I've purchased tickets from priceline twice in the past half a year, both times to fly home for breaks between quarters at graduate school. My experineces there have been perfect. They manage to find me tickets at the rockbottom prices that I select, and I've never had a problem with ticket pickup, connecting flights, or anything else.
I know that priceline.com has made my life better overall since I can now get my tickets for 1/4-1/3 less than what I'd normally pay. The reason that all these people have these complaints is that they didn't take the time to read the information provided. It's all there in black and white, and all it takes is time for you to look it over.
As is true for most ventures, aggressive ignorance will always get you burned in the end.
