Received membership on 5/1/2000 which stated I could cancel within 30 days and credit card would not be charged. I called on 5/9/2000 to cancel and was told that the 30-day trial period began on the day they contacted me 4/9/2000. They promised a refund within the next two billing statements.

I contacted America's Advantage representative, Charlene, on 8/25/00 through 3-way call from my credit card company (since I could not reach America's Advantage by phone call) and was promised a refund to my credit card. No refund (as of 11/16/2000) has been received and the phone service is constantly busied out. Toll-free directory listings has no record of this company or the 1-800-845-7971 phone number. This company may go by the aliases "Triad Marketing Group", or "Triad Discount Buying."

Mark just said the magic words -- Triad Buying Group. And, sure enough, the address for America's Advantage just so happens to be the same as Best Price USA and its parent company, Triad Marketing Group. Small world, isn't it?
