First National Card: Too Good to be True?
Consumer Complaints

LIke all of you the card showed up in my mailbox. I didn't ask for it, had never heard of it, yet it came to me. At the time I was in a bit of a financial jam so I checked it out. The credit amount is what caught my attention. My mom told me not to mess with the card and I didn't...for a little while. I gave them a call but I hung up before everything was finished. I hope [they] dont try to contact me. After reading all of the other comments, I am so disgusted. Why isn't anything being done. what is this? I should have tried to find about this card from the beginning.

Just do something about it. its effecting young people who are trying to make something of their lives. And destroying the lives of the older people who are trying to make their lives more stable.

I have bad credit due to young mistakes and I had almost fixed them all, until I recieved a letter from CCS. I am one of the stupid ones and activated my card thinking it would help build my credit and BOY was I WRONG. Anyway, I activated the card and didn't like the fees, but I willing to pay it to help out my credit.

Then I decided that I didn't want the card anymore. I called a number and sctually got someone on the phone and they told me that if I wanted to cancel my account. All I had to mail to them was my credit card number that I had with them, my name, my member number and state that I wanted my account cancelled. He was even nice enough to suggest that I send the letter through priority mail and have it where someone from the company had to sign for the letter. All would be good if the letter was received on or before April 29th.

Well here we are in May and they just took two drafts of 99.99 each. NOw my account is in overdraft!

What has this done to my life. Well I am back at square one with me fixing my credit. I will never again get a credit card again. But I have now gotten my bank involved and told them what was going on and they are looking into it and see if they can help me.

These scam artists called us trying to get us to sign up, so we gave minimal information about ourselves, and then said we were not interested. Then a few weeks later we recieved a card anyways, we called to cancel it and they said they could not do that, and since then they have charged us over 700.00, not to mention the overdraft fees they have caused, and many other issues.

I have called the company several times to cancel and tell them what i think of them, and of course there are no real people there. so i am going to the bank tomorrow to file fraud. also i am in the military and i will be going to the military officials with this, and my father works for the Office of the Inspector General, so they really dont know who they are messing with.

It has caused my credit to suffer from late payments, due to funds not being in my account to make payments. And it has cost me overdraft fees, and getting in trouble in the military (they dont like financial issues) I AM ANGRY!

I was sent a pre-approved credit card with 6,500 worth of credit. When I found out they were going to debit my checking account 200, I tried to cancel, but it's impossible to cancel it! I've taken all my money out of my account, but they still attempt to debit it every month, & my bank is charging me fees & telling me I have to get the company doing the debiting to stop. What can I do?

My checking account is overdrawn by 400 because of fees, & I don't know how to stop it.
