a ticket and someone will get back to you soon." I have open chat several time but facing same issue. Worst Services Ever.     I have been an 8x8 business customer for many years, paying for about a dozen phone lines with my business year after year. For most of those years, they were great. This past year, the company seems to be under new management that filled its ranks with incompetent and dishonest people. I am bounced from one incompetent person to the next; promises of return calls by some superior or other competent person go undelivered; when I tried to revise or cancel my service, I was told I missed the 30-day window a few weeks ago and that my contract auto-renewed for another year, with no changes or cancellations allowed for another 12 months.

    (Who does that? Other VOIP providers have no contracts, and you can cancel anytime. At the very least, one would think you could cancel or drop a line after the first 12 months. Nope.) If you want to be locked into a contract with auto renew that you cannot revise or cancel except for a 30-day window each year, 8x8 is your company! This month, 8x8 charged my credit card hundreds of dollars without my authorization, which I am now spending my morning dealing with. I will permanently drop 8x8 (as soon as my 30-day window rolls around again). Beware. Many other VOIP services are out there. Look elsewhere.

    First I want to say be very clear you are on a contract. The part they leave out of telling you until you want to close your account. February 2021 I called to inform them that I closed my business. My sister too ill and I would be taking care of her. The gentleman insisted since I had another business I could transfer the service or either way the contract automatically ends in June. However in March my sister passed away. In April I caught Covid. In May I was in an accident plus planning and packing to move because my landlord wanted an increase in rent. What. I couldn’t afford. All of these events led me to severe depression causing me not to follow up on taking care anything personal or business related.

    I notice the first week of July my account was drafted yet another fee. I emailed the person who opened my account last week. Didn’t hear anything back so I called 8x8 today and Jennifer in the cancellation department informed me that they had automatically renewed my account July 19 instead of automatically canceling my services the end of June 2021. Not to mention what I went through to even getting my service working properly in the beginning. 8x8 services are misleading and now they want to hit my account for twelve consecutive payments for closing it. I will be disputing with my bank because I didn’t authorize this transaction and definitely wasn’t even aware I was on a contract from the start. Please asked the necessary questions and read the small print because their services are misleading and no concerns for the consumers.

    8x8 does not care about taking care of their customers. After several years of bad service (our fault for staying longer than we should have) we decided to get our deskphones working again. Spent about 4 weeks trying to get them set up and spending hours on the phone with customer service, we were not able to get them set up. We then decided to go to another company with much better reviews.

    After we got set up with the new company, we tried to cancel and just getting acknowledged took a couple of weeks. Then, since we had been with them for several years and not even using the lines, we thought we were on a month to month, but they said our contract had just renewed. We asked nicely to let us off the contract since we do not use their lines and the service has been horrible, we do not have phones, and have been paying them for years already, but they took 40 days to finally say "NO".
