Negative Option: When No Means Yes

VistaPrint's business cards are fine but from what we hear, VistaPrint has a nasty habit of herding their customers into MWI's fleecing arena. The company says it's just not so.

D. of Rensselaer, NY November 19, 2009

I've been ordering business cards, post cards, magnets and many other promotional products from Vistaprint for YEARS and have NEVER had a complaint about their charges, service, shipping, quality, or their design software. EVERY product I've ordered, whether from one of their great FREE (pay only s/h) promotions or for a 'paid for' item has been of completely satisfying quality. Photo resolution from uploaded designs have been spectacular to say the least.

Buyers need to take responsibility for their own decisions and actions. READ before you click - it's not that hard. If you're seeing recurring charges, it's because you selected a 'reward' or other 'cross promotional' offer before checkout, without reading any of the details. Vistaprint is an excellent company with extremely user friendly design software, fair s/h charges and options, and great promotional offers. I will continue to choose Vistaprint over any of their competitors, and I'll continue to READ and/or DECLINE any offers that appear just before checkout, if I'm not interested in them.

Glenda of Coeur d'Alene, ID November 19, 2009

About 7 months ago I ordered some business cards from VistaPrint. There wasn't a problem with the cards. I paid for them and haven't ordered anything else from them. This month we noticed 2 14.95 charges on our credit card. My husband asked me if I had bought or ordered anything. I told him I had not ordered anything. He checked our credit card billings and we had been billed this amount for the past 4 months. I called the VistaPrint company and asked them what was going on and they said I joined their membership. I told them I had never joined anything. They said very calmly they would remove my name and give me back the money for the past month. They frauded us out of 120. This is a company that is a scam. Look on the internet and see how many people have been frauded by them. They look like they are running a legitimate company but when they get your name and credit information they keep billing it until you notice it and call them. I wonder how much money they are making with this scam?

Shirley of cibolo, TX November 18, 2009

I have placed several orders with Vista Print, but this time there were several offers and I declined them all. Today while cleaning up my e-mail list I notice an email about a membership, and since I haven't join anything I open it and learned they are going to debit my credit card for 14.95 for a membership I have not ordered. I am very disappointed in that I ordered from Vista and now this company have my information. I am concern and wants to know what can I do?

Vistaprint.com is GREAT! Whenever they've made a mistake on my order, it was corrected, immediately, and reshipped. Yes! I was once suprised by the 14.95 charge. I simply missed the "fine print". Well... For the complainers... Know that all it takes is to be thoroughly discerning, not hurried, and Internet savvy. Or else, reframe from purchasing via the Internet. They did immediately refund my charges that went on for a few months in my bank account also, without my awareness. THE REPS ARE ALWAYS KIND, PATIENT, AND THOROUGH. I feel absolutely safe and comfortable shopping with Vistaprint.com!

willow of Seattle, WA November 13, 2009

I just learned from my bank that since July of 2006 VP rewards has been taking 23.95 directly out of my personal bank account monthly. I contacted VP rewards immediately and they claim that I clicked on a POP-up to receive a 10.00 rebated and was automatically signed up. Upon contacting VP rewards they claimed they were not affiliated with Vista Print and additionally had my last name incorrect and yet were withdrawing from my account monthly. I had no idea and never received a confirmation of the membership nor the 10.00 rebate. I have used Vista Print to print the business cards and t-shirts of my small business since 2005. I feel completely ashamed i did not notice this before and assumed it was one of the many bills automatically withdrawn from my account.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! I ordered checks from Vista Print and I will never again. They charged me 14.95 for a service thru BusinessMax123.com I will never order again from them. They charged me for two months. I didnt even realize it. I called BusinessMax and they said they would refund me but we will see!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! I sent them a very nasty email! I will never order checks from the internet again. Always go thru your bank it is worth the money!! Thanks Vista Print for showing me how fradulant internet companies can be!!

Rich of r, NY November 7, 2009

VistaPrint not only overcharged me and didn't deliver my product (until I repeatedly called and proved it) they hung up on me when I spoke to their rep.

terry of concord, CA November 6, 2009

I ordered checks from this company & paid 30 for Priority shipping & the item was sent by UPS ground shipping, the slowest possible shipping.

Dee of Roanoke, VA November 4, 2009

I have ordered the Free business cards from them, and now I've ordered cards that I've paid for. I've never had a problem. Yes, at the end of ordering my cards they have page after page of offers. It only took me 5 minutes to decline all of their offers. I felt it was worth my time to get their very attractive pricing, because their quality is very good. Their website design software is pretty user friendly. I will continue to use their service.

Jennifer of Durango, CO November 1, 2009

I know how to use the website and read so I don't get charged items that I don't purchase. A majority of the time I get a full cart of FREE items and only pay shipping. Instead of complaining, people should read what they are getting.
