Tracy of Bassett VA (7/21/03):
i called to ask if they would replace a broken part on my son's Carseats they said it's not a replacement part and its over one year and so, no warranty. The metal spring-like thing that secures the shield to the Carseats has fallen off. They told me that I should buy a new seat.

I bought the seat several years ago and it was manufactured in 1999 it had an expiration date of December 31, 2004. I feel that they should replace my Carseats without such a hassle. A defect like this could hurt a child.

Tamara of Belton MO (2/26/03):
I had purchased the Baxter Plaid travel system for my daughter in July of 2002. In January of 2003, my 4-month-old daughter was able to loosen the straps on the car seat and start sliding out while I was driving, Two days later the stroller broke and I was not able to fold it to put it into my vehicle. Somehow the folding mechanism broke and the stroller will no longer collapse to fit in the trunk.

On Monday January 20,2003 I called Evenflo, and asked them politely what they could do to help me rectify this situation, I had paid $200.00 for this travel system back in July, the woman then told me that if I paid the $25.00 shipping fee they would send me a new travel system.

Well, I never received anything. Evenflo stated that I received it on January 24,2003 (not true). I was then advised that an investigation would be put through with UPS. A week later I contacted UPS, to see if they found the travel system, when they notified me that they were never made aware of this situation by Evenflo. I then contacted Evenflo and the woman was very rude and hung up on me.

Three weeks later UPS contacted me to ask me if I ever received the package from Evenflo, (during those 3 weeks I continuously called Evenflo asking for the manager Wendy and she refused to talk to me). I was also made aware that the package was insured for $130.00, subtract my shipping of $25.00 after UPS finishes their investigation and I will only receive $105.00 and you can not find a travel system equal to the one I purchased for that price. I still have no stroller, and no car seat? How can a company this big get away with this?

My husband is in the Army and is supposed to be shipping over seas and I have to be worrying about a stroller and car seat. I have never been treated this way.
