My Chase Visa credit card has been erroneously debited $1114.96. Chase Visa Customer Service, with whom I am disputing the fraudulent charges, lists them as direct marketers. The only information I am able to provide, which appears on my monthly charge card statements, is they were located in Minneapolis, MN and their phone number was 612 550-5287. I am not able to locate them in MN and the phone number has been disconnected.
The charges are being disputed with Chase Visa, disposition unknown to date since I only discovered this heinous act on 11/27/00. It may be a problem because I am disputing the charges past the 60-day limit for disputes.
Eileen should talk with the New York City Consumer Affairs Department to be certain she is aware of her rights under city and state laws.
