Omega Auto Care cost

Although costs vary, expect to pay roughly $2 a day for one of Omega Auto Care’s extended warranties. Exact prices depend on your coverage and the make, model, year and mileage of your car.

The best way to get an accurate price is to request a quote. Unfortunately, there is no online quote process from Omega Auto Care. However, you can call and speak to a representative to receive more information on pricing.

Like most extended auto warranty companies, Omega Auto Care offers a 30-day money-back guarantee in case you change your mind. Omega Auto Care down payments can be as low as $50. Down payments for extended auto warranties from other companies are often $100 or more.

Omega Auto Care coverage

Omega Auto Care covers cars up to 15 years old with up to 250,000 miles. This is on the higher end of the market in terms of both mileage and age.

Most Omega Auto Care warranties cover a car for five years, but there are also plans that don’t last quite that long. Omega Auto Care has a typical waiting period of 30 days and 1,000 miles before coverage kicks in. Repairs can be made at any licensed repair facility. To file a claim, just call Omega Auto Care’s claim department.

All Omega Auto Care warranties come with roadside assistance, trip interruption insurance and rental car reimbursement.

  • Roadside assistance includes vehicle fluid delivery, towing, lockout services, flat tire changes and jump-starts.
  • Rental car reimbursement values vary by plan, but the most common is $30 per day for up to five days.
  • Trip interruption reimbursements are $75 per day for up to three days. You must be 100 miles or more from home to qualify for this, though.

Omega Auto Care’s Road Hazard Coverage also pays up to $400 to cover repairs on your tires (limit $100 per tire).

I've been a customer of Omega Auto Care for a while, specifically using their service for my car maintenance. Back in December, I had an experience where my car's air conditioner needed to be replaced. The whole process took about ten days. Thankfully, the dealership loaned me a car during this time, which was essential as I rely on my vehicle daily. The delay was partly due to the time taken to diagnose the problem, get the necessary parts, and obtain approval from an inspector before proceeding with the repair.

While Omega made good on their promise to cover the repairs as per the basic warranty, I would've appreciated a quicker follow-up from them considering the duration of the repair. Despite this, the process went smoothly once initiated, and the policy they offer covers what you'd expect from a standard warranty. I do think auto dealers like Cadillac could improve in terms of post-warranty renewal communications, which I faced as an issue before opting for Omega's extended coverage.

I value what Omega Auto Care offers and would likely recommend them, particularly for those keeping their vehicles beyond the typical warranty period. Even without any direct contact from Omega during the repair, everything on their end seemed to be handled appropriately through the dealership. However, my experience might have been different without the loaner car provided by the dealership, a courtesy that I believe wasn’t part of Omega's service but rather the dealership's own policy.

Overall, I've been satisfied with the coverage and the cost was reasonable compared to what I expected for extended warranties. I will continue using Omega, appreciating both the coverage and peace of mind it provides for my vehicle.

I have a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek covered with Omega Auto Care, and my experience with them has been fabulous. I had a claim for my car’s bearings, and the process was incredibly smooth. I just went online to schedule an appointment, took my car in, and my mechanic handled everything. He called Omega and they put me on threeway so that I can hear what they were saying. My mechanic didn't have any issues with speaking to Omega and getting the claim done. Even when there was a minor issue with the deductible, it was quickly resolved.

My car was in the shop for about three days. The mechanic ordered a part on Saturday, received it by Tuesday, and installed it promptly. I’m extremely satisfied with Omega Auto Care and have no plans to change my warranty provider. I’ve heard plenty of stories about others facing issues, but my experience has been the complete opposite. They've done great by me. They were transparent about what they would cover and what my share of the bill would be, and it all seemed very reasonable.

Additionally, every time my mechanic called Omega, he was able to speak directly with someone without long hold times or disconnections. I highly recommend Omega.

My warranty was about to expire and I heard about Omega through someone over the phone. I researched and called back and decided to move forward that way. I needed to get something replaced and I saved some money by using them. So, that was nice. The repair was super quick. I went into the dealership and told them my car was doing this funny thing. They looked at it and said they could buy the product for me. By the time I came back, they had the product and had the car fixed, and had already gotten what they needed from Omega.

I like knowing that if anything serious goes wrong, I'm not gonna be dipping way into my savings. I know I can afford anything that happens. Also, when I mentioned that I have Omega, the dealership said that it’s a good one. This is probably the most reputable one because you hear the extended warranty and you hear the jokes online, but this one's real and has helped me. So, when I tell people, I just say that if they need or want one, this is what they should go through.

I had a very frustrating time with the broker who sold the policy. When I called, I told them that I would like to get a comparative bumper-to-bumper policy and they threw me with a stated coverage. The entire time I thought I was getting a bumper-to-bumper coverage and when there were issues that happened with the car, they didn't cover one thing. I went back and forth with the broker. Then, there was an issue with a payment. The payment was submitted and there was an issue with reinstating. Omega was telling me I need to wait another waiting period. I spoke to their compliance officer, because the broker told me there would be no lapse of coverage and the compliance officer at Omega confirmed that. From there, there hasn't been any issues.

