My 1-year-old boy was playing with the Shape Cookie jar toy. He was able to put his hand through the holds and it became really stuck. He was screaming in pain. I couldn't get his hand out. I had to get my husband to try pull his hand out which was all swollen and sore. I'm really upset with this toy. It really needs to be much bigger; the holds should allow babies' hands to come out easily. The toy cost a lot of money too. But I'm too nervous to let my son play with it now.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews
Fisher Price makes a lot of toys. Maybe it's not surprising some of those toys and other products turn out to have problems ranging from minor to serious but many parents we hear from think the company could do a better job of dealing with the problems.
Besides the complaints in this section, be sure to check our Recalls Section for last-minute recalls.

Digital Arts & Craft Studio: My Digital Arts & Craft console is not being recognized by my PC. Please advise.

Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Music Station - I bought this toy for my grand-daughter for her first birthday. Periodically, it would continually repeat itself when you turned it from the music to the learning button. Then the animals on top stopped working... like it had a short in it. I'm really angry that I spent $50 on this toy for nothing! I don't think I should have to buy extra coverage in case a toy doesn't work! How about making toys to last? I want my money back! I think it's crap that I'm out $50 and my granddaughter is out a toy she loved!

I wish to inform you that our digital arts and crafts studio doesn't work. After a couple of attempts to install, it says contact consumer complaints. Can you please advise the next step?

I'd like to complain that I can't find an address to congratulate you on an amazing Fisher Price printer's kit I bought in Libya circa 1978. In its original box, I opened it for my grandchildren and found it as good as new with printers ink still in the bottle. Congratulations, I'd like to tell the world!

My daughter received a rattling baby doll for her birthday and I have to ask, "Were they thinking when they created this doll?" Why would you place a rattle inside the head of a baby doll? She shakes the baby, literally! I am uncomfortable letting her play with it.

My little 15-month daughter got a Dora Mermaid doll and it didn't work at all. The head was too big and it sunk. The flipper didn't move at all unless I brought it out of the water fully! It simply is not the product that your company portrays and I would like a full refund on this product due to the fact that it does not do what your company claims this product will provide for our children. This was a gift given to my daughter over the weekend. I will not hesitate to proceed with consequences if this minor issue is not resolved.

I have The Digital Arts and Crafts Studio and it says my console was not found. So I tried to hook it up a second time and it told me to contact consumer affairs. I am just wondering what I needed to do to fix the problem. Thank You.

I have bought my daughter a Little Mommy Doll for the last three Christmas and the high end kind, the one that walks and the baby that takes her finger and asks as if shes moving them on her lips to make the brrrr sound. But this year, I am highly upset because the Little Mommy My Very Real Baby does not come in African American skin tone and that is not fair to my daughter. I think it is wrong to leave African American out of this very special doll. My daughter just won't get one because it's not in her image and I want her to have a positive image of herself. She can't change who she is.

We received a fisher price baby swing as a gift in August 2011 it quit swinging in October 2011.

I bought an iXL with two games. It's for Christmas and I decided to go ahead and play with it and the screen doesn't work. I would love to get my child another one since this is really the only thing he asked for.

What is Disney and Fisher Price doing to the prices; they are asking for a toy are you kidding me $350.00 and I have seen it even go to $369.00. It's a rocket that makes sounds with four little plastic characters. I went on eBay and there are people trying to get $100.00 or more for used, are you kidding me.
Parents stop buying these toys at such a rip-off price and they will go down, but if you keep buying them at those ridiculous prices, they will never stop! It cost them penny to make. My grandson will grow out of this Einstein before I put my hard-working money for couple pieces of plastic. An X-box is not even that expensive. I would be embarrassed to tell people that I put out that kind of money for a Rocket and four little plastic characters.
Disney and Fisher Price, shame on you!

I purchased a Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo Cradle 'n Swing priced at $119 from Walmart. My son is only three months old, and the motor is tying up and making all sorts of loud noises which makes it hard for him to get a good nap in it. A swing that expensive should last a lot longer than that. I would not recommend this swing to anybody.

My son has the Rainforest Jumperoo, and he has jumped that thing to death without incident. After reading many of the complaints here, one of the problems may be with the assembly. If you put it together incorrectly, of course something is going to happen. Not a single one of the complaints listed has happened to my Jumperoo.

My 14-month-old granddaughter has a Peek-a-Blocks IncrediBlock. The top part spins as she was playing with it and then she started screaming and crying hysterically. Immediately, I got off my couch to figure out what was wrong. Her finger was stuck in the side of the toy. While spinning, it's very flimsy and a child's finger can get stuck. I think you should look into this problem.
I would like it to be credited or exchanged for another toy. It's been six months or longer since we bought it and I do not have the receipt anymore. Your attention on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm by all means not a perfect parent. But I must make a complaint about all of these misfortunes to these innocent children. It is in my opinion that 10-20 years ago, you'd never hear of such terrible things. It was because most toys were made much sturdier, and a lot less cheaply made. And there are no frivolous law suits. To some parents, they wait for these things to happen just so they can collect money. Parents put their children/child in danger by not paying attention to them. Thus, they are allowing these terrible things to happen in the first place! I am not at all implying that I am the perfect parent. But maybe you need to be paying more attention to your children! I go out to eat and I see children get hurt because careless parents allow their child to run around and stand on furniture in a crowded restaurant or store! Please keep your eye on your little ones. They look up to you.

I bought the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Workbench for my eight month old and while playing with this, toy he got his finger jammed behind the purple music note on the front of it. Needless to say, he cried his eyes out and took me almost two minutes to get his finger out of there. No major injury but his finger was all purple with a big indentation that lasted a couple hours. I thought that a major toy company like Fisher Price would product test its products better than this!

We have had the Go Baby, Go! Musical Jungle out for our daughter, who is currently 13 months old, for a few months now with no problems until last night. The toy is a sturdy semi circle. From left to right it has an elephant with holes in both ears and one in it's trunk for balls to pass through, a monkey with a round slide in the middle that plays music when you move the monkey's arms, and a hippo on the right to store the balls this item comes with. As usual, my daughter was in her room playing last night when she started crying.
When I went to check on her, I noticed she put her left arm through the right ear of the elephant with her hand visible through the hole in the trunk. I attempted to pull her arm back out once before calling to my fianc who is a police officer for his help. He wanted to attempt to take the toy apart but he was unable to because it would involve turning the entire thing over and that could have cause serious injury to our daughter. Instead, we had to very slowly pull and turn at our daughter and her arm to get her unstuck. Luckily, there was no serious injury but there is no warning on the packaging about potential hazards of small holes and small body parts.

I purchased an Open Top Take Along Swing by Fisher Price for my 2 month old daughter. Now at 4 months, when taking her out of the swing, the plastic leaf with pointed ends holding the toys slung back and hit my daughter in her eye.

Please help me! Thank you.

I have twins and I by several Fisher-Price items and there are two that I quit, unhappy with. I'll start with the most problematic purchase. I purchased the Fisher-Price Rainforest bouncer. It is the vibrating chair with the monkey and parrot hanging over that they kick or hit it also has a waterfall and a frog and monkey that move up and down. I put my daughter in it today and as I was putting her in it her foot got stuck in the loop where the parrot perches and it took me what seemed like an eternity to get it out.
If I had not seen that her foot had become stuck in it the bouncer would have broken her ankle. This is dangerous for infants and needs to be corrected. I looked over the entire bouncer and there were no warnings about any danger of over body Mobile type device. There are warnings for the following: Fall hazard on elevated surfaces, Suffocation on soft surface, use restraint system, do not leave unattended, do not use as a car seat, do not use for child able to sit up, never use bar as a handle, never use as carrier or lift while child is seated.
This is a big concern for me and I paid a lot of money for the bouncer. I am afraid to use it and I would like to speak to someone about refunding my money or replace it with a bouncer that is similar to it. Most items I have bought for all four of my children are Fisher-Price. I feel that the quality of Fisher-Price items were very good up until now.

I purchased a new motorhome in 2007 built by Tiffin Motorhomes in Red Bay, AL. The dishwasher was furnished but has not worked very well since it was purchased. The door has to be pushed against to lock and begin the wash cycle. When I complained, the factory sent a technician and all he did was look at the machine. He determined that since it was installed in a motorhome, the vibrations probably caused the problem and there was nothing he could do about it. As time goes on, and when I try to use the machine, I think that something could be done. The consequences is that I purchased the unit in good faith but have gotten no service.

