I got the rainforest bouncy chair as a baby shower gift. I placed my daughter in it once and the entire right side did bend so it was lopsided. Now this is my first child and I've never used Fisher Price before but I'm sure this is not suppose to happen.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I absolutely dislike Toys R Us after our experience this evening. I grew up buying clothes and toys, from when my parents took me there until the purchases I make for my kids, but after ruining my daughter's 7th birthday, I vow I will never spend another $1 or waste another minute in any Toys R Us locations. The experience I encountered was at the Hayward, CA location when I was at the counter with my money out to spend $200, all I wanted was a bike and accessories for my 7 year old. I brought the ticket to the cashier, she said they only have 2 bikes left and those were the display models, which cost $15 extra (because they're pre-assembled & very dirty). I didn't want a pre-assembled bike, I don't mind taking 15 minutes to put it together myself.
Mind you, there were about 30 tickets in the pocket attached to the bike, so I'm thinking there are many available, isn't that what it means? If there are only 2 bikes left, why are there so many tickets attached to the bike, it doesn't make sense. So I had the feeling that since it was closing time, they were being very lazy not wanting to get it from the back, so basically, they want to charge me an extra $15 for a dirty bike and worse, their laziness. I walked out of there without spending a penny and my birthday girl's broken heart. I'll take my money to Walmart or Costco where it's wanted. I just can't believe I had the money ready and they sold me out of the sale, unbelievable. I spend each day on the phone providing exceptional service to people that are not ready to spend their money, but understand I am providing reasons why they should.

My grandson got the "back to school bus" for his birthday yesterday. It says on the box, to push down and it makes sounds but it doesn't. The arms that are supposed to make each guy look different broke the first time he played with it. He just turned 2 years old, and he was disappointed. I was very disappointed. What a piece of junk. It was bought at Toys R US, and of course they wouldn't exchange it.

Several months ago, I saw a convertible crib on the Toys R Us website. I was interested in purchasing this crib and asked 3 employees online whether or not the toddler rail was included. I was told yes by all three employees, so I went to my local store and put it on layaway. I paid on my purchase, picked it up and discovered that in fact no toddler rail was included with this crib. I contacted Toys R Us online and was told to call them, which I did. The person I spoke with basically confirmed that it was not included and that it was a special order item that I would have to pay an additional $100+ to get.
I have repeatedly asked that I get a gift card or some type of coupon to offset the cost of the toddler rail for this bed. It is a purchase I would not have made if the information I was given was not incorrect to begin with. I am concerned about this selling practice and false advertising. I have been trying to get a response from Toys R Us customer service through their online contact form, but have been repeatedly ignored. This issue started in January 2011 upon the pick up and assembly of my child's bed and has still not been resolved.
Product_Or_Service: Carter's Sleep Haven 4-in-1 Lifetime Crib-Chocolate requested that they provide the rail free of charge due to their misrepresentation of the product. Response from Toys R Us: Please be advised we are unable to accommodate the consumer's request. Our lifetime cribs are advertised both in print and online without conversion kits or bed-rails. These are separate accessories and are considered special order. We have documentation where we have emailed the guest advising her that these items are not included and advising her to check with her local store or the manufacturer directly to procure the parts in question.
And my retort: I have several emails exchanged between myself and Toys R Us regarding this issue. I will provide them upon request as they exceed the character count max for this website. Online item description was changed after I purchased the crib and was told by Toys R Us employees that not only did it come with the railing, but that the railing was not necessary to convert it to a toddler bed. I have emails that show this.I complained through the Toys R Us website on February 9, 2011 about the item description online not stating that the rails are not included. I have documentation of that as well.
My last contact with them other than the BBB complaint was May 30. They had stopped responding to my emails, and when I did go to a local store, the person I finally got to help me had no idea how to go about ordering the toddler rail, got nasty with me and told me I had to go to Babies R Us. No apology, just bad attitude. Also, when I called their customer service line, they were not very helpful and in fact had to try and find the item number because it's something they were unfamiliar with. I had to explain to this guy that they were not included as well.

I have a pink corvette for my daughter. As soon as I got this, we started having issues with it but we thought it was the battery. Now, we took it out to use it and the battery doesn't work. We only used this car a couple times so the battery is new, but it does not work. Then, we also have a problem with the electronic in the turning of the tires. This makes a funny noise and gets hot after a little bit.

