Carla of Grand Rapids MI (01/14/08) This company continuously calls stating that it is imperative that I call them to lower my credit card interest rate. Each time I attempt to tell them my phone number is on the Do Not Call registry, they hang up, but they continue to call, sometimes 2 or 3 times a month. One occasion I asked to speak to a supervisor and was immediately hung up on. Can this outfit be reported to the Federal Trade Commission? They seem to be basically invisible and yet continue to annoy and ignore people who are on the do not call registry.
I have a real concern that they are attempting to gain personal information.
Jerryn of Rocklin, CA January 12, 2008
Jerryn of Rocklin CA (01/12/08) Five Star Bank reported inaccurate credit reports. I have letters saying they would reverse the credit reports, but they never did. I sold the building they held the mortgage on. They refuse to correct their errors. This is a standard practice of the bank. John Shelby acknowledges the error in their reporting but refuses to correct the credit report and said to go ahead and file legal action.
My credit report has dropped 80 points; I am unable to secure loan needed to operate my company. I am being turned down for credit cards over draft protection. I was denied a mortgage. This is the only late pay on my credit report. The bank's business practice has caused a lot of hardship to a lot of people.
Joe of Boston, MA January 9, 2008
Joe of Boston MA (01/09/08) I also received an unsolicited card from this company with a 6500 credit limit. I'm glad I found this site to learn that this is a scam before I activated this card. I felt compelled to post this persuade people not to activate this card. I hope I help someone before they get scammed just like this site helped me. Good luck.

Scott of Killeen, TX January 7, 2008
Scott of Killeen TX (01/07/08) I was overlooking an incomplete bank statement of a friend who moved to the USA from Germany. Although American, English is not his first language, and somehow he's been duped by this scam. This company appears to have attempted to hit him up for a trio of back-to-back fees for 99.99, 99.99, and 99.00 on at least four different occasions in a two-month time period. It looks like he got it back several times, but then they used the tactic of changing the billing name from Consumer Credit to CCS. It looks like he got taken for 400 from the scammers and 420 in overdraft fees.
