On 31/1/11, I made an online purchase of a dress from the above mentioned company. Their website is www.weddingdresses100.com. I immediately received payment confirmation but they did not mention the estimated delivery time of the dress as they say so in their website.
On 21st of February, I sent them an email requesting information about expected delivery date. I was really upset at the time because my sister, who placed an order a month before, just received an email from them telling her that they will make a refund since they cannot deliver on time. They replied to my email asking me to confirm if it would be okay to deliver the dress by end of March, otherwise, they could refund the money. I confirmed, as they requested, that I would expect the dress by end or March.
Today 5th of March, I received an email telling me that they would refund my money because they cannot deliver on time! I think this is an unacceptable situation since basically they let me know over a month after placing my order that they cannot deliver! They didn't even apologize! The same thing happened in the case of my sister who ordered a wedding dress. Isn't there any international consumer protection legislation that can prevent these things from happening?
