Belaire Vacation Club

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

In March 2006, my husband and I purchased a fractional ownership in this pre-constructed luxury resort, Belaire Vacation Golf Club and Spa, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We paid a total of $50,000 for our "Diamond" membership with a promise that it would be finished by Jan. 2008. Of course, it is nowhere near completion at this date, 10/26/2010. The website is useless and out of date, and is virtually impossible to access as members.

There has been almost no communication from the company to the buyers in any way or form. My husband passed away last December at the age of 68, never even coming close to enjoying what we thought would be a dream come true. I feel like we were lied to and cheated out of a very large amount of money. I really want my money back. None of we "members" deserve this. There must be a way for us to get our money back, if we so desire. Can anyone out there help me get my money back and also help the others who also wish to do so? This is not fair! It should be illegal for the resort company to keep our money if we request it back.

We, like many others, purchased this timeshare in Puerto Vallata. It has turned out to be a real scam. We purchased it in January 2007 with many promises like a buy back guarantee, exchange to other resorts, completion dates that never come to fruition, and etc. All that is there is a site with steel beams and a restaurant, spa and a coffee tent. Now the owners have changed their name to U Vallarta and more promises like they will sell our contract for a 10% fee up front. We, the purchasers, would like our money back, but that might be just a dream. Antonio and his crew are still selling the units and we want no one else to get taken like we have been. I have lost a lot of money.
