Daniel of Waldorf MD (1/24/04):
So for $200 they walked me out to a white van and unloaded the speakers. These are not $2,000 speakers, they're are maybe worth $50. My fault for buying out of a van. This is a scam that has been around the Washington, D.C., area for as long as we can remember. No doubt it occurs elsewhere in the country as well. Beyond the danger of being scammed, buying things from strangers in parking lots and garages is a good way to get mugged ... or worse. Report Your Experience
