We wrote all the details and have not received refund after several months of wait. I tried to call several times, futile.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Won a trip, paid $400.00, never received my trip or my money back.

We "won" a vacation a couple of years ago. We sent in our $400.00 and copies of passports, etc. We were scheduled to travel in summer of 2009. They sent us an email and informed us that due to the swine flu all vacations were canceled. We would have until the end of 2009 to rebook trip. On 6/22/09 was the last contact I have had. I have tried numerous times to contact them via phone, fax and email. I have read blogs, and etc. explaining that others have had same issue. We have been out $400. I am also concerned that copies of our passports are floating around somewhere.

My husband, Victor H. **, and I attended a presentation on Nov. 2008 and we were given a Vacation Certificate (Cert No. **) from Mexico Paradise Getaways (MPG) as a gift for participating. The promotion was for 3 days/2 nights and 2 round trip airfares to Mexico for "free". On December 2008, we redeemed the certificate no. 57517, which was issued under my husband's name (Victor H. **). As indicated in the Rules of Use and General Information, we agreed and paid $100 deposit and $300 for airfare taxes.
However, when our travel dates were approaching on November 2009, MPG called us to postpone our trip to a later date. And so they did in two additional occasions. The third time we spoke to MPG on June 30, 2010, they canceled the certificate because they were no longer flying anyone to Mexico and promised they would refund our $400. We were told to wait 90 days for the refund.
When we called back by the end of September 2010, Mr. Chuck ** told us that he was sending our $400 within 6 weeks. Since then, we have been having numerous phone conversations with Mr. Chuck ** where he has been giving us excuses as to why he has not sent our $400 refund. On February 2, 2011 was the last time we spoke on the phone with Mr. Chuck **, he finally assured us that he would be sending our $400 on the mail the next day. It has been a month already and we have not received any money. We have called Mr. Chuck **, every single day for the past six business days and he has not returned our calls.

We went to a time share presentation and received this "free" tripin 2008. We followed all the prompts and just like the other complaints had no trip and are out $400. I called the number given in one of the other e-mails to try to reach Chuck ** directly, but it is not the correct number. No one at that phone knew of him and this man said he is getting over 200 calls all asking for Mr. Chuck **. We have also put in many "help" tickets on the web site, but they clearly do not want to help anyone. This sucks and we need to bring some kind of class action claim against this company. Anyone know of one? Please contact me if you do. We are out $400.00 just like everyone else.

We bought a timeshare from Spinnaker Resorts and they gave us this trip from Mexico Paradise Getaways. We sent in all our information along with $100 deposit and $300 in taxes for plane tickets and hotel. We gave them 3 dates as requested and our last date has come and gone with no contact from them. I have tried to fax them and e-mail and also set up a help ticket, actually 2, online. Nothing! I just called again today hoping for some response. We are out a total of $400. Not to mention the headache of trying to deal with these people, I guess there are real people there, I'm not sure.

I'm writing this as a public service to all those who have not seen any refund from the company Mexico Paradise Getaways. In the course of 16 months, I have contacted their website and call center info for MPG over 40 times only to be replied with broken promises, nameless auto-responses, or just plain no replies. But if you've googled the term "Mexico Paradise Getaways Scam", I'm sure you've already seen all of this because you've lived it. What you might not have seen is the guy behind the crime. The president/CEO of the company is Chuck R. Snow direct phone number 702-415-4102. In fact, a simple yellow pages search for the Springfield, MO area will give you his home phone number and address if it escalates to that.
What's worked for me (and hopefully the 200+ people behind the BBB complaints who have no response from the company)? If and when you get a hold of Chuck, inform him that you understand that there has been a lot of financial trouble at MPG, and that the continuing violence in Mexico does not help matters. Tell him you've tried on countless occasions to try to reach telephone and email customer service for MPG (you can use the name Marcia **, she is the call center manager) but you have not yet reached anyone who could assist you. Tell Chuck all of the above is no excuse for not receiving your contract entitled refund (most likely $100 deposit, plus $300 plane taxes and fees).
What really caused Chuck to listen is when I informed him that there is a class action lawsuit that I was willing to withdraw my claim from if he sent my $400 refund in the next Friday refund shipment. At the time of this writing, the lawsuit may or may not have actually been pending. Regardless, MPG has proven that they want to play hardball and if you want your refund you'll need to use strong (yet respectful) language. The sooner you get in contact with Chuck, the better. It is only a matter of time that MPG declares bankruptcy, and you may be out of luck to get your refund of that happens.3 weeks after my last conversation with Chuck, a $100 refund check came in the mail with a handwritten sticky note indicating that the remainder was coming from a separate account.
My BBB complaint has led to a Consumer Protection Investigation of Mexico Paradise Getaways by the Attorney General of Missouri, Jefferson City. Investigator Kenneth ** has contacted myself and more than 200 other victims. On the same day, I received the letter from his office, Chuck Snow contacted me and informed me that the remainder $300 check has been sent. I also received an email from customercare@formpg.com confirming the fact. Good Luck!

