I had a prescription which I specifically told the women at the counter that one drug company in particular was not effective. I asked if another drug company by name could be ordered. The women took the piece of paper to the female pharmacist at Walmart and when she came back she said they could fill it. When I picked up the presciption it was for the company I specifically asked not to have.

I am stuck with a prescription that does not help my symptoms and the pharmacist has no intention of doing anything. I don't feel I am at fault.

Michael W. Rucker of Wetumpka, AL May 13, 2008

At 5:05pm My wife and I approached the prescription drop off window,10 minutes later we were acknowledged( after 4 different associates passed by the window avoiding eye contact). We then were told there would be a 1hr wait. We were fine with that. ALMOST TWO HOURS LATER! My wife had went on home with the kids to start dinner and I was there beinig ignored once more. When I finally got somone to help me I was informed that they only had one of the two medications in stock and it would be tomorow. What ever happened to common courtesy? Somone could have let me know sooner. I may have been able to make it to another Pharmacy before they closed. The entire staff of the Wetumpka Walmart Pharmacy needs to be replaced with people who actually know what they are doing and care about the people they are serving.

Lucky for my son, his Dr. had given him a breathing treatment in the office. When we called the Dr. we were told that it would be ok to start the medication tomorrow. I only hope the medication comes in as promised. If not we will be scrambleing for another pharmacy to fill the prescription.

The Pharmacy refued to accept my debit card ( which is the same as cash ) to pay for a blood thinner prescription that was needed in an emergency situation for my brother who can not afford to pay for his medication. He is unemployed. He has had a stroke and very ill.

Meredith says it is the policy there not to accept any kind of payment over the phone. I explained that since it is Sunday and banks are not open to wire money a card would seem like the logical way to pay for medication. Is there someone who can investigate this policy which is unique to that store. IThis is not the image that Walmart advertises about being there for people on a limit income. It appears to be false Advertising.

This refusal could result in another storke for my brother at any time since it will take another two days to get him the money when my bank opens on Monday.

Out of all the pharmacist at this particular Wal-Mart, I have found ONLY ONE - Patrick - who is helpful. However, he works only during the week. My doctor made the decision to switch the dates of my regular medications from th 15th to the 10th, my insurance WOULD pay. I discussed this earlier during the week with Patrick and was assured there would be no problem. However, when I went this morning (10th) to refill my meds, the pharmacist there REFUSED, saying I would have to have a doctor call and state it was okay to fill it today.

This being Sat., I had to call the doctor on call for my doc. He did call Wal-Mart and this pharmacist STILL refused to fill it. He kept my presciptions there, not returning them to me.

I am disabled, I depend on my medications to live and when I'm assured that everything is okay, I feel violated when a weekend pharmacist makes it very clear that he will not fill my medications. I'm sick. But if Wal-Mart cannot do any better than this and if I can only have my meds filled during the week, I'd much rather go to another store that put up with this!

Went to Walmart today to get 3 RX filled. I have been getting RX's filled at the Lisbon, CT Wal-mart for 6 years. I asked about 1 RX because they did not have it in stock last time and I had to get the script back and get it filled at CVS. This time they had it in stock and told me 30 min.

I have always had positive experiences at this Wal-mart except 1 male pharmacist that worked there has absolutely zero cumtomer service or people skills. I came back 35 min. later and get in line. The cashier/tech working is very rude, curt and short with the customers. I realize they are very busy, but it was NOT me they were rude to. It was an elderly lady. I was two people behind.

When I get up there and get the total, it was far off from what I expected.....the cashier/tech did give me the option of refusing the high cost RX because I was not aware of the cost. However, I paid. I came home and looked up my benefits on my insurance and the pharmacy medications and it is on the list of approved drugs that are acceptable to my insurance. I was supposed to have to pay 25% co-pay on this med. Instead, they charged me almost the full price. Now, I understand that they are connected somehow with the insurance companies and the discounts.....but I have an extremely hard time believing this was my insurance companies fee. I have emailed my insurance company to find out what the deal is and will call tomorrow when their main office is open.

I did call Wal-mart and believe I got a male pharmacist and he was rude and arrogant. I understand what he is saying about the prices, at the same time what he said IS NOT exactly how it works. If I get feedback from my insurance company that the incorrect price was charged and further information, I will be contacting the state attorney general's office, my insurance company and other agencies in regard to the inappropriate behavior of the person I spoke with. It may be as it is and I will accept the answer of the insurance company. I will NOT continue to receive the rudeness at the pharmacy. I have always been treated nicely at this pharmacy by the regular employees and the female pharmacists. However, this newer employee and the one gentleman are totally out of line!!!

