I've researched other warranties. I came across your website and submitted my information. I was pleased that when I received a call from Mr. **, he was pleasant and understanding of my time and was not pushy like the others I've encountered. He made my experience worth calling him back and signing up very enjoyable. I would be more than happy to recommend ASAP to anyone who is searching for extra coverage on their car.
In regards to addressing a submitted claim for repair, I had to make NUMEROUS calls to get an answer from a representative in the claims department in regards to the status of said claim. Once I was able to speak with a rep, Thomas ** (Supervisor) ext **, he was unaware of company policy in regards to names of individuals within the company, he simply deflected answers to my questions as "they are corporate." He did not know if the call was being recorded or not and continued to be dismissive of my inquiry in regards to my submitted claim. He deemed my needed repair was a pre-existing condition prior to my auto coverage beginning.
This denial was presumably based on an assessment performed at the dealership 3 weeks prior of the beginning date of the contract, which at the time suggested that a repair would be possibly needed in the future but was not needed at the time. I took my car to have a battery exchange performed and this was made as a visual observation by the mechanic changing the battery out. So, ASAP's claims dept. decided to use the 'grey area' for basing their decision on the denial of my claim for a suggestive FUTURE repair.
I paid $2175 cash for my warranty. My car has been in the shop for 7 days. I've called ASAP more than 5 or more times per day to get a status on their approval. First they wanted an estimate from the shop. That took more than a day to review after receiving. Then they sent an inspector at the end of the next business day. I call the next day. They said they are waiting for inspector and his report. I told them I spoke to the shop and the inspector was there the previous day. ASAP agent said he will have to call inspector for report. He said they will call me back written they get inspection back. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Abe agent tells me he would have to speak to manager. I have yet to get a call from ASAP the entire time my car has been in the shop. This is the worst warranty I've dealt with.
After purchasing a warranty from ASAP, I needed to correct an error that they made on the policy. I had a very difficult time contacting anyone there. Their communication was terrible. I decided that if it was this hard just to correct some documentation, getting a claim handled would be a disaster. So I cancelled my policy under the 30 day money back guarantee. They emailed a response saying it would take 7 to 14 business days to process my refund. It is well past the 14 days, and they haven't processed the refund.
For a few days now, I contacted their customer service department, and have asked to talk to a supervisor, and they will not connect me. Sounds very suspicious, like a scam. I just want to alert others to the business practices they use. Also, I checked on BBB, and they have a B rating with several complaints about their policies. Buyer beware. Not sure how to get them to respond or refund my money. Looking into legal options now.
Jacob ** was my contact person and he exceeded my expectations, when he answered all my questions, and I had a lot of questions. Jacob, was the reason I felt comfortable to move forward with signing on with ASAP. Jacob was great at being lighthearted, patient, friendly but very professional. Jacob is the type of person I would look for if I was hiring someone for my corporation.

I canceled my policy on Sept 6th, 2016 and they said it would be 14 business days before I get my refund... It's 10/17/16 and still haven't received my refund! I've called several times and I keep getting the same person on the phone and she said she would have Thomas give me a call to fix this issue but never received a call from him. I've tried calling them several (6) times to talk to someone else but can never get anyone with a management position on the phone or even a returned call. All I wanted was my refund but they have yet to give me my refund. I will never refer this company to anyone... seems very shady!
Mark did a great job of working with me and making the decision an easy one to choose American Standard Auto Protection. He is professional and worked hard to earn my business. I really appreciate all he did.
I purchased a five year extended warranty to cover my 2005 Corvette. The car is in excellent condition and I plan to keep it for many years, yet it is very reassuring to have insurance coverage to protect me against any unforeseen problems. My request for coverage was handled in a very professional manner.
I am very upset. We cancelled our contract. We did all of the steps that you required. Now, 15 days later, we still do not have our refund. We have made several attempts to speak with someone at your company, but no one can be bothered to let us know what is actually going on and whether or not a refund will be remitted to us. At this point, I feel that my only recourse is to contact the Better Business Bureau and the California Insurance Commissioner. The main reason that we cancelled our contract is that after several attempts to contact Mark **, who when selling the contract was more than happy to say he would always be there for us, never has returned even one phone call.
