Mazda Recalls 2007-2009 CX9 Models

March 2, 2009
Mazada is recalling about 30,000 CX9 vehicles from the 2007-2009 model years because of a problem with the power seat's position memory function.

The company said there is a possibility that a short circuit under the seat cushion could cause the seat to move uncontrollably, possibly increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect the seat harness free of charge when the recall begins March 9.

Owners may contact Mazda at 1-800-222-5500.

Consumers may contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY: 1-800-424-9153) or at www.safercar.gov.