I purchased a Fisher Price Little People Happy Sounds Home for a two year old. On the front of the box it says "5 fun sounds and a tune!" Also on the front of the box is a picture of a little girl playing with this toy and above the toy are three musical notes, indicating that the music is coming from the toy. I knew her favorite feature of this toy would be the music.
I gave her the toy the other day and we found the five fun sounds, just as described. However, there is no tune, no music. I was very disappointed yet I could not take it back from her.
I contacted Fisher Price and the woman in customer service told me this must have been "put on the box before it was totally manufactured!" She was also surprised about this and offered me a $5 voucher.
This is absolutely ridiculous. This is definitely false advertising. I would think they know that we adults do not try out the toy first to make sure it is as described on the box before giving it to a child. I'm sure they also know that after the child opens it that it is too late to take it back.
There are many toys on the market today for a consumer to chose from and I do not think it right that a reputable company like Fisher Price be able to draw customers through deceit. Thank you for allowing me to explain!

I bought Fisher Price Day and Night diapers in Wal-Mart and when I started to use it my baby had very bad rash like burning. I don't know what to do I think Wal-Mart cannot return my money back.

I bought my daughter a Fisher Price Barbie Power wheels ride on for her birthday May,2010. After applying all of the stickers, and charging the battery, my daughter was ready to ride, but the steering wheel keeps coming out every time she tries to turn. I spent $140 for this car that has never worked properly. K-Mart said that they could not take the car back, because the stickers had already been applied to the car, so I would need to send it to its manufacturer. I will never buy another Fisher Price item for my daughter if this matter is not corrected, before she is too big for the car. I don't allow her to ride on the toy because it is not safe without a steering wheel.

I am a single mom of 3, and had my last baby 10 weeks ago . I went to Argos and brought a fisher price bouncer chair for my daughter, which took me 5 weeks to save up for . When I got home, I put it together. She has been using it for a week now, and it all keeps coming loose, and today, it collapsed with her in it . I want the product collected and a full refund . I feel I can not trust putting my daughter in any chair again, but being a single mom and having 3 kids to look after, I need a chair to use to put her in from time to time, and know she is safe.

I just purchased the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Vacuum for my daughter. On the Fisher Price website, it shows 2 pictures: one of a boy holding the vacuum and another one of the vacuum standing upright. After taking it out of the box and putting it together, I found out that it does not stand up on its own. The picture they have on their website is false advertising. I wouldn't have purchased this product had I known it didn't stand up on its own. It always falls to the floor and is very hard to store. I am very disappointed.

I purchased Fisher Price - Precious Planet Toss N' Play Friends Bath Toy. My baby has no teeth, just gums. She has played with the hippo a handful of times and I just noticed the white paint off of it. She must have gummed it and it came off. I am so afraid that she has ingested something toxic now. I would like confirmation that there is no possible way for there to be toxic chemicals on the toy, like lead. Everything coming from China today makes me worry. I would also like to mail it back to you for testing and also get a voucher for another toy.

I just recently bought a Fisher Price outside plastic picnic table with the matching umbrella and when I opened the box, the umbrella was all torn up. It has little tears in 4 different places. I can tell that it wasn't a return to the store as it was still in the original plastic sealed. I would like a new one since I did in fact pay for it.

I have the fisher price aquarium bouncer and my 4 month old daughter's foot has gotten stuck twice in the wind mill thing on the bottom of the seahorse. This is a major pinch point and I had to tape it so she doesn't get hurt anymore. I too at one point had the wind mill thing off but the edges were too sharp so I had to reattach it. I'm just very disappointed!

I bought a Happy Sounds Home for my daughter's first birthday. On the box, it states that there are 5 sounds and a tune. We paid $39.99 for this product. We were quite disappointed when there were only four sounds and no tune. I called Fisher Price and they said they would document this. False advertising?!

I got the power wheel Kawasaki red brute force for my son for his 3rd birthday he is now 5 years old. He got to ride it one time they said it striped the gears in it. I took it to a repair shop in Bloomington, Indiana. They called and said they fixed it but they didn't because when I got it home it was still doing the same thing so I took it back and called power wheels. They told me they would be in touch with me but they never did. I called today 6-11-2010 and they told me it was still not ready. I just want my money back. He is too big for it now and I am so mad about the problem. I am tired of dealing with it.

I got the little Superstar Jammin' Band for my seventh-month old son and I paid $50 for it. Come to find out there was some very sharp parts on this toy that should not be there. I don't have my receipt anymore so I can't take it back. All they can do is give me another one. Well, I don't want another one because my son got all scraped up. I will never buy another toy from Fisher Price again. I want my money back now. We can do this easy and I can just get my money or I can get a attorney. Thank you. Hope to hear from you soon.

Placed grandchild in swing. Soon after notice baby's head leaning side ways with head caught between bar on swing and back leg of swing. Repositioned. security seat belt. Placed towel to baby's shoulder. The next thing I knew her head was between bar and leg of swing again. This is a very dangerous type swing that can allow a baby's head to be injured so easily. Minor injury to head but only because I was close by at all times. What if I had taken my eyes off the baby. There could have been a serious injury.

I bought the rainforest melodies and lights playmate for my new baby. It is my second child and the one I had been kind of beat up. This one had good reviews and was from Fisher Price so I bought it. My daughter is currently 4 1/2 months old. She is large for her age but, I discovered today that one of the toys dangling from this mat is not very safe.
The piece I speak of has a parrot on it with a light blue piece that hands and can spin. My daughter moved herself to an angle that place one of the thin spin pieces in her mouth. As it dangled, she was unable to move it away from her mouth and she nearly choked. I was in the room talking to my other son, when I realized what was happening. Within one minute, she was beat red, eyes tearing and unable to catch her breath as I picked her up from under the hazardous piece. I truly feel this is reason to recall this item. Try it, this piece dangling at a height that would allow it to jam into an infant's mouth. It was very scary and this is not safe at all.

I bought the Kid-Tough digital camera from Fisher Price for my daughter for Christmas in 2008. I understand that that was a year and a half ago, but the advertisement says it's "built to survive drop after drop after drop". Three months after I bought it, the batteries died so I replaced them and then it wouldn't turn on. And now, we've let it "sleep" for a year and replaced the batteries again and it still won't work! It turns on long enough to make the noise and then it goes blank. This is crap! Kid-Tough my **!

I got a Fisher-Price car seat (Part# 4425688, Model# 79700).The clip that the steel prongs go into cracked and I no longer feel that it is safe. Can this be fixed or do I need to replace the whole seat? I use it for my grandson who just turned two. Thank you for any input on this situation.

I emailed them back in early January about getting a part to fix the side of the crib that does not lock. To date they have not sent the part. I have lost the contact information and need it to contact them again. This is much too long to get a small part.

I have a 6 month old son. He has a rainforest "gym"; that's what we call it. Anyhow, my husband was in the living room with him while I was making dinner when I hear my husband yell. Startled, I ran into the living room to find my husband tapping on my son's back so he would stop choking on his vomit! His entire little face was covered! He had gagged himself with the little bird that attaches to the arch, the part that attaches is a 2-3 inch strap with a little piece of soft velcro on it. He was never left alone in the room and we were extremely upset! My son is fine of course. It never seemed to faze him. We do not expect anything to come of this. We just wanted to inform your company of our startling experience.

My daughter received Dora's Explorer Girls/Dora Links as a Christmas present. It was purchased at Toys R Us. No where on the package does it inform the purchaser that it involves a 5-7 hour download and if you have McAfee you will need to call them personally to lower your security in order to input the necessary data. The doll comes with a CD rom and a phone number. All it says with the inserted material is that you will need Windows XP or Vista and a few other requirements.
After trying to download this for 6 hours I finally called Mattel. I was informed that there was a situation when printing that did not allow them to print some missing information like I stated above on the insert. This is a $50 toy. I cannot find my receipt. I asked it they could send me a voucher of some kind to reimburse me for this product so that I may give my daughter another gift in its place. They said they are not able to do so, even though they are having problems with the product and the site. This was an expensive toy. $50 plus tax. It is advertised heavily on TV and Nick Jr. websites, which my daughter plays on regularly. Santa was to bring this present to my daughter, and by returning it with a receipt they have totally ruined my 5-year old and 8-year olds' belief in him. I feel Mattel knowingly put out and heavily advertised a product that they knew had problems.

I purchased an infant toy called spinning around musical zoo. When we opened the box to put the required 3 c batteries in it, to our suprise there were already 3 batteries in it. I tried to play the toy and it did not work. I took the batteries out and noticed that the batteries were corroted and to was the battery compart. The store would not take it back because it was a manufacturers problem, and they refuse to contact me and give me a refund.

I bought a Fisher Price Doll house two months ago and found out that it is contaminated with all kinds of chemicals. What are my options? This was supposed to be a christmas present for my 3 year old daughter. I thought about selling it on ebay but my conscience does not allow that. I don't want my daughter to get cancer nor someone else's.

I purchased the Tropical Rainforest Bounce not to long, maybe about a month ago and now the light or music will not play. My son eyes lights up with excitement, so I am very dissappointed that this item does not work anymore and I barely had it. Not really thinking because I expected this item to work I threw away the box and receipt and of course I am unable to return it.