I purchased a Barbie CD Player for my three-year-old granddaughter for Christmas. The player had a noise like there was a short somewhere, therefore, she could not even use it. I returned it to Toys R Us in Jackson, Tennessee and found out that they would not refund my money even though I had my receipt.
I was only wanting to exchange for another but they did not have it in stock or anything near like it. I would have liked to have my money refunded so that I could possibly get one somewhere else, because they did not have any, only to find out that all I could get was a credit only to be used at Toys R Us.
Now, I am stuck with a $55.00 credit at Toys R Us and no CD player for my granddaughter. Needless to say, I will not purchase there again.

On Christmas Evening, 24th Dec 2010, I brought a Guitar Hero (Warriors of Rock) from Toys R Us for our daughter for about $179.00 plus taxes. On Christmas morning, she opened it and she did not like it. We tried to return it immediately next day morning but they did not take it back.

I bought my 8-year old a Disney Flix video camcorder and it is a 2007 model. We are in 2010. Can they sell outdated stuff?

My husband purchased a product made only by Toys R Us. The box proudly and colorfully displayed that it was a Toy R Us exclusive. I accidentally left my receipt at home when I needed to return it. I figured considering that it was obvious that it was a Toys R Us product as they actually built it into the packaging that I would have no trouble returning it. I was frustrated to find I was wrong. Toys R Us would not take back their own product without a receipt. It didn't matter that it came from Toys R Us. It didn't matter what I said.
No receipt equals no return. What I think Toys R Us should seriously consider is that every competing retail company has adapted a liberal return policy. By no means do I believe any retailer should take returns lightly but come on, this has your name on the product. This product by the way was "new to the market". I will attempt to purchase my products from the retailers that have more liberal return policies. I am by nature a pack rat and have my receipts, trust me. It's that I would rather support a retailer that want to make every attempt to make life easier for their customers.

I went to the store, purchased the Belle doll, and spent the amount required to get the free Wardrobe. After making the purchase, I was told that they were out of stock. They told me to try the other Toys R Us around the area which I did but nobody had them. When I finally did locate one, they told me the offer was no longer good. I paid the price because this was the top of the list gift my daughter wanted and because I've been very busy with Christmas, I put this issue on the back burner. Now that I've found other's to have the same problem, I'm moving forward with this. If I get no results, I'll bring it to the media. Every person I tried to get help from just passed me on to the next person. I ask that you please help me resolve this so I can put close to the issue. Thank you.

Don't ever ever buy electronic item from Toys R Us unless you are 100 % sure you want to keep it. When I was ready to purchase the iPod Touch 4th generation last month, I asked the worker at the cashier what was the return policy for the iPod. He said, "Just return it within 45 days." I was happy with the policy so I purchased the iPod.
Today, I took it back to Toys R Us and tried to return it with the receipt and everything in the box but the manager refused to return it. She said that the item had to be returned in an unopened box and she pointed at the back of the receipt in fine print. That was the first time I read about the policy. I told her I would never have bought the item had the worker told me that the item had to be returned in an unopened box within 45 days when first inquiring about the return policy.
He never mentioned about the item has to be unopened in order to return! This is deceiving! I trusted what the worker said about the return policy. He omitted the most important information about the electronic return policy. He tricked me and I was deceived! What kind of return policy is this that you can never open the product to see how it works before you can decide if you want to return it? What an unethical company! They tricked and deceived customers.
I would have bought my iPod from Wal-Mart or Target where they do not have this kind of ridiculous policy. I bought two iPods from Toys R Us and I realized that one is sufficient for my family. But now I am stuck with both of them. I learned a big and expensive lesson from this. I would never, never ever buy another electronic from Toys R Us and I hope you do too.

Toys R Us advertised a new Ghostbusters collector set. I went into the store in Flint, MI, they did not have it. I went online to order the set. I could not find the set. So I called their 1-800 number, they did not have the item listed anywhere. No one could tell me where I could find the item that was only sold at Toys R Us. I really don't think they carry the item.

