Carnival Cruise Lines - Children's Programs

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I'm a frustrated ex-passenger of Carnival. I sailed with Carnival June 1 2002, and my cruise was ok. So I decided this year to book my entire family on the Carnival Legend. But when time for my booking I was told it's mandatory for me to pay third passenger rate for my 17-month-old daughter. I believe this is crazy and upsetting because my daughter will not have three-course meals pepared by the chefs on this line. Is there any way we can eliminate this cruise line or other cruise lines from charging for children under two years old?

First off, this cruise for one week cost me $3,000 for me and my two girls. It was our first cruise and it was awful, bad food, old ship, "party ship", horrible entertainment, nothing for teenagers to do. Not only do I feel robbed of what should have been a wonderful experience, my children, along with our traveling companion's children, were confronted with marijuana and cocaine on board.
It has just come to light that my daughter, who is 14, was able to purchase alcohol at the Cozumel, Mexico port. I found that out because I just recently found her puking her guts up, incoherent, which lead to everyone spilling the beans on where it came from. I am so outraged. I know some 14 year olds look 20, but my daughter looks 10. There was no mistaking she was a minor!!!

It was just a horrible experience, others on board felt the same way. But endangering my children is unacceptable. I just can't get over the fact that drugs and alcohol got onboard without detection and that my kids were subjected to that.