In Jan of 2016, I bought a used Nissan GTR. Since this car is expensive and so are repairs, I researched third party warranties. ASAP had decent reviews so I bought my warranty for $3500. Last month, while driving on the freeway, my transmission went out. I had my car towed to a Nissan dealership and I called ASAP that day which was a Sunday, to file a claim. They said the claim was started and a rep would call me on Monday. No one called for two weeks. Finally I called them and they said they can't get a hold of the dealership. I asked how that would be possible because the dealership has been calling them everyday. Then the rep tells me on the phone that someone is speaking with the dealership right now. She told me the diagnosis was being inputted and I will hear a decision within 2-24 hours.
I don't hear anything again for two days so I call back. Now I needed to submit my contract when I bought the car from the dealership, all of my service records, and the cars registration. I gladly do that and they said I will get a phone call in 24 hours. Guess what no phone call, I call back and now they said they are sending a third party inspector to review the repairs. They tell me the inspector would arrive yesterday and I should hear answer tomorrow afternoon. Again, still no answer. I called today and they said the report has not been received from the inspector. All of this for a $1200 repair bill. I am truly disgusted by this company and I am canceling my contract with them. It is obvious they are not here to help you. They are doing everything in their power to not cover your repairs. Do not trust this company!!!
I have had nothing but trouble since working with them. I have called 21 times, contacted the BBB, wrote a letter (that was sent back as a non-business) from the USPS, emailed and now disputed the charge on my credit card. I am not sure what is going on but I stopped my service within a day of signing up and now it has been almost 45 days and no credit has been issued. I am told each time that someone will call me back and no one does. I was told to call at 9:00 am and now I am told to call back in an hour for the billing department. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ASAP.
I have requested a refund after reading the policy exceptions to the policy I just purchased. It does not cover the parts I was told it would by the original selling agent. I have requested a refund and was hung up on with my first refund request call. The second call I was put on hold for over 27 minutes and then told an email would be sent to me immediately to confirm my request for a refund. The email never arrived. My third call on Friday, 10-7-16 was to a Mr. Robert **, ext. **, who told me the email would take at least 24 hours to process and arrive.
I have waited over the weekend, and no such email has arrived. I have called Mr. ** in the last 10 minutes and was put into voice mail. What kind of scam is this company trying to pull? Why haven't I received confirmation of my cancellation request and refund on my credit card? Why. The policy clearly states I am within my cancellation time frame of 30 days since the policy was purchased on 9-29-16. What kind of scam is this company trying to pull?
I just started my coverage so I can't really comment on the actual claim experience. However my interaction with the sales representative was and is outstanding. He has been very attentive and has quickly answered any questions of mine and has been more than flexible with my requests to make adjustments to my program/coverage. Truthfully he was the main factor in me choosing American Standard Auto over other companies I solicited. The overall program, coverage, and how everything is handled up to this point has made this a very enjoyable experience so far!
Hi All - I appreciate the representative I spoke to on the phone when ordering the warranty. I was referred to ASAP by a client, Randy **, whom raved about the product and the professional services he has received. Thanks so much.
Very clear and concise answers to my questions. Joseph ** was helpful and informative. Some verbal commitments will need to be checked against the written documentation I expect to receive [cancel option, start date at end of factory warranty, etc]. I would recommend to a friend based on limited experience so far.
Your representative Mark ** phoned me as a follow up to my request for information. He was detailed in explaining the coverage, provisions, and exclusions. I felt the price was competitive and the $0.00 deductible was the determining factor in selecting American Standard. Nice job Mark!
On 08/29/2016 I purchased an extended auto warranty. On 08/30/2016 I stopped the service and requested a refund. I was told that I had 30 days money back and I would receive a credit in 7-14 days. It has now been 25 days and I have yet to receive a credit for $1,995.00 back to my Discover card. I have called every day for the past 9 days but I am told is they must get with administration and show that I deserve a credit but they can help me. Each person promises to call me back but no one has for the past 9 days. I sent a letter to American Standard Auto Protection 300 Delaware Ave Wilmington, DE 19801 requesting that they refund my money. I received the letter back from the USPS that this was not a business (return to sender).
