Spectrum Home Furnishings of Farmingdale, N.J. is recalling about 165 crystal chandeliers.
They contain a mounting loop that can fail during use causing the chandeliers to fall from the ceiling and injure bystanders under the chandelier.
The firm has received five reports of the chandeliers falling from the ceiling. No injuries have been reported. Approximately $1,000 in property damage has been reported.
The recall involves three models of chandeliers with model numbers a83-21502/36+1, a83-1502/36+1 and a46-490/30 printed on the exterior of the box in which the products were shipped. Models a83-21502/36+1 and a83-1502/36+1 are clear crystal chandeliers measuring about 52-inches wide and 60-inches high. Both models have idenitcal appearance, with one model number containing a different type of crystal.