My grandaughter, 5, was given the F-P Little Mommy all-in-one nursery center today, 11/7/09 by her great- grandmother. To my great dismay, the product is very difficult to put together, with very incomplete instructions, and with flimsy design and materials. I am shocked, as one who had collected F-P toys 20 years ago to find the quality of this set so poor. My grandaughter uses the F-P table and chairs that were bought for her mother 20 years ago. This is not going to be one of those toys that one will want to hold on to. I am thoroughly disapponted in F-P and the quality of this product.

I must say it is not one incident of tripping but multiple people tripped. My MOnther inlaw actually got her little tow brussed baddly as it got caught between the metal rod.
My suggestion is please do not buy this item, we are stuck with it.

When I called F-P today (8/18/09) they said that they had not mailed my refund as they were waiting for my OK! I still disagreed with their partial refund as even if I had only sent in 3 of the 4 panels, I had destroyed the play yard. They blamed the US government and said that they will send my check for $75 within 2 weeks now. I am unable to replace the play yard for the refund that they are sending me. It certainly does not seem fair to me.

I recently purchased a Fisher Price Rainforest Peek-a-boo Waterfall Soother. My baby really likes this item, unfortunatly I have found the batteries do not last longer than a week. After talking with others who have purchased this item I realized the soother I purchased is defective.

I have an 8-month-old boy at home and I brought him to the kitchen with me so I could get the dishes done! Within seconds of my son being in the chair, I saw him flip the thing over and smash his face on the ceramic tile of our kitchen floor, leading to a very cranky baby and a bruise on his nose. I had a 100 people at my baby shower and almost everything I registered for was Fisher Price! I was very angry that this could happen when it's not supposed too! I immediately disassembled the product and put it in storage. I couldn't believe such a thing could happen to such a small baby!
I purchased it from Babies R Us, and I am thinking twice about buying any more Fisher Price products! If there is anything you could do to help me deal with this, would be greatly appreciated. Concerned mom! The ID number on the back of the chair is 00975-1013.

The Fisher Price pretty purple bouncer has thin metal legs that stick out far in front and to the sides of the seat, Yesterday(05/10/09) I got my toes stuck in one of these legs while I was walking away from it and holding my 4 1/2 month old daughter and I fell and she fell out of my arms and cracked her head on the floor and now has a skull fracture.

I just wanted to share what Fisher Price told me. I have a Laugh and Learn Chair that was recalled. They say they have met Consumer Affairs requirements. The piece they sent to fix this chair is no more safr then what it was. The piece sets in front of chair which pinches my Grandaughter. Maybe she wont'get strangled but the part for repair is a joke and I just don't understand how it could have been approved to be fit.I have a picture showing the gap still in chair, that shows it is not safe at all.
Fisher Price says they met consumer affairs guidelines to fix it. BULL it is no good the way it is. They are sending me a refund but I have to pay shipping, since they are abidding by your okay to replacement part. I just don't believe it should have been approved. Problem fixed for strangling, but not being pinched or getting stuck by gap in chair. It is only about 1/2 but still unsafe. As a consumer I am not happy at all. I think it needs to be looked at again! She will be Three this August, I purchased it for her 1st Birthday, which would have been, 2006. Fisher Price said they were recalled in 2005. So why was Toys R Us even selling it. I still have receipt showing purchase.
My Grandaughter was pinched severely, caused a big blood blister. Hurt her, she is only two years old.

Several months ago my husband and I bought a Fisher-Price Rainforest play-yard. Last month I was looking at BabyCenter.com's recall webpage and noticed that this play-yard had been recalled for safety reasons, so I contacted Fisher-Price immediately as they article recommended. They had me identify the play-yard by asking me if there were panels on the side that included 4 different logos, which it did. So they told me to cut those out and send them back to them using the pre-paid label they were going to send me via email. I received the email the next day and sent the panels back to them just a few days later. I was supposed to receive my $100 reimbursement w/in 6 weeks or so.
A couple of weeks ago, a rep. from their Cust. Rltns. dept. called me and said that I had only sent the portion of the mesh sides that had the logos on it and they needed the entire side panel, which they had not made clear to me during the call, nor in their letter (the one I received via email). They told me that instead of the $100, they would only give me $50 reimbursement if I couldn't provide them the rest of the side panels. However, at the conclusion of my initial phone call to them weeks ago, I asked what I should do with the remainder of the play-yard and they said I should discard it immediately, which I did. Now I have no recourse to get my remaining $50 due to me and even after calling Mr. N. Friedman's office (the President of Fisher-Price), they are unwilling to send me the other $50.
Mr. Friedman simply forwarded my call back to the same rep. I had already spoken to. I feel that Fisher-Price is using this miscommunication to take advantage of me and save some money. Fifty dollars will not buy me a comparable play-yard and it seems very unscrupulous that they would take advantage of a mother, a loyal customer, like that. It's not as if I'm attempting to defraud them in any way - it simply was not made clear to me during my initial phone call that I had to cut the side panels corner-to-corner in order to be eligible for my refund and as I stated earlier, their letter does not clarify that either, which they acknowledged to me.
On the other hand, they have assured themselves that I will not be using the play-yard since they have the side panels, albeit smaller sections than they'd like, indicating it could certainly not be used any longer. Basically, they cannot be held liable for any injury to my children, which was their intention in the recall. I did what I thought I was supposed to do and all I'm asking is that Fisher-Price do the right thing as well.
I am unable to replace the play-yard that I destroyed and discarded per FP's direction with a comparable one, since they gave me only half the value of their play-yards.

I received the Spinnin' Around Musical Zoo as a Christmas gift for my now 5 month old daughter. We did not open it right away but just did. Only to find out that the toy has 2 pieces that are supposed to be hedges, and I was given 2 of the same ones. I was supposed to get one that has what appears to be a hippo and maybe a butterfly and one with a lion and a zebra. The one I need has a tab on the left side that allows the hedge to lock in. It is the one with a hippo. Instead I received 2 with tabs on the right with the same pictures of a lion and a zebra.

We got the Fisher Price digital kid-tough camera, and our daughter used it for about 12 hours before it started having problems. You turn it on, than it shuts off. We changed the batteries twice, and sure enough it still doesn't work. Looked up this issue online to find countless other people complaining about the same issue. Many of them took their cameras back and exchanged them, only to find the same problem in the new camera. This toy needs to be recalled...it's way too expensive to only work for 12 hours.

it was brought to our attention that the little mommy fisher-price toy says that Islam is the light. the rest of the stuff that the doll says is just baby babble, but about the third sentence it says, at the end, islam is the light. we promptly brought the toy to customer service, but absolutly nothing was done about it. The lady just exclaimed thats interesting.
I personally felt offended that fisher-price would program their toys with that message, especially in this day of unrest and terrorism throughout the world.

I purchased a Fisher Price Medical Kit from Toysrus just before Christmas of 2008. It was the one with the green cloth bag, anyway, my son is almost three and the age requirements were from the age of 2 to 5 so I saw no issue in purchasing this item. However about a week ago he managed to get the syringe pulled apart, and it came into three parts including the spring that was obviously a choking hazard.
I went to return the item to Toyrus, wanting to exchange the item for a different one. But was approached by a sign that said all returns and exchanged must be accompanied by dated receipt. Of course I didn't have a receipt because all I bought was the medical kit and a cars sofa I didn't see the need to keep it, after talking with the manager I managed to get back some money but not what I paid for the item.

we purchased a fisher price power plus swing in december 2008 my son was born 16 november 2008 and after using the swing only a few times the music now does not play. the swing cost me 230 dollars and i think for something so expensive this is ridiculuas. i did not keep the reciept for the product which means i could not return it. im very disapointed.

I bought a fisher price smart cycle for my 4 year old grandson for christmas he used it a week and the left petal stripped. now its sitting in a room and he can not use it. Its really disappointing because i am a single mom and have little to spend and then i have this problem
the smart cycle has no left petal it wont stay on. I think the company should at least send a new petal and see if it works for the price it should work longer than a week

I received the Fisher Price Rainforest Swing as a baby shower gift on May 24th 2008. My son was Born on August 20th, 2008, we started to use the swing in mid September. In mid October I noticed that the music is soo faint that you could hardly hear it. My son has only been in this swing maybe 5 times. This swing is practically brand new and I am very disappointed at the fact that this product did not last very long.

I must say, I have never complained about a toy before. But now, I must speak about the Mickey Mouse Race Track. THis thing is such a piece of garbage. For $54, I was expecting something that at least stayed together when you played with it or moved it AN INCH. It falls apart constantly. The red tracks come apart if my son just brushes against them. The two end pieces come off, and they don't hook together all that well to begin with.
I am very disappointed with this product. My son could not wait for this, and when he finally gets it, all he does is complain that it is broken again. THe little hook that holds the cars down while you are HAND PUMPING them to go already broke off. This is the cheapest toy for the most expensive price. We are not happy.