I went to the pharmacy to pick up a rx that I had called around 740 pm to find out if it was ready, I told the girl I was on my way and when I got there it was 755 pm (they close at 8)and they were just pulling down the window. I tried to explain (thru the glass window because no one would talk to me) that my son was at home with a fever of 103 and needed this medicine and they told me no, they would not give it to me because they were closed. This is the 2nd time I have had someone literally close the window in my face and tell me to come back.

I am a single parent and work full time. The closest Walmart to me is over 10 miles away. So I ended up driving 40 miles round trip both times and wasted gas, that isn't so cheap, for absolutley nothing. When I got home my son was in tears because he feels so bad. I will NEVER for any reason go back to any Walmart pharmacy's and I will make sure that everyone I know knows how horrible I have been treated. Its well worth paying the extra to go somewhere else that actally cares if their customers are happy.

I moved to Georgia, from Tennesse a few weeks ago. I had a bad tooth ache so I went to the denist and he gave me ten pain pills( Loratab- 500MG) for my pain which was for a few days. I hurt my back and went to the local Urent care center and the doctor there gave me some more pain meds ( Loratab). I also had some other medicine for back(Naproxen). I took my medicine to Wal-mart to get filled. I have Medicaide and they told me that they could fill my Naproxen , but I had to wait until tommorrow for my pain medicine , since I just had a prescription a few days ago for my tooth.

I go back first thing that next morning, cause I was in sever pain and was hurting. There was no one there to open up the store at 9:00 am that moring. Me and other customs were complaining. I over heard the pharmacy tech talking about me saying that it wasn't there fault no one was there to open up. We all had to wait on someone to come and open the store. After they open I told them my name and was there to pick up my Loratab that was on file. While I was waiting I notice the pharmacy on the phone and she called me over there to tell me she WAS NOT going to fill my pain meds and she called my doctor and she throw my prescription away. I ask her what the problem was and she could not give me one.

The day before when I drop the prescription off she Never once said there was a problem with filling my prescription. I thought since I was on Medicaide, that was the problem and I offered to pay cash for them ,but she Never once gave me a reason why she throwed my pain medicine away. I am not a person who takes pain medicine on a daily basic or anything. My sister was there with me when all this happen and she is a nurse and she told the pharmacy just to give us the prescription back and we will get it filled some where else but the pharmacy told us no. My sister told her that she was breaking the law, and she told my sister that she didn't know the law. My siter told her off.

I WILL NEVER- EVER GO TO WAL-MART FOR ANYTHING ELSE. I believe this pharmacy is using pain medcine for her self and she just got her 30 Loratab. My pain medcine that I needed. I went back to the same doctor and talk to him about what happen and the pharmacy made it out like I was abusing pain medcine. So, the doctor gives me some non- norcotic pain medcine. I do not appreciate the pharmacy making me out to be a drugy and making my new doctor think that also. I know something needs to be done. Help....

I started having panic attacks and was in severe pain for hours.

Went to get two prescriptions filled for wife. One in 45 minutes, great. Theother would be ready the next day, okay no problem. WQent back to same store this noon pharmaacy closed for lunch 12:30 to 1:30 Okay. Got in line at 1;20, got to window at 2:00. Told there was a problem with the remaining one and go to the first window and find out. Again, no problem just disappointed that it was to be ready first thing, but okay.

Got to window and was told Go stand behind the red line I told the female that I had been told to go to her window and she repeated Go stand behind the red line. As I stood behind the red line muttering unprintable things under by breath, the same prson had a lady younger than me, Oh I'm 70 have heart and high blood presure problems, just walk up to her window and she helped her with a smile.

When it got to be my turn, I was told that the item wasa not covered by insurance (Wrong I found out when I contacted the insurance company) and it would be 97.32. I explained that as my wife was ill, need the medcican and would pay for it as I told the lady that helped me the night before. But since I had her attention I explained in a voice loud enough to be heard afew asles away, That I will be really happy when Target opens in north Visalia so we can transfer all our meds there. This was the most screwed up operation and down right ruddest group of people I had ever been around and the next time I get told to Stand behind the red line I will be it sure as hell will not be in this Wal Mart store.

No damages, just highly elevated blood pressure and stressed condition

Steven of Tucker, GA April 22, 2008

Rite Aid would give me a partial fill to last. Other pharmacies work with with me to et an partional fill to last fill until the rest of the prescription.
