Sheraton Rooms & Service

Sheraton
Billing disputes
Personal injury
Lost & lost again
Shabby treatment of military personnel
Smelly, noisy room

Kevin of Lakewood NJ (7/8/03):
I reserved a room online at the Miami Sheraton with 2 deluxe beds, non smoking. Upon arriving to the hotel, I was given a different room than the one I reserved. I went down to speak to the manager who told me that reservations on line are not guaranteed. I told him there was no disclaimer stating so, he lost his temper and began yelling at me "you can take your stuff and get out of the hotel." I tried calling Starwood Corporate only to get no response.

Denise of Howell NJ (7/9/02):
On June 22, 2002, my daughter (age 15), her friend (age 15) and myself stayed at the Four Points Sheraton in Mt Arlington, NJ. We were in the area because we were participating in a girls softball tournament. There were numerous families from the area also staying at this hotel. When we first entered the hotel room we were all taken aback because of the horrendous odor that premeated the room. I called the front desk and asked for another room, but they could not accommodate me since the hotel was booked up. So instead they sent housekeeping who sprayed a fragrant liquid, but it only masked the odor.

In addition, the room had a door to the ajoining room, which was locked. We noticed that there were no security guards at the hotel. There were several loud parties going on at the hotel, and one of them was located next to our room. These parties started after 11:00pm, there was loud music, foul language, drinking and banging going on. I contacted the front desk twice to tell them about the noise levels and the disturubance from the party. I don't know if they ever came up to the room to stop them, but the parties continued into the early morning (4:00am).

One of the most frightening thing was the door to the ajoining room kept on rattling and my daughter and friend were petrified that they were coming into the room. When I checked out I told the front desk that I was very disgusted with their hotel and lack of security and that I would be contacting the main headquarters, which I did. I received a letter of apology from Ms Murphy (gen Mgr of the hotel) who offered and gave me a 25% credit, which I feel is inadequate for all the aggrevation and stress we experienced. I was expecting 100% credit on my account.