I purchased the Fisher-Price Deluxe Auto Mirror with music and lights. I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and only have a few weeks until delivery so I decided to set up the mirror. The mirror takes three AA? batteries and the remote takes three AAA? batteries. I had the mirror with the three AAA? batteries in the babys nursery on the second floor of our home and put them in there. I had to use a Phillips screwdriver to open the door to put the batteries in.
I put them in and then screwed the battery door shut. I then tried to turn on the mirror to activate the lights and music, but nothing happened, the unit would not turn on. I tried turning up the volume thinking that was the problem, but still nothing. I then thought maybe the mirror would not work without the remote so decided to get the remote going and try it. I had the AAA? batteries in the basement, so I put the mirror down on the ottoman of my rocking chair, and the material of the ottoman is cloth, foam, and wood.
So I then went to the basement with only the remote and did the same thing, I opened the battery door with a Phillips screwdriver and put in the batteries, and as I was screwing the battery door shut I thought that maybe I put the batteries into the mirror backwards and that is why it was not working. So I then went directly back up to the nursery on the second floor and picked up the mirror and when I turned it over I noticed the door to the batteries was very hot and I could smell a burning smell.
This concerned me greatly so I ran into our garage and put the mirror on the cement floor where it could not burn anything and unscrewed the battery door. When I opened the door I noticed that the batteries were melting and the burning smell was very strong, so I opened the garage door to get the smell out. I then tried to pry the batteries out of the mirror with a screwdriver the best I could, but they were not moving very well because they were melting and it was hard to get them out. At this point I was very concerned the unit was going to catch fire so I threw it outside into our driveway. It then made a popping noise and smoke came from the unit. I waited until the smoke was gone and threw it onto my grass which is covered in snow. I figured it would not burn up there. The next morning I had my husband check to be sure the batteries were put in correctly, and they were. There was nothing I did wrong in installing the batteries that would cause this sort of reaction.
I am very lucky that I went right back to the mirror when I had it in the nursery sitting on the cloth ottoman. I fear if it would have been left there and not taken care of it could have been a serious fire hazard. I have never heard of this type of thing happening and I have certainly never seen batteries heat up to the point of melting and then exploding with smoke, this was a very frightening experience and could have had a much worse outcome had I not intervened.
I called the toy manufacturer and spoke with an operator. I told her the story and she was very apologetic and said she has not heard of any sort of issues with this product. She said they would like to look at it to see if they can assess what caused the problem, and also to alert their factory. She also offered to send me a free replacement, but I dont want to use this product ever again, so she is going to send me something similar, and something that she will test before she ships it to me. I feel like she was sincere in her response and her shock at this happening. I just hope the manufacturer takes it seriously and gets to the bottom of why this happened with my product. I feel it could have had a much worse outcome if I would not have checked the unit right away like I did. I also want my experience to be known in case it happens to someone else. Not only do I view this product as a fire hazard, but if someone were to touch the battery when it was melting it is my understanding that damage from the battery acid is extremely dangerous as well.

Simplicity makes a Rainforest-themed playard that is licensed by Fisher-Price. We received this playard as a shower present and my 13 month old daughter uses it every day for naps at her nanny-share. Today, the nanny called me and said that the side of the playard collapsed while my daughter was in it. Thankfully, she was not injured, just frightened.
I immediately called Fisher Price (I didn't yet know that the item was really created by Simplicity) to find out what to do with the item. The helpful customer service rep said that Simplicity was not returning emails and had no known phone number or mailing address. Because Fisher Price agreed to license the product, they were handling complaints about it.
They agreed to send me a postage paid mailer. When it arrives, I am supposed to cut away all of the fabric on the four sides of the playard and then mail them back to Fisher Price. Once they receive the material, they'll reimburse me for the retail price of the item, but this will take eight weeks.
All in all, this process will take about ten weeks. In the meantime, I have to hunt down a playard that my daughter can borrow until we get this money to use to buy a new playard. I asked Fisher Price if they were going to issue a recall on the item, and they said no because it wasn't technically theirs. Simplicity has also not issued a recall. This is an incredibly dangerous device that should not be sold and should be recalled.
Luckily, my daughter was not hurt. If we were not fortunate enough to have a friend with a playard that she wasn't using, we would have to front the money for a new playard and then wait for the check from Fisher Price, meanwhile incurring finance charges and interest on a credit card. The economic damage is minimal here, but the real issue is that no recall has been issued on this device.

I purchased the Fisher Price Rainforest Play Yard when my son was about a month old. I had it about 5 months and one day the sides just collapsed. My son is not old enough to pull on the sides yet but it is still dangerous. I have not seen ANY recalls for this product and I couldn't take it back to the store because I lost the receipt. I am very disappointed in this product.

My two and four year old boys were playing with the new Fisher Price Imaginext Superfriends Bat Cave when my two year old got his pointer finger caught in one of the holes in the moveable elevator. The product does state that it's appropriate for 3-8 year olds but my children have been playing with the Imaginext products for the past year without incident.
Overall the Imaginext products are good toys, they are built solid and keep the kids entertained for hours on end. This is the only incident we've had to date. However, I do think it's worth investigating whether a recall should be made on this toy due to this flaw in design. The manufacturer should redesign the elevator to prevent injuries.
We were able to extract the finger from the toy but not before it turned blue. We were fortunate that grease worked because it would have been difficult to cut the device without causing further injury to the finger. I would like to prevent other children from getting injured in a similar manner. Thank you!

I put my 8 month old in the Fisher price Link-a-doos baby to toddler chair and he sat forward and the chair fell forward too!!!!! He hit his face on the laminate floor. I am not happy at all as the chair is not supposed to do that. It has blue plastic things on it to stop it from going to forward. And its not that hes to heavy for the chair either as hes only 19lb. This chair is supposed to be for babys up to toddlers. I would like to know why it done this. Luckily my baby is ok, he only has a red bump on his head....although it is turning into a bruise now. My advice to other ppl is not to buy it!
My son has a big red bump on his head, turning into a bruise. Could of been worse!!!!

I received the papasan swing for my baby shower, my daughter is now 3 1/2 months old she pushed herself up and cracked her head on the lead pipe that holds the seat to the motor housing of the swing, i heard the bang and her screams i was devastated to see my baby in so much pain all because of a swing which cost $160, i thought buying the most expensive was buying the safest but i guess not, now i have to monitor my baby to make sure she doesnt have a slow intracranial bleed, i have to keep measuring her head. the metal bar is 1 inch from the head. i didnt realize it was a danger as a new mom

i have a swing made by fisherprice. the bars that hold the seat to the swing have a lock that does not work anymore, and the mobile and lights do not work anymore. my daughter is only 3 months old, and i am afraid to use this swing. my friend gave it to me so i have no box.

I received the fisher price rain forest bouncy seat as a gift for my newborn. My baby is now four months old. I had him in the bouncy seat and noticed blood all over his legs. When I checked him, I found that his feet above his heels were cut from the battery pack that is located at the base of the seat. I have now have to put a pillow under his legs to protect my baby from getting hurt any further. I was upset when I saw all the blood and immediately checked the internet to see if this chair had been recalled! I was pretty sure it hadn't because i saw it in a store a couple weeks ago.
My four month old son has cuts above his heels from the battery pack that is located at the base of the seat.

The side rails on the Rainforest play yard colapse without any given notice or reason. You don't have to lean or push on them. THEY JUST COLAPSE!! This is our second one and it is worse than the first one!
I have purchased two of these at about $125 each. I can not trust that my infant is safe in this.

I bought my daughter a $55 play dog, which is not a cheap toy. It was the Puppy Grows and Knows Your Name Product.
It comes with a CD Rom, but like other fisher-price and DIsney products, the CD Rom is only PC compatible and will not work on a Mac.
Now my daughter is soooo disappointed about a toy that cost quite a bit for a fake dog.
These toy companies need to get up to speed with technology of today OR at least specify PC ONLY.

I purchased a Rainforest Pack and Play from Babies R Us and ever since my baby began to pull up the sides are constantly collapsing. On 10/22/08 BOTH SIDES collapsed at the same time folding in on him and cutting his lip. This is the worst product!!!!

Fisher Price Step 2 Push around Buggy. I was pushing my grandson in this car. We were going down the steep hill in front of our house when the handle came off. Knowing that he was headed into a busy street which cars could have been coming, I ran to stop him. I could not catch up with him so I lunged at him, catching his shirt. I then proceeded to try to stop the car falling in the process. I had to go to the ER and had X-Rays taken.
I had a huge swelling on my arm immediately. I thought the bone was broken into. Thankfully it wasn't. I had a very bad bruise from my elbow to my hand. Thankfully my grandson was not hurt.

