Company was quick to respond next day visit, then installation was in 5 days. Every person we have interacted with was amazing. The chair has given us our home back. We should have done this years ago!

Las Frank Allen did a wonderful job on my stair lift chair. He was polite and courteous and made me feel comfortable.. I would ask for him again. He also cleaned my chair and gave me a new battery for my remote.

From my initial contact with Gwen at Acorn Stairlifts in Edmonton, my experience was resoundingly positive. Sidney, the technician that came to my mother's townhouse for the initial quote, was engaged, compassionate, kind and thorough. She took the time to understand my mother's needs and tailor the system for her specific needs. Sidney even took the time to help fill out paperwork for the senior's assistance program and educate us on our options. The installation was scheduled very shortly thereafter. Far above and beyond what was required of her and she really stood out amongst the other competitors we had consulted.

I had such a positive experience. Our salesman has gotten the job done. I am disabled and he was able to get our stair lift done within a two day timeframe. Our stair lift works perfectly and our salesman even offered a custom color to match our home. I would highly recommend Acorn stair lifts

Add me to the list of folks Acorn has duped! Like many others, I did extensive research regarding stairlift companies and went with Acorn because of how well the sales rep presented and sold me on their product. I've only had the unit since Nov. 10th, 2025, but didn't really begin using it until my wife can home from rehab hospital on 18 Dec., 2025. So, with only two weeks of normal use, I now receive an "H1" error code that has rendered the chair useless. Like many others, I called the service number, waited on hold for approximately 20-minutes just to get an answering service informing me to leave a message and my number for service department to call me later--never happened.

Finally, called this morning and spoke to service rep who informed me that a technician will need to come out and that she is listing my service-ticket as "high priority". Received a call ten minutes later and the lady I spoke to informed me they can send a technician out on 8 Jan, 2026--three days from now. I explained that three days from now is totally unacceptable, as this chair is a medical necessity device for my wife. She said sorry, that's the best she can do.

I have submitted a complaint to the BBB indicating like others, this company uses deceptive practices to get their products sold. Presentation and explanation of services provided by the sales rep does not match at all with the actual services, or should I indicate "lack of service" being given. Mind all, my trouble ticket was submitted as "high priority". Hate to find out response time is for standard trouble tickets! At this point, I wish I can just have them take this unit out, refund my money so I can go with another more honest company.

Customer Service is poor. Pay for annual maintenance and when calling due to a hard failure (i.e. Stops working) on the weekend they told me only return calls next business day. Another example trying to schedule annual maintenance review is a joke. Takes multiple phone calls to get someone to confirm if/when maintenance is scheduled. The service tech agreed how bad service is, he claims there's a staff shortage. If there's a better company I'm considering replacing because can not afford to have my chair down for days on end.

Buyer beware. Installation went great. Chair beeps (safety feature) at top of stairs. Repair person was not able to fix and was told “You will have to live with the beeping.” After spending over $12,000 for this chair I would have expected more empathy AND for it to work longer than a couple months. Should have gone to a competitor and paid more!!!

We have had an indoor stairlift for the past 4 years. It works perfectly and even keeps a charge during power outages. So when we found out they had outdoor lifts we didn’t hesitate to order one. OMG OMG OMG. If you live in a cold climate do not get one!!! The battery does not keep a charge. The guy who installed it was green and had troubles. It takes lots of fussing to make it go up or down. The guy who sold it to us does not answer calls now or emails. The Customer Service line is a joke. The woman told me to wait until tomorrow when it would be warmer. HAHAHA. I told her it was not going to be warmer for the next 4 months. They wanted to charge $295 to come out to charge it!!!! I want a refund!!!

Very disappointed this company.... Product is nice but support is terrible, no one calls you back, they promote a referral program where you get 200.00 for referring some. It's a complete lie, they never send check, called 5 times over a month and always a story, false advertising, outright lie. I am reporting them to all the consumer agency for fraudulent marketing.

This company does not have adequate number of technicians to service the equipment they sell. We are forced to wait 4 days to get a chair repaired that is not operating. Our mother is stuck on the second floor of her home because Acorn cannot get a tech out any sooner. 3 calls to Acorn Customer Non-service begging for assistance is to no avail. Don't make the mistake we made, find an alternative to this company.
