Blocked funds, missing money, buggy site. And on escalation, a very slow to respond help centre.. Funds raised, literally disappeared from the screen, into the ether - I don't know whose pockets they're lining - but it's certainly not available to the charity foundation (for the evacuation of Ukrainian refugees) that they were intended for. The level of incompetence here, is borderline criminal. AVOID.

Great aunt of deceased niece set up account to help the family. She then refused to turn over money so GoFundMe was contacted. They never answered the numerous complaints after adding on 15% fee. I will never donate under their site again!

I donated to a cause in Feb. of 2022. My private personal visa info was leaked out by them. In a month I had 4 fraudulent charges on my card. Go fund me was nothing but a Visa fraud nightmare. I had to close my accounts and start new ones. The bank teller told me that I was the 5th one this week that had the same treatment. They are not trustworthy at all.

They will steal any money that they feel is going to the wrong people. Stay away from them. Do not trust them at all. CrowdFundMe is much safer. Do not do are through this site as they are crooked to the core.

My personal experience (I have used many times in the last) with Gofundme is so low that I will never use them again. I’d rather send a personal check to whatever the charity or cause may be. They have shut down, reallocated funds or frozen some of the charities I wanted to support over “woke” views and propaganda instead of real evidence of any illegal or wrongdoing. Opinions should not reflect action in a free society. I will use unbiased crowdfunding sites instead. Be wary of any site taking your money who feels they have the right to change the course of action on money you donated for something specific!

The money I donated wasn't given to the charity I donated to. They have seized the money and should be taken to court. Criminals, these people don't deserve any business. Hope they either change their mind and be fair or lose in court and pay for damages.

I attempted to donate money to a worthy cause along with millions of others and GoFundMe redirected 90% of our donations to groups of their choosing. I'm sure that deep in their terms of service this is somehow legal but it's about the most unethical thing I've seen a business do. This is essentially a criminal organization and should NOT be used by anybody who expects their money to get to the intended recipient.

Completely unprofessional and untrustworthy. I would stay away from them, if you waiting for donations through GoFundMe I cannot help you!! This fund is a massive scam. Do not trust them with any of your hard earn money!!!!

They will take your money and use it as they see fit. This should be illegal and I hope someone takes them to court. How can you collect money for a cause and then use it for something else? I will never use their service again or recommended it to anyone.

I donated funds to support a cause that I am passionate about however, Go Fund Me decided a few weeks after I donated, that they could not support the cause. I highly doubt that they have legitimate ways and means to come to this conclusion without any evidence. I was informed that they were giving me my money back rather than giving it to my cause. This was my first time using them and I will never use them again.

They took my donation and then decided they were going to give the money to some other cause. This is theft! At this point you cannot know for sure where your money is going. They are not to be trusted. Expect them to just take your money. It is a scam!

We donated to a good cause and because of the government overreach, Gofundme stopped the release of the funds and was going to donate the funds elsewhere, if that is not a crime I don't know what is. This company doesn't even have a real address only a PO Box, SCAM SCAM SCAM. Please use another platform DO NOT USE GOFUNDME!!!!

I made two separate donations to the same campaign I wanted to support on Go Fund Me. Go Fund Me decided to confiscate that campaign's money. They stole my donations. When I demanded a return of my money only a partial return was done. No one has responded to my inquiry about why the full amount was not returned.

My donation was not sent to the appropriate charity. On the advice of a political oppressor, the funds were taken and used inappropriately, and the goods purchased for the hard-working men and women of Canada were seized. Will never trust this site again!

They use use their own discretion on how and to whom funds will be distributed. They are now under investigation for prejudices and mishandling funds. NOT TO BE TRUSTED.! Find a different forum for fundraising!

GoFundMe allowed themselves to be pressured to steal the truckers money. I donated knowing that it was going to be in excess of the truckers needs. I CHOSE to donate anyway. I will never use this platform again and will try to find a Crypto version!!!