I have a 13month old baby and was travelling to greece with him for the first time so i though ill buy a stroller for him for my conveince, my husband wanted to buy mothercare/maclaren but i insisted on fisher price and the only place we could find them was at argos. so we bought it. firstly it had a lovely hood but it did not attach properly, kept falling off.
when we reached athens the hood hadnt come because it had fallen off somewhere. iam a very frequent traveller and have always had buggies/strollers with me but have never lost a part from it coz of a fault in its design.
That resulted in us going through the whole of athens trying to find a hood that would fit but couldnt and ended up buying a parasole that cost more that the stroller itself. but that was still bearable. it has swivel wheels that lock when u r trying to make it go straigh which resulted in the stroller falling upside down by the pavement and my baby fell and hurt his eyebrow quite badly so not only did it actually hurt my baby but made our trip in athens miserable coz it just gets stuck at certain points and me and my husband argued all the way going and coming back and i would truly never buy a fisher price stroller again. I would really appreciate it if some action was taken and some compensation made. kind regards

I had my little 3and 1/2 months old daughter standing in the rainforest jumperoo. The box and the instructions stated how if your child can not walk or climb out of product and they can hold their head up the product is safe for them. I even put the product together myself. Not realizing how there was about near to no padding at all in the seat my child got excited and bumped the side of the seat that she was setting in.
Now my baby has a blackened eye and a broken vessel in her one eye where she hit the fabric only covered seat.

I had the Power Wheels Jeep Hurricane for less than 2 weeks when the gear box started grinding. I called Fisher Price and asked for replacement parts. Their policy required that I take the unit to a service center where a 2 week repair was the minimum to expect. After paying $450 for a toy that my 4 year old has been using for a few days I considered this repair time unacceptable.
I called Fisher Price and asked for a refund. They offered less than the price paid so I brought it to a service center where it has been for almost 3 weeks. I called for an update and found the parts are on backorder and it could be 2 or more weeks before the parts get shipped making this a 6 to 8 week repair time.
Bottom line is that my 4 year old is out of his favorite toy for 6 to 8 weeks. Considering this is a brand new vehicle (< 2 weeks old) this is unacceptable. I would have gladly accepted the return if Fisher price offered the full amount but with their offer I could not afford to replace the vehicle. So now I am waiting another 3 to 4 weeks to get my son his power wheels back. I wish Fisher Price was as committed to warranty service as they are marketing their products.

As far as I can tell other than crying very hard and a small red mark on his head he is ok. This is very disturbing that he wasn't even jumping and the strap came loose, I can only imagine how much worse it could have been if he had been moving vigorously. Someone needs to hear this and do something about it before more children are seriously hurt. I am traumatized by the fact that I had to watch my son fall and hit his head from very little movement in this toy. I will not be able to feel safe putting my son in this toy (or any other type of Fischer Price toy) again, as a result it is a complete waste of money.

i bought the fisherprice link a doos swing for my newborn baby. i noticed ther was no head rest but i used it anyway. 8 weeks after i started using the swing i noticed that my babys head was going flat on one side, this is because there was no head rest and her head kept falling to one side. i am really unhappy about this i have spoke to my health visitor and she said there is no way to fix it only to make her ly on the other side of her head but that will not fix it. i shouldnt have to worry about this just because of a swing!!!!!!
my babys head is flat on one side and shouldnt be it should be flat at the back!!!! i want to no what they are going to do about it as i am worried as to how it is going to be fixed when she was born with a perfectly normal round head.

I, also purchased a Smart Cycle for my 4 year old. It was given to him as a Christmas present; which he could not enjoy, because we had to return it to Toys R us two days after giving it to him.(The toy all of a sudden shut down; wouldn't start or anything.) Needless to say the store did not have any in stock! Therefore my child was left without a toy. I purchased another one in March; thinking maybe the first one was just a bad one. Four months later the cycle yet failed my child once more. I would like very much to be compensated ($125.00) for the Smart Cycle and game that my son can never enjoy.
Economically I could have puy that money on something else educational, as well as fun for my son.

Purchased a Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo. My grandson loves to jump. There are 3 animal figures on the jumper. Only 2 sway back and forth. The 3rd one only moves slightly. My grandson slid his little hand forward underneath it and got caught.could not get his hand out. It was like a trap. Good thing he was not jumping at the time. just started crying. Had to push the figure forward to release his hand. Very dangerous!

I bought my son a Fisher Price Smart Cycle for Christmas. It wasn't even a week before the left pedal fell off. I bought two $25 games to go with it (and for $25 the graphics are reminiscent of the first Nintendo game system quality).
This company should've made stronger parts! After all, kids are going to push any toy to its limits!

I believed Fisher Price to be the best brand when choosing products for my 6 mth old baby. Recently I brought a teething ring which popped the very next day in my babies hands so it wasn't misused in anyway.I just wanted to write to let you know our dissapointment for paying the price and then not having the product for very long, maybe their was a bad batch sent out to shops or something, and I was enquiring as to refund. Thankyou,

I recently bought a Fisher-Price Music & Lights Auto Mirror toy to keep my daughter entertained while driving. There is a plastic piece the switches from music only to lights only to both music & lights. This plastic piece was removed by my child and found in her hand. It is a little smaller than the size of a dime (1/2 inch) in width and has two posts that protrude off the back approximately of inch.
My concern is she could have swallowed this plastic piece which would have to be surgically removed if had made it into her stomach. She could have had complete obstruction and chocked to death. Please help this company fix the problem before there is a terrible outcome.

My 19 month old son was playing with their cookie jar shape sorter when he dropped it on his finger almost takin off the fingertip and shattered the bone in his fingertip!!
I dialles 999 got him to hospital where he was stitched up and put in a bandage and given antibiotics and given painkillers!!Was very traumatic for all of us!

My son was playing with the Fisher Price, Little People, Racing Ramps Garage. He leaned over it to push the cars down the ramp and a flag poked him in the eye. it has a rounded edge but was not smooth. he cried for a while but stopped. he complained later but fell asleep. when he woke up the next morning he couldnt even open his eye. we had to take him to the ER and found out he had a corneal abrasion.
My son had to be taken to the emergency room. he had to be held down to have several different drops put in hid eyes. they alsop had to doa test with a blacklight which required them to put drops that glow in his eyes and turn the light off. through all of this he had to be held down since he would not cooperate. he is only 3. he had a very tramatic experience due to the injury he recieved at the hands of fisher price's toy.

I had purchased a baby swing that was made by Fisher Price from Toys R Us 2 years ago. I have been using it on and off for the children I take care of as a child care provider. I recently used it for my newborn baby girl and while she was in the swing I smelled something funny. When I looked over the swings' motor went on fire. Thank God I grabbed my daughter out of the swing.
It was a very tramatic experience for me, had I not reacted in time, the worst could have happened to my daughter. The swing is now damaged as a result of it.I still have the receipt for the swing.

I, too, purchased the Fisher Price Smart Cycle for my 3 year-old daughter for Christmas. Two days after Christmas, the right pedal fell off. Fisher Price promptly sent us another pedal, free of charge. However upon trying to replace it, we realized the threads were stripped, so it was useless. My brother-in-law obtained a tap kit or whatever the tool is called that rethreads a stripped bolt. We successfully replaced the pedal (mind you, this was months later, so my daughter was not able to use her Smart Cycle, nor the 4 games we purchased to go along with it!). She used the bike with the new pedal and after another two or three days, the right pedal fell off again. I have seen countless bad reviews for this same problem on Toys R Us' website, and I firmly believe Fisher Price should be paying more attention to their customer's opinions of their products; particularly when I receive an email the other day from them, bragging about the Smart Cycle being voted the best new toy!!!!!
The consequence is we are yet again stuck with a $100 bike and 4 games, priced at around $24.95 each, which are useless to us.

I have used the Rain Forest Jumperoo only 3 times for my son and already the seat continues to become unlatched and fall through. SERIOUS DANGER FOR BABIES. MAJOR INJURY POSSIBLE
My son hit the floor but it could have dislocated his shoulders the way he came down, or even worse.

I bought my 3-year-old the Smart-Cycle. He didn't really pay much attention to it until recently. My wife and I were so excited that he finally took an interest in this toy. Day two of actually playing with it, the pedal falls off. Although the pedal had a threaded bolt that screws into the crank, it appears that the manufacturer didn't use it as such because all the threads were flat as if they took a mallet and just beat the bolt into the crank. Now my 3- year-old throws a fit every time he sees the smart cycle with a broken pedal. Thanks Fisher-Price, for nothing.

I purchased the Fisher Price Smart Cycle for my three year old son and he has only played on it a few times. The pedals keep falling off.And the games keep messing up.I paid 90 dollars for a bike my son can't play on. They don't sell the games in any stores because the game system is seasonal they say. I wish I would've known that before I spent hard earned money for it.