I went to a "vacation package" seminar in November of 2008 and purchased. We were awarded the "free trip" through the above company, but had to jump through many hoops to get it. I have canceled the trip as of February 2010 as I was getting nowhere and had spent $400. I did what was asked to cancel and told it would be 60-90 days for my reimbursement. I spoke with Chuck on several occasions the whole time he was assuring me I would receive my refund. It is now July 9, 2010 and I am tired of waiting and he is now not returning my phones calls. I am very frustrated.

I went to a timeshare presentation and "won" a 2 night, 3 day trip to Mexico. I sent in my money, copy of passport, etc. I have written over 20 emails, sent many faxes, and even have written to the company. The phone number is disconnected. There is a website which gives you opportunity to ask questions. I got many, many "canned" responses telling me someone will call me back shortly. Shortly has never come. I have all my documentation and either need some contact or my money returned. I cannot reach a human being or get any response. Thank you. I sent $100 deposit and $150 for taxes and my daughter sent $150 for taxes so, that's a total of $400 plus the cost of the certified mailing and all the faxing, etc.

I received a phone call telling me that I won a free trip to my choice of destinations through Mexico paradise vacations. All I had to do was go listen to this vacation club presentation and get my certificate. This I did. I received my certificate paid all the fees and taxes, paid to get a passport took time off of work for the promised vacation. They never called to cancel the dates I chose. I had to call them over 15 times and finally the day before I was to travel, they told me I was not going on that date to pick 3 more dates. Again I did. The first two dates came and went the third date I got a call telling me I was to travel on September 23 so I took the week off of work for the vacation. No contact from the MPG Company at all. I called every day for 2 weeks to find out about my flight and hotel information. On the 22nd of September I finally got a hold of someone and they told me again that I was not traveling. Pick 3 more dates I was told again. This time I decided to cancel the vacation certificate. So I did this though the web site. In writing and email. The automated email that they sent me stated that refunds can take up to 90 days. It has been almost over 120 days and I have not heard from anyone. When I call the number on the web site I am told that they do not have anything to do with the refunds. I will be contacted by someone shortly and still no contact or refund.

They have collected $400 for the trip to Mexico. They kept the money over a year. I finally cancelled in January and was told I will be refunded in 90 days. It has been four and a half months and still no refund. I have emailed and called numerous times but no one takes responsibility for that. Chuck ** is the one who always reassures me that by the end of the week the money will be there. I am sure this is a scam and they have pocketed the money and have no intentions of returning it.

I booked a trip in 2009. I sent $100 deposit and a $300 fee for the trip. They had to cancel and reschedule due to swine flu. By October of 2009, they could not accommodate us and we asked for a refund of the $400. We were told we would have it in 90 days and it has now been over 7 months. They do not answer the phone or return phone calls or e-mails. It has been a total nightmare. When you look at all the people they are taking $400 from, it is a significant financial crime. We have grounds for a class action law suit.

Company asked for $100 deposit, which I sent. Then I canceled my trip and requested the refund. It has been over a year, and with multiple follow-up emails and no response from them and no check. Their on-line system is all automated and I am not able to speak to a person. When I email, I get an automated response that indicates it will be 90 days for the refund (it has been over a year now) and that the ticket is closed. When I called the number above, they directed me to the on-line system to put a ticket in. When I asked what I could do to get my $100 deposit back, they stated "hire a lawyer". Economic damage is the loss of my $100 deposit.

Mexican Paradise Getaways promised an all paid trip. First, they asked for $100 in cashier's check then another $300 to book. They asked to fill out three dates. Due to swine flu epidemic, they mentioned they would not be able to honor the selected dates. I asked for a refund. They responded that it would take up to 90 days to refund. It has been over five months now. The money was sent in March 2009 (for a trip in August). They keep asking to fill out a request form online. I have done this three times. No one responds back.

We also went to local timesharring presentation and sent 100$,year later there is no vacation and no money. This is US business ,this is not Mexican,so I dont know how can they do after all those years.Total ripp off.

I sent them $100 as a refundable deposit on a Free vacation to Mexico. they emailed to say they received everything. Now all the dates are past and I can't contact them. I have spent 30+ hours trying to find them. We sent them $100 and paid for the Money Order and the Certified Mail. We want the vacation and our $100 back as we were promised.

We were told if we couldn't take the trip when Mexico Paradise Getaways said we could then we would get our $200. deposit back. I have a paper trial (EMAILS) from Mid April, they said 30 days and it has now been 90, and now they refuse to communicate with us, all the phone numbers are full of voice mails and they cannot take any more calls.