Your sales person made the warranty program very reasonable in cost and explained the benefits well. I hope the Warranty plan will be as good as advertised. Since I just began and haven't reached the 30 day wait period, I have no comment on the service yet.
I was pleasantly surprised with their salespeople. When it came to actually using their services that is when everything went south. I should have had my first "warning" when the first shop I took it to did a diagnosis, called and was given a "maybe it will be covered". They called me telling me that they would not work with ASAP because they didn't seem like they were going to cover anything. I took it to a dealership and they did the diagnosis and submitted...it was almost 48 hours after submission that the inspector went to look at the car at the dealership. In the meantime I had been calling ASAP asking what was going on with no confirmed anything. I was the one who had to tell them the inspector received the work order 27 hours after they received the diagnosis and that he would be there the next morning.
I had been calling and at one point, the representative asked me if I was calling about the denial! SHOCKER! They said that the things that were wrong were way older. I bought the car in June, bought the warranty in July and wasn't able to use it til now. Needless to say, I finally received a call back from a supervisor, who was NO HELP! I asked to cancel and was advised I would receive an email which was over an hour ago and has not been received. I spent quite a bit on this and not sure when I will receive any kind of refund. I would NEVER advise anyone about getting a car warranty if you suspect there are issues, because apparently they are NOT covered! Not sure why else you would buy a warranty unless you feel like your car may need it soon!?!
After having a car that got totaled and having to purchase a new vehicle used vehicle to replace it, I feel comforted in knowing I have a backup plan in the event an unknown presents itself. I was nervous about this company, but Mark was a very thorough help. Feel safe knowing I am covered.
You have proven to be the most unethical business I have ever been a part of. After me paying 3000 dollars for a warranty an issue with a window on my car was turned down because you claim it was pre-existing. That is a lie and your company, your 3rd party inspector, and bmw and myself know it. The windows worked perfect until Sunday and there is no way that is true. This was pre-existing!!! I have cancelled my contract with your company and will make certain I do everything possible to make sure no one else is treated this way by your company. You are a disgrace to a warranty company.
I have had a great experience thus far. I just hope that if I have to submit a claim that it will be just as smooth as the enrollment process.
They will take your money over the phone and assure you everything is covered... until your car breaks down. It has been in the shop for 3 weeks waiting for the approval. It was denied (for no reason, I have video proof the car needs the repair) and when I asked for a refund they said they need to go through their supervisor to approve it. Very long drawn out processes. Please do not waste your money on a warranty from them. I have never felt so cheated on my life.
The customer service was excellent. The quote was a far better value that the one I received from an Audi dealer. Assuming there isn't an issue with the small print or the actual service if/when repairs are needed, I would highly recommend American Standard Auto Protection.
Very polite and professional and knowledgeable about the warranty and its coverage. I only hope that this isn't a crock and take me for my money and the warranty will be there when the time comes should I ever have to use it! Hope I don't get the runaround and if I ever have to use it and this company stands by their word and does what they say they will do.
Mark was very fair and upfront with me and gave me the answers to all my questions. He was very professional and courteous and I will highly recommend him as I brag about my Porsche and its warranty. Feel free to call me with any questions.
I called to cancel my contract on 9/6/2016 and left a message with your rep. Never got a callback. Called back 2.5 hours later, talked to another person who tried to get a hold of your reply and couldn't but assured me I'd get a callback that day, never did. Still have not gotten a callback 30 plus hours later, getting quite frustrated. Supposed to be a 100% hassle free refund if before 30 days. Guess we have different definitions on 100% hassle free. If I do not receive a call tomorrow 9/8/2016 I will explore other options in dealing with you and getting my refund. Stand behind what you sell and the claims you make.
After being given a verbal commitment that everything was covered, I'm now being told, my first claim, that whatever the mechanic says is wrong with the vehicle is not covered. After requesting to speak with management to address the issue, Thomas has issued a "cancellation" letter without my request being considered to speak with his manager.
I was very comfortable with the person who help me while I decide on the policy I would get. He made it a point to double check everything so that there weren't any mistake.
Five years - 75000 miles from factory warranty which expired on January 2, 2017. New warranty begins on January 2, 2017 through January 1, 2022 or 120,000. Value was amazing and also added rim and tire coverage as a bonus. Great deal, in my expectation.