My 8 month old was playing with a Fisher Price butterfly toy I purchased. The toy butterfly has cloth like antennas and I notice that my daughter was gagging on something so I looked inside her mouth and it was the cloth material from the toy which had come apart from the butterfly. The threading had come apart as my daughter was playing with the toy and as every baby does my daughter had the toy in her mouth. I feel that this could have done serious damage to my baby and fisher price should consider evaluating the toy for a recall. I purchase a lot of things from fisher price and should also be compensated for the inconvience. Considering the fact that the toy happens to be a teether, Fisher Price should inspect this toy carefully. Toy Number H9463. Ont.Reg.No.24L4483.

I purchased the Ocean swing for my newborn. It worked for about 3 months before the lights that should go around with the fish attachments coming down stopped moving, it just makes this ugly, annoying sound. I can't turn it off because that will just turn the whole swing off and that defies the purpose. After a couple of frustrating tries to fix it, I gave up on it all together. I also bought the double stroller (sit and stand) and the wheels tend to go to the right. I had barely used it when the wheels started to go loose, could not push it around anymore, then the handle that is supposed to fold it started to get stuck making it really difficult to fold and unfold.

I bought my 5 1/2 month old grandson a Rainforest Jumperoo for Christmas. He loved it until it came crashing down on him. The strap came loose from the metal bar under the seat while he was jumping and he fell to the tile floor. This incident happened yesterday 12/3/08. As far as we can tell other than crying very hard and scaring his mother to tears he is ok. I have tried to contact the store mgr. of Walmart where I purchased this jumper with no response from them. I have tried to call an employee with Fisher Price that I found on the internet and left a brief message regarding what happened to my grandson with no response. Someone needs to hear this and do something about it before a child is hurt.
My grandson was screaming from falling to the floor. My grandson's mother was extremely upset as you can imagine.

I have the regular size Fisher-price Rainforest swing. The number on the swing is J8518. There are 2 elastics on the bottom of the seat material that are supposed to attach to 2 little tabs on the underside of the seat part of the swing. I suppose with this and the seat belt that comes in the seat, the material is not supposed to slip. But my elastics don't fit snugly, and on more than one occasion, my child has almost slipped through the opening in the swing seat. He is 17 lbs., so he should still be able to sit in the seat safely.

I bought the Fisher Price Rainforest cradle swing at Walmart in Marysville, KS, for my newborn in October this year. The swing worked for only 2 months! Our baby is now only 12 pounds, and the motor will not swing her.
The swing is useless if it won't swing! I would like a new motor or a refund!

I have a 2004 Ocean Wonders Aquarium bouncer. On Nov. 2002, My 2 year and 3 year old child rested on the toybar above to see their infant brother in the bouncer and the toybar came crashing down on my childs head. The hinges allow the toybar to completely fold backwards giving ZERO clearance to the childs head as well as the bottom portion of the bouncer where the head lies. My 2 month old 12.12 lbs received head trama and brusing to the forhead noted by the doctor. Please contact me.
I was looking on the internet after my baby was injured to see if there was a recall on this product. There had been previous complaints and looks as if someone complained in 2006 which Fisher Price obviously was aware of, but never recalled the product. According to my doctor, my child could have been killed and this could have been prevented since Fisher Price was aware of this in 2006.

CHOKING HAZARD!!! My son was given the Fisher Price Baby Gymnastics Play Wall Activity Gym as a gift about 9 months ago. He was recently playing with it when, to my horror, I turned around and saw him CHOKING! The plug on the inflatable ball that is suspended from the toy had come off in his mouth, and was lodged in his throat.
Thank God I was able to safely reach part of the plug with my finger and pull it from his throat. PLEASE be very careful with this product. If you have one, contact Fisher Price and let them know that you are aware of this matter. I have reported this to them and I'm waiting to hear back for more details.

I bought the Amazing Animals Train by Fisher Price for my grandson. It seemed safe and sturdy, however the other day as he is learning to walk, he stumbled backwards and sat on the giraffe. I didnt realize it till our 5 year old told me that the leg broke off. The hinge came apart in a few pieces, leaving very small pieces of plastic that are actually a bit sharp. I was surprised that it broke so easily. Im sure it hyperextended when he fell on it.
I am concerned about letting him play with the other animals, I Hope they are safe, this is a favorite toy, particularly the giraffe. I am tempted to let him play with the 3 legged giraffe, but there is a screw inside or some other piece of fastening metal. I would like the toy replaced and assurances that the toy is safe.

Fisher-Price Aquarium Bouncer Seat --
My 5 mounth old granddaughter can lean over and hang down between back of seat and bars that goes up for aquarium piece.
She can not sit up by herself but still can lean over and reach to floor and then she is just hanging from seat belt. There needs to be something to stop a infant from hanging over like this it is unsafe and could result in a infant getting hurt.

My 8 month old granddaughter was sitting in the Fisher - Price Rainforest Jumper and it seat fell which we thought the bar locked underneath and it does not.

My baby was is the Fisher Price swing, and his head was caught in the swing, between the bars on the swings.

My 4 month old has the open top safari swing that was just realled. She was in it and within seconds her head lodged in between the bars. It was awful. It took me and my husband both to get her out. Fortunately there's no real injuries other than a bump. When i took a look at the swing i realized how stupid the person had to be that made this.
I'm not someone that makes children's equipment but I would have thought that someone who did would have looked at this thing and realized how awful it was made!

High chair continually pinches my 1yearolds little fingers. I cannot put her in there without her getting her fingers severely pinched. This is sooo frustrating. I need to buy a new highchair. She gets her fingers stuck between the tray and the actual highchair and cannot get them out. It's awful.. It has been happening everytime she is put in the chair. So I am having to get rid of it....it's a waste of money.

One day I tried to put my 6 month old in the cradle swing and it tipped all the way over. After 20 min. of him screaming I looked at the bottom of the swing and found the button on the ground it had twisted off.
My son had a huge headache and a bruise on his head. I can no longer use the swing.

My daughters have been injured because of your product! I have a 3 year old and a 20 month old, and both of them have been hurt while playing with a toy that was purchased in 2004. It is a green case like toy made to hold stackable blocks inside, and the top of the case is where you're supposed to stack the blocks. The age on the box said 1 1/2, and I put it up until my first daughter was old enough to play with it. The day she played with it, it closed hard on her finger!
I put it up, and waited until she turned 3 then got it out again. My 20 month old, who is plenty old for the toy, grabbed it today, and this time, the top slammed on her finger. I'm outraged that they can put a recommended age on the box, but can't put a caution about the case! As a result, both of my girls had gotten hurt while playing with a toy meant for their age!?!?!

I bought a Fisher Price Ocean Wonders, Aquarium Swing for my newborn son, about 5 months ago. The mobile on the device, in my opinion never worked right in the beginning and now has totally stopped working all together. My son loves the swing and the light, but cannot enjoy the full affect of the mobile. As a mother of three (5yrs, 2yrs, & 5month old) I depended on the swing to keep the baby's attention while I'm busy with all the things I need to get done throughout the day.
I've mentioned this at a play group and have found that other mothers that have the same swing, had the same problem. I am very disapointed with the quality of the swing and hope that your company has a way to remedy the situation.

i bought the Amazing animals Sing and Choo choo an award winning product from Fisher Price! My daughter whom is only 7months loves this toy set. After only a month or so one of the animals limbs are very loose. I would like a replacement. I have attempted to find a way to contact the company online with no success. I have always thought of Fisher Price as a quality making toy company as I have often purchased there toys for my older daughter! Fisher Price needs to step up when it comes to customer service!

I recently bought a GO DIEGO ADVENTURE DOLL, and the head fell off. The tab that is in the body around the neck, is to big so the head does not stay on the doll. I was unable to return the doll to the store, and was told to send it back to the manufacturerer. I do not have the original box it came in so I can not look to see the address. I am unable to find an address on the websites listed since I did not buy the toy online. I am in the military and am currently in Okinawa Japan.

The Kick and Play Bouncer Seat that we purchased 3 months ago, stopped working due to a faulty on/off switch. We phoned the company only to be told that we could purchase another one at a higher cost that we paid for the one we have. Customer Service never offered any suggestions on how to fix it, nor did they offer to replace it.
No physical damage was caused, we are just out of the $40.00 that we paid for the product and it would appear that Fisher Price has gotten so big that they do not care that they lost a customer.

The Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Cradle/Swing may have a defect....the bolt that holds the swing (with a loc-nut) broke. I'm glad my baby wasn't sitting in it at the time.

