my mother in law bought a baby swing from wal mart made by graco the reg. no. is pa-24833. the weighted ball that dangles above the seat of the swing fell off while my 3 month old daughter was swinging in it and hit her in the head and right eye.
i couldn't take a picture because she wouldn't sit still long enough but it created a bloody red spot on the upper part of the white of her right eye.
When our 8-month-old 17.5 pound baby was put into the swing last night, the bottom broke out. The baby flew out 2.5 feet and landed on her head on tile floor. Mild concussion only, no fractures per ER MD last night.

I bought the Cradle Swing made by Graco, for my daughter who is 3 months old. I put her in the swing to sooth her, later when I picked her up, I found a screw in her seat. The screw came from the bar right over her head that holds the seat on to the swing.
After I related this to my babysitter she informed me that the screw had fallen out two other times and replaced only to fall out again.The thought that she could have put it into her mouth frightens me.