But the issue that I have is their labor rates. They're nowhere close and it pushes me to go to their little circle that are signed up with them. Nobody, at least, here in South Florida is anywhere close to 140 an hour. Also, certain things are not pro-consumer. I just had an alternator put in and a brand-new alternator would have been $400. An aftermarket would have been less than that. They were only affording a price saying that they would get the part. But my frustration is with the broker. I was misled to believe that I was getting a certain policy and I did not receive it. But when I did speak with Omega and I spoke to their compliance officer, she said that she was gonna review the recordings and if they told me that there would be no lapse in coverage, then there'd be no lapse in coverage. Everything got worked out and when I brought the car in, they covered everything and they've been covering everything since.

The tranny went out and Omega Auto Care put a junkyard transmission in it, which will not last. They wanna replace them with junkyard parts. That's what they do instead of putting new parts in. It doesn't make sense because they know they would pay for that transmission again within a few thousand miles if they pull them out of a junkyard, 9 times out of 10. And this thing, I just got it, and I'm gonna take it in, find out why, but it wants to take a while to shift into fourth to fifth gear and I have 4,000 miles on that tranny that they wanted a junkyard put in.

They had to find one first because they want to deal with a junkyard instead of an auto parts store, and there was a holdup on something that they had to get it cleared, and there was a holdup on something else. Also, there was a dealership that held me up more than the auto part. It took them two weeks after they got the part and put it in. But at least they paid for the tranny.

As a repair facility we give Omega our lowest possible review. Being in the repair industry for 45+ years I think I have the experience to give a true review on this company's attitude towards the auto repair business. In my opinion the warranty you pay sometimes for over $3500 usually added to your car loan should be there to help you when your car or truck needs repair. Instead they through the fine print on your contract due not cover the repair or if the repair it’s covered by contract they want to source inferior parts and control labor costs to the point the repair facility does not meet their profit margins that are required to meet their overhead costs and make a fair profit.

This causes the repair facility to either increase their labor rates and parts mark up on other jobs to cover/make up their losses on aftermarket warranties to stay in business. Much like the effect medical insurance has had on health care costs. Adding more people getting paid in the process of repairing cars or medical procedures just increases the cost of the services resulting in more average out of pocket expense.

I would give this company 0 stars if I could! I received a call on my cell phone 3/25 @ 9:37 am to sell me a warranty for my 2013 vehicle that has less than 100k miles. When I tried to told the representative that I was not interested he continued to talk about the warranty coverage. I tried to tell him I was at work and to add me to the no call list, he still proceeded to speak about the warranty. I requested his name, he refused. I then asked to speak to his supervisor, he still refused. The representative was rude, condescending, and distasteful when he began to make smart remarks. Prior to him hanging up on me, he stated for me to "continue to drive my 2013 vehicle" and to "get out of here". I would NEVER do business with a company that employs representatives like this, if this is how they speak to potential customers.

My claim with Omega for my 2018 Honda Accord was challenging. I had the worst experience ever. My car was shutting off randomly while driving, which was a major safety concern, especially with children on board. I took it to the dealer in December and the diagnosis process was incredibly frustrating.

Initially, the dealer couldn't locate my car. Once they did, they identified a potential head gasket issue and communicated this to Omega, who required further tear downs and diagnostics. This extended the repair duration unnecessarily, with inspectors delayed by the holiday season. The car was with the dealer from December 6th until after New Year's without resolution.

Communication between Omega and the dealership was poor, with each blaming the other for approvals and delays. The dealer informed me that I needed new injectors, but Omega did not approve this initially. After weeks of stagnation, I had to move my car to another dealership and undergo the whole process again for the injectors to be approved.

I had to rent a car during this time, costing about $800, of which Omega only reimbursed for five days, money I still haven't received. Overall, it was a stressful, drawn-out process with little support from Omega, leaving me extremely dissatisfied.

I was referred to Omega Auto Care by my credit union, Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union in San Antonio, Texas. Signing up with Omega was straightforward, with friendly representatives who asked detailed questions to ensure accuracy.

I had a claim for a transmission assembly. While the process was somewhat slow because of communication delays with the dealership, Omega was diligent in staying in touch. The delay was partly due to the transmission being back-ordered and dealing with GM's known issues for that model. Ultimately, Omega sourced a comparable transmission, and the vehicle ran perfectly after repairs. I no longer own the vehicle, but it performed well post-repair.

I would rate my satisfaction with Omega as average. They met their responsibilities despite some delays. I referred my daughter to Omega, but she had a difficult experience with her dealership, which was less cooperative than mine.

Overall, Omega Auto Care did what they were supposed to do for me. They were professional. As long as you provide them with the necessary information promptly, the process should be smoother.