I purchased a Fisher Price Aquarium high chair for my son who is 15 months old. We purchased it last January 2006 but it sat in the box for about another three months until my son was ready to eat baby food. Then when we did get it out it was hardly used because it was just easier to feed him on my lap now that he is able to eat from the highchair and does so at every meal, i noticed that the padding is beginning to rip.
I am really disappointed and infuriated by this because i spent a lot of money on the chair so that i could have something nice and something that would last for when i have more children. I thought that Fisher Price was a good quality and would last for a while that is why i didn't choose a cheaper brand, but i might just of well have because the chair hasn't even lasted a year and has hardly been used except for the last 5 months. I would never buy or recommend anyone else to purchase this chair.

Hi, I am just letting you know never to buy a stroller made from Fisher Price. I know it's a good named brand for children but I've had my first problem with it. In July of 2006 my dad had bought me a double stroller made from Fisher Price. I thought it was convenient because I had two girls and I was tired of using separate strollers. Anyways, the first several times I've used it I was upset because the front wheels don't pivot too well.
My oldest daughter sits in the front and my youngest sits in the back. When I push the stroller the wheels turn more to the right instead of the direction that I want to push it in. And this is when the front wheels are not locked to go straight. And the handles are crooked. And the back does not stay in the part where the back wheels are at. I had to super glue it so it stays in its place. Anyways, just wanted to let you know that the wheels on these strollers SUCK!
And the parts are uneven... I wanted to think that it was the weight of the children that make it hard for me to push or turn the stroller. But it's not.

My complaint is on the Aquarium Play Yard. On the sides of the play yard (inside) is this orange patch that has warnings listed on it. One warning that you forgot to mention is that the orange color that is used flakes off and ends up all over babies hands. At first I didnt know what it was. My daughters hands face and obviously mouth had orange flakes all over. I looked around the play yard and saw that when she stands up and holds where the warning label is flakes on her hands and then she rubs her face and puts her hands in her mouth. I would assume that the stuff is not toxic but I imagine it is still not good for babies to be ingesting.

I own a Fisher-Price bounce, model # C5859/79636/B8865. The bouncer has a musical attachment to the seat that goes in front and above the infant while sitting in the bouncer seat. The battery compartment for themusical attachment faces the baby. It uses 3 AA batteries. There were 3 AA Duracell batteries in there. My 3 month old was sitting in the bouncer with the music playing when one of the AA Duracell batteries exploded in the compartment. The pressure was so strong that the battery acid came out of the battery compartment and injured my infant's eye. My daughter might have not been injured had the battery compartment been located on the other side of the musical away from the baby sitting in the seat.
Visible redness, swelling and irritation on the skin around the baby's eye. Redness of the white of baby's eye, tearing and she was unable to open it for a period of time. The upper eyelid had been burned. We had a visit to the E.R. and a pediatrician for the eye injury. We have a visit scheduled with an eye doctor to further check for eye scarring or retina damage.

I purchased a Fisher Price Calming Vibrations chair ID # 00975-1013 for my daughter. She is 8 months old. I had her strapped in the chair as the directions stated...in the rocking position. She reached forward to play with her toes and the chair pitched forward and she fell over with the chair still strapped to her. She fell face first onto the floor and hit her face on the floor and her face was pushed into the floor...she could not move her head. She could have suffocated and could have been severly injured.

We own the Baby Gymnastics Activity Tunnel and the ACtivity Wall for our 9 month old daughter. While I think this is a great concept, I feel there are some major design flaws with the Activity Tunnel. It tips over on top of any child trying to stand up. The wall has great footings to keep it sturdy, but the tunnel is not sturday at all.
No serious injuries to my child, but after it tipping over on top of her a couple of times, I have put the tunnel away.

the metal frame on the ocean wonders aquarium bouncer snapped resulting in the bouncer collapsing while my 4 month old baby was in it. model # 79030
My baby could have been seriously injured and i believe this is a good enough reason to recall the product. Fisher price has requested that I send the product to them to inspect.

I have now bought 2 fisher price aquarium swings for my granddaughters when they were born. They seem to like the mobiles on the swing which incidently only worked for about 2 weaks. The swings are now useless for these babies since we use the older swings that mobiles still work.

I recently purchased the Fisher price Take along swing. This morning while changing my 18 month old son I heard my 5 month old daughter making a strange noise. It sounded like a cross between chocking and trying to cry. I hurried into the living room to find that her head was caught between the two poles of the swing and was in fact suffocating her.
I had difficulty getting her out of the position and was clearly in a panic which my son could clearly see. Although he is just 18 months this caused him to panic. Needless to say I finally got her out of the position which left a red mark around her neck where she was stuck.
The fear of watching my daughter suffocating and having my son hanging on my leg confused and frightened by my panic is indescribable. I am happy with most Fisher price products but I feel that this should be bought to the public's attention before there is a fatality.

I purchased a fisher price ocean wonders aquarium cradle swing and the direction said it can be machine washed. I washed it in cold water and dried it on low but it melted and shrunk.
I now have a very expensive swing with no seat cover.

I purchased the Dora the Explorer Van or bus and the wheels are very noisey. Like the tires are too close to the plastic sides and they rub together and it makes a horrible skreeching sound and off course my daughter will not stop playing with it but it is very irritating .Just wondering if they are all like this or is this a manufacturers defect. Would like a response via e-mail address Thank You

I owen a Sawasaki ninja power wheels, eight months ago I had the gears replaced under warranty. Now eight months from then the gears are bad again. This is clearly a poorly designed part. I can't buy just the part to install it myself, I have to pay $100.00 to have it replaced. Since it is a defect I think Fisher price should replace it.

The Fisher Price Healthy Start High chair has a spot underneath the tray that my daughter has got her foot stuck in many times. The pole that comes up between their legs to help hold them in, doesn't come up the whole way to meet the tray. It is here that her little leg gets wedged.
My daughter ended up with some very disturbing and prominent marks on her ankle where it was lodged in there. Not only one time but many times.

We have two of the Fisher Price Motorized Jeeps for our children. Our sons jeep has a rear motor burnt out. We called Fisher Price to get a new motor sent to us. There are no service centers in the state of Oregon. Closest is Seattle, WA. They will not ship one to us! So we have a $300.00 toy that can not be used. Fisher Price wants us to ship the toy to Seattle to have it repaired.

My 17 month old grandson was playing with the activity cube tha you use the peek a boo blocks with. There are 5 different activities that you can do with this cube. He was playing with it yesterday and his knee got caught in the stack side of the cube and we had to pry his knee out of it. It left a nice lump and bruise on his knee. I wanted to let you know that this is a top rated toy and it was awesome until last night. He screamed because his knee really got lodged in there.

I purchased the Sesame Street Talking Cell phone for my 17 month old son at Target. When I saw the item on the shelf I liked the idea that is was educational to my son. The phone was loud enough to hear my son like the music and the numbers Elmo would say. To my dismay after I got home I took the phone out of the box only to find the the volume of the phone decreased significatatly and after examining the box there were instructions stating the volume of the phone would decrease after it was taken out of the box. Why wasn't that noticed menitoned on the box why is after I purchase the phone, and find the manual is when it informs me of this.
I'm very disapppointed with this product and think this needs to be brought to someone's attention this is not fair to the consumer. This is no different than purchasing a car and then finding out after you drive the car off the lot that it's lemon please advise what can be done about this situation. I'm not pleased with the product I feel there should be a volume control on the phone so that the parents can adjust themselves.

I have nine month old twins and for my baby shower i received two ocean wonders take along swings valued at about sixty dollars each. They were great for the first month and a half of the twins life and then within a couple days of each other the swings just quit working. We tried new batteries, different types of batteries and nothing would make them work.
I called babies r us where the swings were bought and they said there wasn't much they could do for us. I realize that without a receipt its hard for them to do much but now i have these brand new swings 120.00 worth that i used maybe 4-6 times that I can't do a thing with and can't bare the thought of throwing them away without trying to do something about it first.

The Stroller does not turn. The wheels in the front stay in one position and you have no control over your direction. At first I thought it was locked but it wasn't. I also thought that maybe it was assembled wrong but after checking it over everything was the way it should be. If there's nothing in the front of the stroller it's a little easier to control but the wheels still don't work efficiently.
I have seen others with this same type stroller and they have this same problem so I know it's not just this particular stroller. I would like some type of refund or certificate to purchase another stroller which I really need because it's very difficult to push a stroller with one hand and carry a baby in the other which also makes purchasing a double stroller kind of pointless.

When my daughter was 3 months old we put her in this bouncer and she wiggled her way out of the safety straps. I had her in their tight, but it didn't seem to hold her. When she was 6 months old she started sitting up, and was still a little unstable and fell to the side. She almost hit her head on the ground if my husband wouldn't have caught her in time. This product needs to be looked into.
The reason that I'm complaining is because my daughter could have been seriously injured had my husband not caught her right in the knick of time. I don't want somebody else's baby to get hurt.

