These guys are thieves--just no good business people. My new 150 MC_150H arrived. After that, there was nothing but problems. I put gas in it and the first thing I saw was the gas all over my driveway. Besides that, I started the scooter and it ran. But after three tries on the electric starter, the battery just went dead.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I really wished I read these reports 4 weeks ago because everything these reviews say are true. This is a terrible company with a capital T. I don't even know where to begin telling you how these people completely disrespected me. I called to order a black 50 cc scooter mid-November, hoping I could get a scooter so I could go to work, being a student in college. A week later, I see that they were shipping it to the wrong address which I can forgive. I call to get this problem fixed which took short of an hour, after getting transferred multiple times (twice to the same person). A day later, they call me to tell me my color isn't available anymore which I still haven't figured out because I bought the scooter in my color.
But again I forgive and decide to get another color. They tell me it would take about 9-12 days for the scooter to reach me; it actually took three weeks. Mind you, this whole time, I have to be paying a taxi to take me to work which would have been fine for the 9-12 days they told me it would take. When the scooter finally arrived, I opened it up to see multiple scratches across the front and even a chip off the handles. I called them to tell them I've had it, going through 5 transfers to finally get to a manger (twice to the same guy again) who told me she'd transfer me to another agency, which I never got to talk to because I was tired of again waiting short of an hour.
So again I sucked it up, at least I had my scooter right? No, I realized once I got to the DMV that my proof of ownership wasn't sent to me. Calling them again, simply exasperated, I just asked when it will get to me, they tell me 3-5 days, well it is now day 7 and I'm still taking my taxi to work, which I will probably do for the next three weeks. Please if you're smart, do not order from this company, do yourself a favor and buy from anywhere else.

There is not enough room to report the terrible experience with Sunny Sports/Scooter Depot. A one star rating is much too generous. Lies and deception are the norm. I purchased two MC150TKA trikes. Fortunately, they sent one that was the wrong color and the rep from the company asked me to lie and say it was damaged so that the shipping company would have to pay for the return. She did not know that I was on speaker phone and the driver was a witness. I just went down hill from there. The bottom line is that the two front tires shake so violently at 30-35 mph it pretty much goes where it wants to go. I have contacted the company and one day the person I talk to is in charge of customer service and the next time the same person is in charge of shipping. They specialize in placing you on hold and waiting for you to give up. All I have asked them for is to provide me with a vehicle that is safe to operate. I refuse to talk to them on the phone and will only communicate via e-mail. I followed every one of their suggestions to alleviate the problem. They even suggested that I let over half of the air out of the tires.
I was able to get a dispute resolved with my credit card company for one of the trikes. I hated to do it but I had to agree to a $75 fee for them to make the transaction. I am now waiting for them to authorize one of the two dealers in Daytona Beach to inspect the vehicle. The really sad part to this story is that of all the government agencies I have contacted tell me that according to their records all of the products from this Chinese manufacturer have passed all inspections. Just like the drywall, the lead in toys and the toxic food that we have been exposed to. I just wish I could have one of these inspectors ride that trike over 35mph. Our government has put our integrity and protection up for sale and it has been purchased by the Chinese.

It was extortion and fraud. My scooter was assembled by a professional mechanic; it never ran. And now, I am forced to pay for a new engine as well as the shipping from D.C. to CA and back. Scooter Depot will not pay for my mechanic fees, any new parts, or any shipping costs. I also have been on hold for 2 hours everyday, trying to contact them.
I have wasted $927 plus $120 in mechanics fees for a defective product. I filed a claim with the BBB and will find a way to make sure no one uses this company.

I have had the worst experience with Scooter Depot than any other company I have ever done business with. This scooter is total garbage and the people at this company are very unprofessional. This scooter, as it is, could kill the rider with all of the build mistakes.
If they were a good company, they would send me a proper scooter and the extra money I have spent on it, to make things right.

I can't stand this company, it is a big disappointment! The parts and service warranty is a bunch of **.

I ordered a 2011 scooter/motorcycle on 8-19-11.It came a week later and ran okay for 50 miles. After that, it started bogging out and dying at low speeds, and now, it won't even start. I spent over an hour on hold, waiting for someone in their parts and technical department to tell me I needed to clean the carburetor, on a motorcycle with 60 miles?
They say the warranty will not cover labor but I know that in order to comply with the U.S. EPA, all manufacturers of new motor vehicles must provide an emissions warranty (for motorcycles this warranty covers all parts and repair relating to the emissions control system, including fuel delivery system for 7,500 miles or 5 years). They even sent this in writing with the scooter. So, I have in my possession a written express warranty from the manufacturer that covers all of this but neither the dealer or the manufacturer will honor it.

I purchased a 150cc scooter in February. 150 miles later, the tires went flat because of a rot.
I emailed Scooter Store and they didn't answer. I also thought I purchased a 2010 or newer model but it is a 2008 scooter model. Although it was in the crate and was never used when I bought it, I was not thinking of getting one that's old and has a lower resale value due to the year of the model.

Your site scared me when I read it right after I ordered a scooter from Scooter Depot. But it arrived okay and runs perfectly. Whew! You had me going for a while. For what it's worth, my experience with Scooter Depot was excellent. They were always available and answered my questions in detail. I always read reviews, but I keep a keen eye to complainers, finding often that they didn't read instructions or that they were too ** to know what they were talking about. Anyway, my experience with Scooter Depot aka Sunny Sports was good and I recommend them to anyone who wants a scooter at a good price.

