Greyhound - Accidents

Melicia of Asheville NC (10/16/04):
On March 27, 2002 I departed from Asheville, North Carolina on a Greyhound Bus. Two days later the bus was involved in an accident in Dells, Wisconsin and I was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Lost Luggage
Lost Freight
Reckless Drivers
Sleepy Drivers
Scheduling Foul-Ups
False Arrest
Fare Disputes

Stranded
Illegal Smoking
Hostile Employees
Individual Sagas

I was injured because the driver slammed on the brakes to avoid a collision with a car that had pulled out in front of him. I was thrown out of my seat and injured my neck, hip and lower back. My two children were with me at the time.

When I reached my destination of Tacoma, Washington on April 1, I was treated by a doctor. Greyhound refused to return me to Asheville unless I rode one of their buses. Once I returned home on April 13 I was treated by my doctor for chronic neck and back pain.

Since then I have been approved for disability. A federal court judge told me to seek a personal injury attorney to help me file a claim against Greyhound; the only problem is that I live in North Carolina, but the accident happened in Wisconsin so I need an attorney in both states. I'm having a problem trying to get in touch with someone from Greyhound so that I can file a claim.

It seems that now my only choice is to file a civil suit against Greyhound, because I can't find an attorney to help me with this personal injury case. I suffer from chronic pain and severe headaches on a daily basis and things are getting worse. I feel like if you get hurt on a Greyhound bus someone should be responsible.