My son recieved the Elmo's sing & teach table. Even though it is a great toy it is very unsafe. I cannot count the times that my son has pulled up on this table and tipped over with it, hitting his head on the floor. Luckily nothing major yet.

I am the mother of 4 children. My husband and I have purchased Fisher Price toys since my oldest son was born nearly 9 years ago. We have come to expect as well as to appreciate the quality that you get when you purchase something by Fisher Price. However, I am extrememly disappointed in the Fisher Price Little Mommy nursery center, a Christmas purchase that we made for our two daughters ages 17 mo. and 3 1/2 years.
The girls both love to play babies and so when we found this nursery center, we were so excited. I am sad to say that it is JUNK. The mobile constantly falls apart. There is not enough playing space to put the powder and the dolls. I can barely get the Little Mommy doll in and out of the high chair; it is way too small.
So, you can imagine the frusration of my 3 1/2 year old as well as my 17 mo. old as they try to feed their doll. My 17 mo. daughter has down syndrome and there is no way that she can put the baby in and out of the high chair. This product has put a very bad taste in my mouth. Is Fisher Price lowering their quality of toys? I had to go to the toy store and purchase Graco baby products for my daughters to play with. They work great!

I called Fisher price about my crib bed cottage convertible. My daughter is 12 months old and is eating the paint off of the head board. I asked if it is toxic and if they have a plastic rail or any thing to cover the paint so she can't eat it. Also the rail is very unstable and she can get it down. I am concerned she will fall out of the crib. Fisher Price said they are not responsible for it, they don't manfacture it, they just put their name on it. They said I need to contact Stork craft. Here are the numbers on the bottom of the crib; 04831-581 Feb.21-2003 Canada- Cottage convertable- white
My daughter is injesting paint. Iam also concerned she can fall out of the crib due to the mechanics of the crib side rail.

We had just had our baby Daughter recently my wife had prior to that registered through several stores to receive the FP Papasan Baby Seat. We loved the fact of what it could do to help soothe our baby's needs. However, My needs are that Quality Control could beef it up a little.
Upon buying this item ourselves i was first disappointed to find that one of the four only screws to assemble this did not have the threads tapped so i had to return it. Later upon the exchange of another one i find that the assembly instructions skipped from page 1-4 and then to page 13-15 and then again, page 13-15. i'm sure this is a no brainer on the assembly of the other screws but i want to have it right and also have the proper instructions to even put the padding on the frame of this as well.

We have a Fisher Price Smart Response Swing. It is the Jack and Jill model. It has green legs. The seat cover is a green plaid. This swing fell twice with my 2 month old daughter in it. It appears that the legs were not attached correctly. We have always used it on the carpet. When we put it on hard wood floors, the legs seemed to buckel and sent my daughter crashing to the floor. After the first time I checked it over thinking maybe we had loosened something in moving it. I then put my daughter in the swing again. Again it went crashing to the floor while she was swinging. This is unacceptable.
My daughter went crashing to the floor. Her head jerked and slammed against the seat. She was not hurt badly. But still it was bad enough.

Fisher Price Aquarium Calming Vibrations Bouncer
Child can slip/lean over edge of bouncer chair and hit head and/or tip chair.
I do not want an attorney to contact me at this point in time, but am retaining my right to pursue that option, at my discretion.

Would like to know why the kick & play bouncer makes my twins soaking wet, if it would have been just one of my twins i could understand but it happens to both.
For the price i paid for these am not pleased at all
my twins have to be changed at least twice a day an worry that they may get chills

Son was in bouncy seat with bar attached. He went to remove our son and unclipped the sides it doesn't swing. It fell and hit our son in the head. He had brusing and a red mark on his eye.
we took him to the doctor the following day she said he more than likly has a headache and to give him Tylenol. She informed me what to watch for including vomiting if a bump would show up or if he lost his appetite.
Fisher price had a lady call me from basically a legal department. And they keep wanting and offering to ship the product to them at no cost to us and refund the purchase price I told them I would be keeping the item they have plenty of them in warhouses that they can look at.
My son didn't sleep or rest very comfortably for the next few days. We are paying the office visit and I got to miss over an hour of work. Not to mention watching him to make sure there was nothing wrong besides bruses. Not much sleep being a mom especially if you are worried that they have a head injury. Then your thinking to yourself I bought this for him.

I received this mobile as a baby shower gift. I registered for it at Toys R Us because I loved the idea of it. Well, now that my daughter is in her crib, I find that it is not working properly. The mobile does not turn and sometimes I hear it starting by itself in the middle of the night. I got rid of the packaging months ago, before she moved in to the crib. Now I'm very disappointed with the performance. Without the packaging or the receipt, what can I do?
The cost of the item was 29.99.

Stand up Ball Blaster snapped both bones in my son's forearm. 12 month old put his arm into one of the side holes to drop a ball. He lost his balance and fell landing on where the balls come out, so the toy didn't tip over with him. His arm caught in the hole and snapped both bones. Took him to the emergency room and it was put in a cast...but as traumatic as that was, my family had to undergo hours of interrogation from social worker, drs, and police as to why a kid this young had such a severe injury.
Here is the bad thing about this toy and injury. Orthopedic Dr said your child could break his arm on this toy EASILY. Unless the parent sees them do it they may think the baby is fussy because of teething, gas..whatever. (Our son stopped crawling and was fussy but otherwise fine.) They administer tylenol, motrine, etc.....Dr says 5 days on Tylenol and there is no need to cast the broken arm at this age because they heal so fast.
How many kids already have this fracture and its healed, but their parents never knew????? Imagine in the future taking your child to the Dr for an xray and finding out there is an OLD fracture that is not in their medical records!!
If you have this toy and have EVER seen your child put his arm into the large holes and/or fall.....have them checked!

This complaint is about Baby monitors. I have a Fisher Price Monitor product #71599 900 Mhz long-range vibrating monitor. It is the second FP monitor that I have bought in 3 years. My problem is that the rechargeable battery for this monitor only lasts several months past the warranty. I called Fisher Price to see if I could purchase a new battery and they told me that the monitor and battery were discontinued. And since it was past a year there was nothing that I could do.
I then proceeded to surf the net to see if I could locate a battery and had no luck. I took it to radio shack and they tried several options for me but in the end they said that Fisher Price looks like they make 1 battery for each monitor.
I feel Fisher Price is profiting from this because basically you are out of luck and you have to purchase another monitor ( a good one ranges $50). I went on Toys R Us website and I could't belive how many bad reviews this monitor received for the same exact reasons. I tried to contact Fisher Price by e-mai, but you can only leave a comment with no response back. I told them that they should check out the reviews on their products.

I purchased a Fisher Price Baby Monitor in early 1999. This item worked well for my first baby for a few months and the second for a few months. The monitor was stored in its original package and was never mistreated. I recently tried to use it with the third baby and I can only hear white noise. The Fisher Price people told me that the warranty was only for a year (proabably the total amount of time I actually used the monitor) and there was NOTHING they could do. I could not even get it serviced or anything.
The customer service person also said that it was probably interference in the environment, though I tried it in different parts of the house and my parents house with the same results. Other baby manufacturers protect the consumer and their $30.00 investment. I have personally dealt with Graco and Evenflo products with great satisfaction. I am very disturbed that I believed that a large company like Fisher Price does not stand by their (expensive) products.
I am unable to moniter my sleeping infant and basically I am out $30.00 for an item that did not last.

We purchased A power wheel Jeep for our son just over 1 year ago with in that time frame we had to purchase a new battery and now the motor in it has burned up they only offer a 1 year service contract but it is my feeling that it should be one year of Use. we live in Michigan it sat unmoved for 6 months, this toy has now cost me 50$ a month not including the additional battery.

I had purchased one of the bassinets that were recalled, I'm very upset to find that they were recalled, because this is the second item I have purchased from Fisher Price that was a recall. I do not want a repair kit, I want my money back. I tried taking this item back to the store, and they refused to take this item back.

my daughter's crib collapsed and she broke her leg. loss of work for both me and husband, daughter in full body cast at age 25 months, hrs investigating, hospital bills, and sad site of daughter not being able to play or move at all without help.

Bought a Power Wheel for my 19 month old son. A Four Wheeler model. It shocked my son. He had to go to the ER but is ok. It looks like there may be a wiring problem in the handlebars

My baby received a gym made by Fisher Price, in which he reaches with his hands to hit the objects. The objects are very hard and on several occasions have been snatched off by him in which he has hit himself in the face. I appreciate the practice in gross motor abilities that the product reinforces, however with the exception of one cloth cow, all of the pieces are extremely hard.
I'm not upset because my son did not harm himself. My being upset is due to the fact that many, many baby products are not safe, and are consistently being recalled for the danger which they impose. While some dangers can be more severe than others, I do not believe that manufacturers are unaware of the possibilites of what dangers exist before placing the product on the market.
