Greg of Centreville, VA (01/28/08) I signed up for the new Clear card program, which is an outside company working with TSA to expedite airport security lines. Though out the website an application process it states that SSN, drivers license numbers, etc are not required for applying or processing, but that they needed to see and verify the documentation and ID of the individual making the application.
Once I appeared at the office on Capitol Hill Credit Union today and presented my documents for verification, one person was asking me questions while the other was scanning my passport and drivers license into a data system, with no means of canceling the data collection.
I stated that both Clear and TSA stated that they did not need this information just verify it in person. Now my personal information is within a database controlled by Lockheed Martin along with my biometrics.
I don't know where it's going to end up or sold to in the future. The representatives told me they were just following instruction, but by who?