I bought a 50cc moped from Scooter Depot last 6/10. Then, in 9/10, the moped broke down (things like horn, signal light, engine won't start, etc.). The moped is only 500 miles and it is still under warranty. The warranty is something that the customer must buy--that's their rule. I did contact them for repair but they just kicked around and said that whatever happens to my moped, there is no warranty. I have no time to argue. I just let people be aware of buying moped from Scooter Depot.

I bought my scooter online. The delivery went bad. Secondly, the scooter was the wrong color but I kept it because trying to get it back would cost me. Thirdly, the back end was loose causing screws to break which I had to replace. After making all my complaints just like the other guys who bought from them, I couldn't get any call backs. They didn't send parts that I needed like the bent brake rotor. I filed a complaint with the BBB for some of my money back and nothing. That's not all.

I bought this 260cc motor scooter, online in late August 2009. I had a few minor problems, so I requested a repair and maintenance manual so I could get the unit attended to, that was a few weeks ago. The tech tells me that they do not have any such thing. They rely on their experience. That one aggravated me to no end, but the thing that really got me was, after traveling like 20 miles on the freeway at speed, I noticed the unit felt just a little different.
I got the scooter home, and found the front tire low on air and promptly aired it to 30 psi as I was checking the rear tire the front one just blew out. Not having the tools or experience to repair the tire, I took it to a shop here in Ft. Worth, Mr. Motorcycle and Salvage. Upon their tear down, they found two things. First, an inter tube inside the tire and the other being the bead of the tubeless tire had been damaged, all at the factory. The Scooter Depot does not respond upon notification.

Here is a letter I composed and sent to Scooter Depot. It kind of explains the situation.
I am writing you due to the fact that I am unable to contact you via phone. I have left several messages with different employees of your company to have you return my call, with my phone number.
Amy, let me refresh your memory about my Motorcycle/ Scooter.
I purchased a MC-SL12 on Jan. 02, 2008. (invoice 5826) for $1,029.00
If you recall, I received a damaged bike, that was left in a crate on my driveway.
When you would not accept a return, or compensation for a damaged bike, I decided that I was wasting my time trying.
But I am having a much greater difficulty trying to register your scooter.
When I received your MSO (Title) several weeks later, I called my insurance, gave them the ID number, insured the bike.
When I received the Insurance card, I took the MSO, and Insurance card and went to NJDMV.
I was told that the MSO was incorrect. It had Moped on Title, and the Manufacturer was not approved Manufacturer in NJ.(Zhejiang Mendeli Electric Co.LTD)
I called Ivy, who is in your Customer Service Dept. and she said she would contact the Manufacturer, and send the correct MSO.
I waited several weeks and called several times.
I received a new MSO around April 15 th.
I went to NJDMV again with new MSO. They told me that the MSO had the Motorcycle correction, but was missing the Manufacturer Name at top. So it was incorrect.
I asked to speak with the Manager (Mike) at NJDMV Springfield NJ, and he Personnally spoke with Ivy. He emailed her the requirements, and the list of approved Manufacturers.
I did not receive the new MSO until mid May. As soon as I opened it, I knew it was incorrect. Across the top was written (Zhejiang Mendeli Electric Co. LTD) which was not approved the first time.
I decided that I had no choice but to try. I went to Motor Vehicles again. Again, I was informed that the Manufacturer was not approved in NJ.
I made several attempts to speak with Customer Service, but no one would return my call.
I Googled SUNL and found that there was a SUNL distribution Center in Edison NJ ( approx. 50 Miles away).
I went to Sunl in Edison and met with Sherry and Tina (Manager) They called Sunny Sports and said that they may be able to help.
They made me another MSO that said SUNL across the top.
They said that since they were distributers mostly to NY, that the MSO they had only said SUNL on it, and that they were unfamiliar with NJ registration requirements. It cost me $40, but I was happy to have hope.
When I went to Motor Vehicles again, I was not approved. They said SUNL was not approved in NJ.
Amy, I am at witts end. I think that I have been more than calm.
This bike was a gift for my wife's Birthday in January. All She can do is look at it in the Garage.
On your web site, It states Approved in all 50 States
The NJ Division of Motor Vehicles has deemed this bike as NOT APPROVED.
Please rectify this situation Immediately, or refund my Monies, plus expenses I have incurred.

The scooters arrived, but with some parts broken. No problem but was lied to about how to get these replaced, lied about someone calling me back (NEVER happened) and lied to many, many times about getting the proper paperwork so I could title the scooters. It has been 2 months and i still do not have the paperwork. I was told it was being sent, being sent UPS ground, sent overnight, etc.- still no paperwork. I wished i had not purchased the motorbikes.
I wasted over $2,156 on the bikes, hours and hours on the phone and stress and frustration beyond belief. It is horrible to feel so helpless when a company like this jerks you around. also include 2 months of wasted insurance. I was a responsible person and insured them right away but they sit in my yard. I would honestly prefer to have the scooters sent back to them and just get my money back. I would go to a local dealer, even if it cost more.
