The company said some lower control link assemblies might not be properly welded. If the weld separates, vehicle handling could be affected, possibly causing a crash. The affected models and model years are:
The affected vehicles were manufactured from November 19, 2009 through March 3, 2010. Dealers will repair the vehicles free of charge when the recall begins in June. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261. Consumers may contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY: 1-800-424-9153) or at www.safercar.gov.
