Purchasing my new pet from Shake A Paw had been a wonderful experience. I recently acquired a cute little mini poodle who was really easy to teach and very sweet. I could find every wonderful product I needed. I had a very pleasant experience. The staff members were all incredibly friendly. Others who are looking for pets should come here, in my opinion.

Deprivation of animal life, and an inability to sustain life when it matters. The suffering I witnessed eclipses the worst dreams I ever had. There is also the human suffering component. At the time of sale, there is no real-time evaluation to determine the health of the puppy. Disease has an incubation period - my truly awful experience is proof of that. The NY Attorney General has an active lawsuit in which a temporary restraining order forced the closure due to the alleged conditions. They have since reopened. If you walk by the store, just cross the street. No words. Case status - ongoing --**

I went in looking for a hypoallergenic pup and asked the sales rep multiple times what the breed would be better, a cavapoo or a labradoodle, I was assured that the labradoodle would be the best match for me and my husband as we are both allergic. The next day I was already sick, I called the shop and the owner John said that all sales are final and that a lot goes into owning a puppy and that I should have taken that into consideration. I explained that I came to them because I thought I would be getting the correct education and that I wouldn’t be ill. He was condescending and pretty much told me all sales are final go give the puppy up for adoption.

I work in the area and finally decided to walk in on a Sunday, next thing I knew I was being assisted by Micheal and in a puppy room bonding with an adorable puppy being given all kinds of surprising information from the puppy's exact date of birth to the names of his parents. Even payment plans available and exactly what is included in those plans. I was surprised to say the least about just how much background they have on all their puppies. The next day I was still thinking about the experience and ultimately decided I'm getting a puppy though Micheal was not there. I was assisted by Tito who reinforce all the information and did everything possible to get that little puppy to come home and after a bath and nail clippings provided in shop for every puppy going home he was on his way. I've never expected to walk out with a puppy that day walking in but no regrets here!

It’s been a great experience getting my new pet from Shake A Paw. I got the best little mini poodle and he is so sweet and has been so easy to train. Came in for my reload of dog food and treats worked with Tina and she was amazing. she referred all the great products that all need to keep him in optimal health. She suggested great teething toys, food, treats, and a probiotic that I’ll be using moving forward. I’ll make sure to come back to the store for all my supplies moving forward. My pup Soca and I are very happy!!!

Tina at Shake a Paw was so incredible! From the moment I walked in I knew I was in good hands as Tina helped me chose the right breed for my current living situation as well as finding the perfect companion for my existing pets!

Choosing the right pet that would be the perfect addition to our family. Tina was so knowledgeable about all the dog breeds for sale. This helped me immensely choose the right pet and the one that would get along well with my other dogs and cats.

Second time using Shake a Paw for our maltipoo. Tina and the rest of the crew were fantastic. We only came back because we had such a great time with our first dog, who’s been a dream. Tina and the rest of the team answered all our questions and handled our maltipoo perfectly. We’d come back a third time!

It’s tough to walk in here without leaving with a new puppy. Tina was a tremendous help the first puppy we bought and gave the same high quality service the second time around. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for their next fur baby.

We bought a Shih Tzu puppy from Tina from Lynbrook Shake a Paw a year ago. It is the first year anniversary. The puppy is healthy and doing great. It was a memorable experience to buy a puppy from here and thanks to Tina.

We bought our puppy here during Covid. I was very concerned about buying from a pet store but it was an awesome experience. We got our 9 week old puppy from shake a paw who is nothing but a healthy bundle of joy... and now 10 months old. I am so happy to have this amazing fur baby. Thanks Shake a Paw!

We purchased our dog from Shake-A-Paw two years ago this November! I am a first time dog owner, my husband grew up with dogs his whole life, and Tom was able to answer all of my questions and left me feeling confident!! Since, I have gone back countless times to pick up food, bedding, toys, treats, and all of my dog's other needs. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful!! Highly recommend!!

Avoid at all costs! My boyfriend recently bought me a Boxer puppy from this place. 3 days later the puppy became critically ill. We took the puppy to the vet of Shake a Paw's choosing where we were told the puppy was so sick she needed to be rushed to a 24 hour emergency care. We later found out that the puppy had HERPES, PNEUMONIA, and MYCOPLASMA. Even after a vet sent an official Certification of Unfit Sale meaning that the puppy should have never been sold, Shake a Paw is still refusing to give us a refund. We found out from the vet that it is state law that the pet store has to refund us the money and it has been past their window of opportunity to return us the money and still nothing. Shake a Paw still has the dog and yet we have no dog and no refund. Absolutely disgusting place.

First time buying a puppy, was easy and fast, many breeds, mixes and ages of dogs to choose from, workers very nice, my helper Tina made the process understandable and easy. Also provides a mini supply and accessories for your puppy. Big place, surprised.

We had a wonderful experience and Michael was an outstanding and knowledgeable point person. He answered all our questions and was patient when we called back for more help. Our new addition came to us in perfect condition and highly recommend Shake A Paw.

I really had a wonderful experience at Shake A Paw in Lynbrook purchasing my beautiful fur baby Bailey. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly especially Tina. The store was extremely clean. I would definitely purchase another fur baby there in the future. Go back often for products for my love.

James & Kevin were extremely helpful in providing the best service possible. They were very knowledgeable on the care of my new puppy. They provided many tips to ensure my puppy would be happy and healthy. I visited many pet stores to find the perfect dog for me. Going to Shake-a-Paw for the first time for my first pet it was honestly a wonderful experience, Ed and Tina are the best they explained everything to me in a very respectful way and you can really see their passion for all the pets and the customers. 5 stars for me!!!
