Cozumel Vacation Club

Karina of Palatine, IL, writes:
My husband and I had gone to Cozumel, Mexico for our honeymoon back in October. While we were there, we were told about the Sol Caribe Vacation Club, which was like a timeshare, but different in how you use it.

We decided to get it after they had told us they were owned and affiliated with Century 21. We put down $3550 and were told that we would be receiving information from Century 21 in the mail and all of our membership information.

Well, when we got back, we received a phone call from a Century 21 representative to tell us about the program and to give us a little info, her name was Jennifer. After not receving our information a month later, we tried to call jennifer back, she was not there and they stated that no one but her can help us out and other internation reps from Century 21 couldn't help us out either. so we emailed them.

We are now at the end of January and we still have not received our membership packets. We tried calling this past week and I demanded that we speak to someone, even if Jennifer was not there.

After speaking to another Century 21 representative, they stated that we don't "exist " as members to them and the hotel hasnt paid the "fee" that they were supposed to pay for us to become members, even though we had contracts and Jennifer had called us.

We tried calling the hotel with no luck, they have our money and we are not getting reponses back from anyone.

We had made plans to take a trip in April and and now we cannot, because Century 21 is saying we would need at least 60 days for us to make reservations and since the hotel has not paid yet, we would have to wait for that , then wait for our packets, and then make our reservations. so basically we cannot go.

After speaking with Century 21, never in my life have I been treated so rudely, and I dont belive I deserved this since I am a paying customer. Not only have I had to take time away from my work to contact them, I am feeling embarassed as hell due to the fact that our friends and family WERE coming on vacation with us and now we can't even get reservations for our " timeshares " that we have paid for.

We are supposed to be making monthly payments, but we will not be sending any in until we get this resolved, we dont even want this damn thing anymore, we just want to get our money back and get rid of this headache.
