Gerber

Sandra of Portland OR (02/21/07)
I too was told that the Gerber Company was giving away savings bonds, this from my childrens doctor & again by the WIC office. Now tell me how doctors and WIC offices got incorrect information? And passed it along to unsuspecting parents. So someone scammed unsuspecting inpoverished parents out of private information, who only had the welfare of their children in mind. That is very mean and sick if you ask me. And when gerber found this out why was there not a rebuttal nor a federal investigation or investigation done? I do have the address and my request was returned when I inquired as to the where abouts of the savings bonds.

My wife found an apperently cooked maggot in the bowl of pasta pick ups we fed our son. This was over a week ago and we have not recieved the pre-paid postage to send it back yet. It seems to me the longer it sits in my fridge the worse the condition of the food. Now I wonder if I should send it back at all. Will I give up any rights legally?

I was and still am outraged that this happened and at the slow response to send out the return postage so this can be checked in their lab. How do they know there are not any other bowls of food out there with maggots in them?. It did not cause any illness to my son (thankfully) but it is a terrible thing to see in your child's food. We have not and will not use the product again.

Elsie of Valley Mills, TX June 15, 2006

Elsie of Valley Mills TX (06/15/06)
I have spent a lot of money on Gerber baby bottles and nipples. After one or two uses the nipples start to squirt out the formula rapidly and causes my baby to get too much food and sometimes coughs from the rapid release of milk. These are slow flow nipples and cost 4-5 dollars for two of them.

I am very mad about this and don't enjoy running around my kitchen trying to find a nipple that wont drown my baby in milk, while he is screaming his head off cause he is hungry. I wish i could find a decent brand of nipples for my baby, I guess I'll just keep looking, but they wont be getting any more of my money.

Chante' of Martinez, GA May 25, 2006

Chante of Martinez GA (05/25/06)
I went to pick my 9 month old daughter up from daycare and one of the teachers told me that there was a stick in the baby food jar. I later remembered that the night before I was feeding her from the same jar and she was choking and gaging on something I thought I might have fed her too much too fast and so I gave her a chance to try and cough it up herself but it seemed she was struggling so I yanked her out of her walker and put her over my knee trying to get her to spit it out and finally when I got it out of her throat I noticed it wasn't food.

I was confused as to how she got it in her mouth. She didn't want any more after that so I gave her a bottle. I still have the jar of baby food. I am very upset at this especially now knowing what caused her to choke.
