ConsumerAffairs.com Announces Isertive® Instant Response

New service helps companies head off consumer satisfaction problems

LOS ANGELES, August 10, 2009 — ConsumerAffairs.com is offering consumer-focused companies the opportunity to be immediately alerted to problems with their products and services, through its new Isertive® Instant Response service.

"The Internet has empowered consumers to share their experiences about products and services, enabling them to make wiser decisions and stretch their dollars farther than ever before," said ConsumerAffairs.com President James R. Hood.

"Now it's time for companies to harness the power of the Internet to make their goods and services more valuable than ever before and to head off minor problems before they become major calamities," Hood said.

Isertive® Instant Response provides companies with an immediate alert when ConsumerAffairs.com processes a complaint about them and enables them to respond directly to the consumer to start the remediation process, Hood said. Companies can also submit responses for publication by ConsumerAffairs.com.

Hood said the service will be offered only to companies approved in advance by ConsumerAffairs.com. "This is not a tip sheet for scam artists," he said. "It is a legitimate and valuable tool for companies that sincerely seek to provide their customers with world-class products and services."

The Isertive® Instant Response service is being offered initially to selected companies who have previously responded positively and substantively to consumer complaints filed with ConsumerAffairs.com. Companies wishing to pre-enroll should contact Michelle Salazar at 213 503-7106. Her email is msalazar@consumeraffairs.com.

ConsumerAffairs.com was established in 1998 to provide consumers with news, reviews and resources that empower them to make wise decisions and take effective action when products and services disappoint them.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, the advertising-supported Web site serves about 1.5 million readers per month. Isertive is a registered trademark of The Oakton Press, Inc.
