They are always quick and helpful! Highly recommended. They always make sure to check my oil filter and make sure it is clean as well as air intake. They are always helpful to ensure that you get the right price for your money.

I have had the greatest experience with having my machine handled by them. The Lexus 570 came back to great shape after them having it checked and maintained. They have the best services when it comes to engine check, repair and cleaning. They replaced all my mirrors and gave me a new door open light that shows lexus 570 when opened on the ground. I can recommend them to anyone.

Economy Lube was fast and efficient at changing my oil and providing up to date maintenance on my vehicle. They have friendly staff who took the time to answer all my questions. I highly recommend Economy Lube to anyone who demands great service.

Today I visited Economy Lube located at 688 Hespeler Rd, Cambridge, ON. Immediately the guy tried to upsell me to synthetic oil. When I didn't accept the guy tried to tell me that's the only oil recommended for my vehicle which is a lie. I told him I checked everything out with the dealer before I went in there and I could call the dealer if he needed proof. Then he became rude.

I saw on the website $19.99 for a regular oil change. (here's the old "Bait and Switch") When I got the bill for $37.00, I questioned the price and the guy said, "that's only for 5w30 and 10w30 if you want I can put that in there for ya." The oil recommend for my vehicle is 5w20. He was trying to be a wise guy but at the same time offering to put the wrong oil in my vehicle which would void my warranty. A disgusting display of pushy upselling.

BEWARE!! I had my tires changed at the Hespeler Road location and the very next day my tire flew off my car. The only good thing that came out of this is thankfully nobody was hurt because it could have gone very badly. My tire flew off the car, bounced over a lane of traffic and over the bridge on to hwy 401. MTO and OPP luckily were able to retrieve it. The front driver's side of my car was smashed in from the impact of my car hitting the ground. When I spoke to the locations manager he had his boss call me back. This person tried to bully me into taking my car to the guys he deals with to have it looked at... respectfully, your guys couldn't change my tire so why would I consider going somewhere that's convenient for you just because you say so...

On top of that he said that he was very busy and basically he was offering his help now but this was my chance. Totally rude, like this conversation was a waste of time. First of all, I'm sure you're a busy guy but please don't underestimate how busy I also am, and I'm the one that had to take time off of work to deal with an accident that was the fault of the business he is in charge of. The time I had to spend dealing with this whole thing way outweighs the 10 minute long conversation I had with this guy. In the end I never got anywhere with him because all he wanted was for me to do what he said. Honestly, these people should be fined for their carelessness that caused an accident. It's not right that they walk away with no consequence to their action... and possibly should have their licenses looked at by the school of trades. I will tell anyone who will listen this story- totally unacceptable!

I dropped my car off for a basic 10 minute oil change and went for a walk. Came back about 45 minutes later and not done yet. I decided to sit and wait. Suddenly the manager appeared very concerned about the other fluids in my car. They gave the impression I shouldn't leave the site with the tranny fluid in that condition. I reluctantly agreed to various system flushes, and suddenly it was done?! Are they psychic or just dishonest? I didn't know if they actually did anything - including the oil change - but my bill was 10 times what I expected. Then I streamed the old Marketplace show on these clowns. I was so angry.

I am really pleased to find this forum to warn future victims. Can I give zero stars, or a turkey? My advice: find a good licenced mechanic who you trust; you will pay a bit more but it is worth it. Also if (s)he notices any issues (s)he will be able to give informed advice. An honest mechanic will want to build a long-term relationship, not ** you once with the knowledge that they will never see you again. What kind of business model is that? Where did this guy go to business school? If you can't get in to your mechanic a reputable outfit, like Canadian Tire, is a better bet - at least they won't touch anything without asking first.

I visited Economy lube in Brantford for an oil change, they tried to upsell me by saying I needed a transmission flush. They even tried to show me what was apparently my brown transmission fluid in a cup and told me my oil change would be free if I did the flush right away. I refused the transmission flush and left with just my oil being changed. After 3 weeks of driving my car started to sound terrible, I took it to two different mechanics one being my dealership and both told me my engine was not being lubricated due to the wrong filter being put in after my last oil change and now had serious issues. DO NOT GO HERE. My 4 year old car is shot now because of them. Also both checked my transmission fluid and it was fine, my car was at least 60,000 km away from needing one.

We needed an oil change on our car as it was past due. We were away from home and just wanted a quick oil change done. We went to Economy Lube in Guelph. BIG MISTAKE!!! I wish I had read reviews before. They told us our rad was completely dry and they couldn't just top it up but rather had to flush it. It would cost $150 and the oil change would be "free". We decided to have it done as we didn't want to be stranded on the highway with a rad that was bone dry. I asked why our car wouldn't have warning lights on and was told because it's an old car and it didn't have a sensor...right...

When we left our car was smoking and we've never had that problem before. We called them to state this and were assured it was no problem as it was just residue fluid from the flush. We made it home (thankfully) and took the car to our mechanic who said the rad was cracked and needed to be replaced and that we'd been taken. Honestly, the rad was bone dry again as it was cracked!!! No mention of a crack was given to us by Economy Lube and now we aren't even sure an oil change was done as no sticker was put on the car either. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. When it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Trust your gut! I see all these nightmare reviews and an investigation by Marketplace on CBC and I seriously wonder how the heck they're still in business. Makes me sick that these idiots are taking advantage of people.

So I took my car for a synthetic oil change last week. It's about 5 km from my house. I drive into the bay and get the synthetic oil change. Of course during the oil change they push all the upsells and such like air filter, cabin filter and such. But this was the first time I've was offered an oil change and undercoating for 100. Which was really a good offer and something so absurd. I should have known a synthetic oil change and rust proofing below $ 100 was just too good to be true. Now you are wondering how is this a scam? Well for start a good synthetic oil change at other places are $80 and rust proofing cost around the same ballpark. Second, I had to go for oil change again!!!

I still had 4000 Kms and three more months to go according to their own sticker. Well, I had go for a oil change again today. My car makes a weird sound when my oil is due and is bang on. Checked the dip stick - had literally no oil. If you work for the company - I have pictures as proof of your scam. Can’t believe you guys get away those. Honestly - after speaking to ppl about this and their experience - how are they still in business? If you work for them - then WOW!!! I won't be returning there soon and warning about these guys. Seriously, stay away from this place.

I have gone 3 three times for oil changes. It’s great that it so fast. Twice they have told me I needed things done and showed me what the issue was. As well they try to help with the price. I am mechanically inclined, and I knew that I had not done anything that was needed since I owned my car. I am sorry people have had bad experiences, but you know that you can say no, go somewhere else have it checked and I pretty much guarantee the price will be close to double! I personally have called the other place I used to go to for the same service I had done and the price was a few hundred dollars more and no chance of discount.
