The Amazing Diet Patch

Gwen of Candler NC (2/25/05):
I saw online a product called "the amazing diet patch" and wishing to lose weight myself, saw that they would let you try the patch for free for seven days, the only thing you had to pay was shipping which was $2.95. After giving my checking account information online for the shipping, I recieved a week or so later the seven-day supply and now several weeks later was automatically debited from my checking account $169.95.

I never agreed to have the amount debited from my checking account and after trying two different phone numbers to get hold of the company and trying to go on their website also, I am at a dead end. The phone number sent on the papers with my sample is disconnected, and the other number which I got from my bank, never connects to a live person, it just keeps you on hold, and finally disconnects you. I went online to their website, and the only thing I get there is a notice that they are no longer accepting new orders.

Tiffany of Moody AFB GA (2/25/05):
Signed up for free seven-day trial and was only supposed to be charged $2.95 for shipping and handling. I was then charged $169.95 for diet patches and never received anything from company. The product was never delivered, the seven-day trial or anything else.

Shoushana of Lansing IL (2/22/05):
My credit card was charged for $170.00 without my authorization, and I never received the product.

Mara of Highland Park IL (12/3/04):
I bought the product, they did not work at all ... no change to my weight at all despite running 20-28 miles per week and eating a 1500 calorie diet per day. I tried to get my money back and cannot.

I am out the $160 and am afraid that they will use my information to steal more money from me like they did with others.

Kim of Trego WI (10/10/04):
I bought a 7-day free diet patch for only the price of shipping and handling for $2.95 with no hidden charges. If you like these patches you may order a 3-month supply at only $169.99. Well, I didn't even wear the first one that they sent and so in about 3 weeks I was going over my checking account printout and lo and behold there it was -- a charge for $169.99. I contacted my bank that day and had to fill out all sorts of paper for unatherized charges.
