I was taking the adderall 20mg tablets that were recalled by Barr in August of 2009. The pills were distributed from June through August, and it's clear that I had taken the affected meds for more than one full month. The recall states that the tablets exceed weight requirements which can lead to super potent tablets. I knew something wasn't right for weeks before I had had any reaction. I was constantly thirsty, my ankles were swollen. On 8/1/09, I had what I believe to be some sort of seizure due to an overdose at my job. I woke up at my house 12 hours later and it's evident that I had left work. I don't remember anything except having heard voices and saw people at the counter who weren't really there (it was a dunkin donuts job inside a gulf station).
I now have hypertension. (this was yesterday at an appt) My blood pressure was well above 140/90. There's no doubt in my mind that it won't go down due to serious changes in my body due to the toxic doses of amphetamines I took for an extended period of time unknowingly. I have some nights where I can lay in bed until the sun comes out and not be able to fall asleep. I lost a 300+ dollar a week job and I am disabled from the get-go with Nail Patella Syndrome so this incident with the adderall is the final straw for me. I was denied the opportunity for a job at the convenience store across the street that is run by the same person as the gulf I worked in. The manager Christine and I quote "won't even think about hiring [me] you after [what] you pulled across the street" even after I told her about the recall and how it wasn't my fault. This was back in September. If you look in the Nashua telegraph today, you'll see an ad for a cashier, weekends a must, contact Christine 90 broad street. this is so hurtful.
