In 2001 I booked a combination big game hunt for mountain goat, black bear and moose through Cabela's Outdoor Adventures with Mckenzie Brothers Outfitters. This hunt occurred in September of 2001 with a total cost of $7500.00. The outfitter did not provide experienced guides for the hunt. One of my guides refused to take me hunting one day due to the rain because she did not have the proper clothes and did not want to get wet. This same guide while unloading her rifle three feet from me accidentally discharged it. I was lucky that I was not shot.

I was not allowed to shoot a black bear of considerable size because the guide did not want to pack it out of the bush. The goat I shot was lost to a bear and I was not allowed a new tag due to the outfitters' bad judgment. Half the time there was no heat in camp due to generator problems. Food service was terrible due to lack of enthusiasm by the cook.

The trip was a total waste of money. Cabela's would not reimburse me for the trip and disagreed with me about what occurred even though they were not there and another hunter who was hunting the same time I was complained about the same type things.
