George of Annandale, VA January 8, 2006 George of Annandale VA (01/08/06) We have not activated this, as one might imagine, and are sending the information to the Nevada State Attorney General's office for : Telemarketing and Deceptive Trade Practices. Jamie of Apo Ap, OTHER January 4, 2006 Jamie of Apo Ap OTHER (01/04/06) Then I thought that I would reference the internet to find out more about CCS. I found very bad reviews and multiple fraud claims. I didn't have a good feeling about the company so I decided to contact them on the 1-800 number that I had received earlier. I was on hold for 3 hours and never was able to speak to a representative! I finally got through to a representative on the activation hotline and told her I wanted to deactivate my card. She told me if the 199 initial membership would put me in financial hardship then she could wave the fee to a lower cost. Each time I told her "no thank you" she proceeds to wave even more of the membership cost. After she attempted to wave the cost 3 more times she put me through to the floor manager to deactivate my card. The floor manager proceeded to go through the same routine of lowering the initial membership fee. Finally after several tries I was able to deactivate my card. I have my cancellation number and now I am waiting to see if my account gets charged. My learned lesson is that you should always research a company because sometimes the terms that they send you are not always all the information that you need to make a good decision. Dorothy of Flint, MI December 18, 2005 Dorothy of Flint, MI (12/18/05) When I would not enter it, the prompt would not let me get any further. I am still afraid that they will try to bill me for this, steal my identity or ruin my credit. Lucia of Laurel Springs, NJ December 17, 2005 Lucia of Laurel Springs, NJ (12/17/05) They cheated my 20-year old son out of 175. They passed themself as a secure credit card company with the Visa logo, but it wasn't until he recived the card that he found out it was not a credit card at all but a catalog card, of useless and cheap products. This company needs to be stopped, as is praying on the inexperienced, those who are trying to rebuild their credit, and the disabled elders. Ashley of Atlanta, GA December 6, 2005 Ashley of Atlanta, GA (12/06/05) I am in the army and just wanted a credit card and they ripped me and my family off. Advertisement