I donated money as part of a group donation to an organization I strongly support. I did not know that Go Fund Me can decide, after receiving money, that they are not going to give the money to the organization it was raised for. Go Fund Me is not to be trusted. There is no way to know if your money will reach the person or organization that you are trying to donate to. My money certainly didn't and the person who sent in the group donation is having a very hard time getting our money back.

Go Fund Me decided on their own to not allow money that people had pledged to go to the truckers in Canada. What gave them the right to do this? The reason they gave was that they only support nonviolent protests. The truckers' protest was not violent in any way. They just wanted to protest the mandate to get the vaccine being forced on them. Even though the majority of the truckers were vaccinated already. Maybe if the truckers had burned or looted as many protests over the past few years had done, then Go Fund Me would have given them money.

GFM has not forwarded my donation to the intended recipient and wanted to first send the money to some other charities of THEIR choice (which is theft). They decided to refund only after immense pressure. Still no word if they would keep the 15% “tip” that they asked from me on top of my donation. Clearly, they collect donations for specific reasons and then they are using their own judgment (no transparency) to decide if they actually provide the funds as they were directed.

I will NEVER donate through GoFundMe, again! I will use GIVE SEND GO. I want MY donation to go to the cause I am donating to and GoFundMe has decided we can only donate to causes they believe in! BIG MISTAKE!

I donated to a cause and provided a tip in good faith. This company then decided they did not like said cause (made up false statement that it violated their terms of agreement) and stated they would route the raised funds to another charity of their choice. Sorry GFM, you don't get to decide how to use other people's money they donated just because you don't like it. Will NEVER use your business again.

After I donate money and a lot of money was raised, they choose to freeze the money and play political games with it, never again one more dollar for Go Fund Me, I will find other ways to support what I want to support.

Be careful to whom you give your money. It may not end up going toward the cause you think it is. GFM has become a platform drowning in bureaucracy and politics. If THEY deem your cause unfit, they will hold your money and threaten to donate to charities of THEIR choice. That's theft. Be careful, please.

This site is not giving the fund donated based on their how will. The donator are just being rip off their money as the cause they support is not able to get the donation. This is theft. Do not use this app. It is not going to help who you hope to help. Better find an alternative solution so the money actually make it to your cause.

Donated to a fundraiser that grew to over 10 million dollars…. Go Fund Me held funds and over a week later not releasing the donations to the fundraiser, instead given them back where they came from. Did they invest that money while they had it for over a week? This company has to be investigated.

Don’t trust this organization. They took my donation and decided to send it to a different charity. I am concerned there is strict control where they pick and choose who they give money to, what causes they support. I had asked for a refund and still didn’t get my money back. I feel like I will have to file a complaint with my credit card company. I feel like I have been defrauded. Don’t send money to this organization.

GoFundMe has no right to pick and choose what organizations they believe they should and should not support. 10 million was raised and GOFUndMe froze an account for people who are having a peaceful protest. GoFundMe supported the mass riots causing billions of damage in the United States…..even supporting funds for bail money for those arrested. This should not be a political business. And they take out too large of a percent! Donate through a different site that isn’t political and doesn’t keep so much of your money!

They cancelled a fund and instead of returning the money they said it would be donated elsewhere. Um no, I will choose where my money goes. Only after public pressure they changed it to an automatic return. Shameful.

I recently donated to a cause that GoFundMe feels they have the right to delete and choose what individuals beliefs should be. After deleting this massive go fund me they said you had to request your money back and if you didn’t they would choose where they would distribute the money. Now after MANY complaints they are doing automatic refunds but still 7-10 days they are holding up money that was donated and needs to be given to the fund. I’m disgusted that they think they have the right to just delete a page that’s helping a LARGE group of people. Then hold up people’s money. Go fund me is a platform and should be un bias!

Please do not use this company. 15% is quite a bit to charge for your donation to a good cause. Plus if they don't agree with what you're donating to they will try and keep the money. So please Beware, not honest company at all.