I went into toys r us because there was a sale for Friday and Saturday. I looked into the sales book "the great big Christmas book" on pg.45. I choose to buy my granddaughter the moxie girlz. I brought three items Moxie Magic Snow RC Car @24.99 #**/ Moxie Boyz Magic Snow @14.99 #**/ Moxie Magic Snow doll @14.99 #**. I asked a sales person on the floor can they please now give me my free child-sized moon chair #247194. I had three sales employees helping trying to find this chair, on the computer its telling them there's 20 chairs but the problem was they did not know where it was. I get to the register and spoke to manager and he tells me there's no more, but wait a minute I was told there's 20 chairs.
Then the manager says, oh I believe we sold the last one.. oh no that's right they were discontinued. I am really disappointed in what happened here. It's advertised toys r us will give you a free moon chair but mean while I would say that's false advertisement if you don't have the merchandise in stock. What's going on. I really wanted to get my grand daughter the chair. Maybe you can look into this matter because I really don't believe that this. item is discontinued! The bar code to my receipt is #**. I really want to give this to my granddaughter for Christmas. Thank you.

Product: True Heroes - military figure two pack (ages 3+). On pack of packaging, it states: "Warning: contains lead, may be harmful if eaten or chewed, may generate dust containing lead." I bought this toy for my 3 year old grandson. I thought any toy with lead was illegal.

Went to the store today on my lunch break and bought a laptop computer. Paid 260 for it. Brought it home, hooked it up and it would not work, boxed it up, took it back and was told I could not get a refund.
The receipt states nothing about this rip off policy and I was not told this at the checkout. I had bought the last one and had no choice but to get another brand. I am unhappy because that brand is not my choice and I feel like I give them working money for a working computer and I should have left with exactly what I paid for and not something else as a substitute or at least my money.
I called customer service and told them that I felt like I was trapped and he told me that all store operate like this. That is a lie, had I took my money to Wal-Mart this would not be an issue. That was the very first purchase I have ever made at Toy r us and that is the very last. I feel like if someone comes into that store and hands you over cash money, the least you could do is make sure they have what they want. I am told that someone will contact me in 7 business day but as for a computer until then, I am stuck.
I will either have to use the one they gave me in exchange or just suck it up. That is not right at all. I can understand if I had use the computer for days and then decided oh it's broken, I want my money. How could you know if something is going to work before you open it. Makes no sense at all.Break the seal and it's yours forever. What? Why? How? Why didn't you tell me that before I gave you my money. I promise I would have left that store so fast and never went back because that is unfair and so shady. I am very upset. I work hard for my money and I cannot afford to just give it to someone for goods I really do not want because they have failed me.
I want something done about it and I feel like 7 days of waiting to be answered is far too long. Give me money for the 7 days til someone calls me back. How about that policy. Toys R Us, I am upset and I want this fixed! Attorneys please contact me. I am highly upset with and stuck with this laptop that I did not choose!

My father purchased the dream baby gate for me in January 2010 for my new apartment. This gate was to be used for my cat's to be left in the kitchen while I was at work. However, the past several months I have noticed the baby gate is not locking each time it closes. It will either swing all the way open or not lock.
The reason for this letter is because I believe that you should be aware that this is not a safety gate for pets or children. I was closing the door to the kitchen on my way to work and my ca's leg got caught in the gate. This occurred on the 7th of October. I needed to take my cat, Prince, to the emergency vet which noticed 3 fractures and a broken bone on his back right leg. He needed to then go back on the 15th of October to have the splint re-wrapped. At the vet, we were hoping that the 3 fractures and bone would possibly heal with a splint and minimal activity. Unfortunately, on Friday the 22nd after doing the x-rays, the bone has not healed and the only other option is amputation.
I have spent over $2,200.00 in pet care. This is not only a financial hardship, but also an emotional one. He is only 4 years old. Yes, he is young but seeing an animal that is now not going to be the same is very hard to comprehend. I am sending photos of the gate, as well as photos of my cat to you showing the impact that it has had on Prince and my family. I also will be sending you back the gate for you to look at for any defects.
I would appreciate some sort of re-reimbursement financially. However, being such an animal lover, money can never change the fact that Prince will never be the same.
I am also going to notify Consumer Products Safety Commission regarding this issue. This may not be a child injury, but it could have been and for my peace of mind and for Prince. I would appreciate it if you would contact me regarding this matter.
Your immediate attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I was under the impression that the toys manufactured in China containing lead had been recalled. I took my child shopping to buy a special toy and she picked out the Animal Planet Shark and Whale Set. She got home so excited! We opened up and noticed that it had a peculiar 'smell'. I read the box to see if it might tell me why. That's when I saw the label! This toy contains lead which is harmful. It may also create a dust which is also harmful.
I couldn't get the toys back in the box fast enough! Toys R Us has lost a very loyal customer if this continues. I can't imagine the number of parents out shopping for birthday presents, Christmas presents, etc that are going to read the back of every toy to check for such a label. Why are they being allowed to sell these products? Even if they are allowed, why would they want to push tainted toys off to the children of America?!

I bought a yellow Corvette in late 2008. When put in high gear, it would only run a few seconds and get hot. The wiring would get hot. It only worked in low. I got a new battery and still there was no difference. I couldn't get parts or anything for it. It has never worked right. I was never informed on recall.

I went to Toy "R" Us on Bay Parkway and purchased a pink whisper buggy. This was supposed to be an Easter present. One of the main parts was missing. I could not give it to my granddaughter for Easter. The next day, I brought it back and they said this is happening a lot. They had none in stock so I went to the Toys "R" Us on 2875 Flatbush Avenue. I purchased the buggy and paid to have it put together. I feel I should be compensated for this error. At least I should not have to pay the fee for assembly.

Toys R Us representatives were extremely helpful in arranging for our return of the EyeClops Mini Projector by JAKKS Pacific Inc. I ordered this Christmas gift online after seeing it advertised on TV. We tried to use the unit last night with friends. We planned to project computer images about a vacation we were scheduled to take. The "pamphlet" of instructions was extremely sketchy. It does not give complete info as to how to set up the projector and to make the projection light come on.
Since it is indicated for use by children "with adult supervision", it was surprising that it took 2 teachers with Masters and PhD degrees to finally forget the instructions and to do what they would have done without the instructions. The projector claims to project up to a 60" image. It does, but you can't tell what it is. There was no distance, kind of surface, or degree of darkness that we ever achieved that would even begin to show a clear, readable image. It says to use the projector in dark environments, but as dark as it was in our living room in the middle of the country with no street lights, or neighbors and no lights on in the room, it must take a cave in the middle of the desert to produce any kind of viewable image.
We had hoped our kids could use it with their XBox game systems and video games as well as for family movies, but this product doesn't come close to anything that is usable. We are returning it to Toys R Us for a refund. I wanted your company to know that you might not want to represent trying to sell this flop of a product. I also suggest that you might want to try it out for yourself and see if it comes close to its advertised claim. I am also sending a letter of complaint directly to JAKKS Pacific Inc. to let them know how disappointed we were with their product. My comments above are to alert Toys R Us to our discontent with a product being marketed by [their] company, in which, I have always had the utmost confidence concerning quality.

Last night I was in Toys R Us to buy additional gifts for my niece and nephew for Christmas and was outraged at what I saw.
Ive bought many Barbie dolls over the years. I especially like the collector Barbie dolls and occasionally still buy one. My favorite is The Lucy Doll at the Ballet Bar truly a classic.
While waiting on line to return some items I noticed the new collection The Black Collection. One in particular had me quite upset I believe it was your Model No. 10. There were several dolls on the shelf with different outfits but this one had on a dress with a v-neck opened down exposing an unbelievable amount of cleavage. Actually, it was much worse than that.
At first, I thought it was just my view (being on the conservative side), but just behind me were several other women, and men, some with younger children all expressing the same concern I write about here. Whats the purpose of that; can you believe this doll; who would buy such a doll and even (the most important one) was what kind of message is this delivering? These are all legitimate concerns and reasons why I feel that doll should be removed not only from the stores, but from the Barbie line.
For so many reasons, I am very happy my own daughter is now an adult. After seeing this doll I realize how difficult it is today for little girls to be - little girls.
People are entitled to dress however they like, but I feel we have a right to protect our children and not expose them to this at such a young age. I realize the world isnt a perfect place but I would like to keep little girls from playing dress up like that.

Then I tracked down the receipt from the out of state friend and tried to return it to Toys R' Us. They would not accept the 'lemon' that they sold. They kept making excuses and didn't want to accept responsibility for the products they sell. My wife called Toys R'Us corporate and was greeted by a very rude rep who again kept playing the blame game with the manufacturer. At the end of the day, I still have a pink corvette that's [worthless] and no one at toys r us will do anything about it. Can anyone help?
