I too have been victimized with this scam/infectious email to my entire address book since early this year (2009). As I am in active job search, it has also gone to potential employers. How utterly ashamed I am of this happening. It has gone to family, friends and business associates throughout the country. It has gone to companies I am trying to send follow up emails, introductory emails, and general contact emails to. How can this be allowed to happen without any consequence? I have aleardy spent $85. with McAfee to remove the worm from my computer but now its back. I have lost my address book several times not to mention the embarrassment to me and inconvenience to everyone in my address list. This simply must stop! If you are unable to assist who can?
Like the others, somehow a spam type e-mail was sent from my Yahoo account to every contact I had in Yahoo contacts. Then all my contacts were deleted. Embarrassed, I used my sent email to reply to all and tell my friends and family that it was some type of hoax and not to click on any link going to Stuffunion.com. My hope was to warn my friends off, but it also gave me an easy way to resave my contacts.
I changed my password, but I'm still getting frequent MAILER-DAEMON failure notice e-mails in my Inbox saying that an e-mail failed to be delivered. These failure notices are for messages that I never sent. I came to the conclusion that when someone sends an e-mail to me, the Yahoo server automatically sends the same hoax e-mail as a reply to the sender. I tried this by sending an e-mail from another account, and sure enough, I got the hoax e-mail sent to me. I will contact Yahoo with what I'm seeing, and probably create a new account.

This is how it all starts... I never opened it or had anything to do with them. They wiped out my address book. They email all my contacts the same thing. This has been going on for 3 months. What do I do? They still email me and all my contacts! Help!
This company called Stuffunion.com somehow hacked into my e-mail, sent advertisement letters to all my contacts then deleted all my contacts. The contacts who new me realized by the use of poor English in the letters that it did not come from me. However, my business contacts must think I'm insane and this is going to cost me a lot of business! The hackers (which I believe came through my Google account, also changed my e-mail settings to send out a vacation notice response to any incoming e-mails. Lord knows what else they've done.
I have suffered immeasurable business losses from this event. I had three years worth of customer e-mail addresses in my contacts so I could send e-mail notices of our upcoming day-camps and lesson programs. Most of my students are children whose parents will withdraw their business from us if they think we are either trying to get them involved in some kind of unrelated business (scam), or are crazy enough to send them ad mails.

hi, I was surfing on the internet and I found a website which is solding brand new electronic stuff, I was very surprised by their answers in a positive way, so I decided to buy a playstation 3 and games, first I thaught I did a good deal, but finally when I payed 5 days later they asked me for taxes and ship coasts which were not mentionned in the beginning and I even asked for it and she said NO. Then I was like okay I wanna get my package as soon as possible, so I payed, and since that day no answers....
Just like other have reported, this miserable company somehow circulated multiple emails using my contact list. The emails gave the appereance that I had sent them from my Yahoo email. This scam somehow by passed the ATT Norton protection
Just now I went to use my contacts and the entire book is gone, erased! I too fear that more damage was done, that information was stolen so I am going to take the laptop to Best Buy for a diagnostic test.
Hate to sound repetitive, but the exact same thing happened to me that's being described in these entries: hacked e-mail address, mass e-mail, deleted contacts, altered signature, and auto-response enabled. After reading all of this stuff about a new worm circulating, I am afraid something might happen on my PC, but it seems like this is unrelated.
Is there a way to stop this and can I see that this never happens again?
Regardless of where this company is based, this must be an illegal practice and surely this company can be prohibited from using the Internet in this manner.
On 01/18/09 at 5:04 am I had as many as 25 emails that looked like they were sent from me to people in my contact list, plus 15 + emails that showed a failed email delivery from the post office again using names from my contact list. Many of my contacts are from my church so all this mess made me look really bad. I feel really abused from all of this. I had calls all day from family/friends wanting to know what I was doing.
I had been cyber scammed, my identy stolen all from this stuffunion. They also took my entire contact list. They caused me some great problems in trying to put back my credability with my family & friends. It took me hours to clean up this mess they created. They caused me great pain, since sitting st the computer is not good for my neck. Someone needs to find these people and get this stopped.
Stuff Union hacked into my Gmail account and sent emails to all of my contacts, posing as me. They erased all of my contacts, changed my personal signature on outgoing emails to be their sales propaganda and changed my settings so that my account would automatically respond to any incoming emails with their sales email. Infuriating!

They infiltrated my e-mail account in the early morning hours of Jan. 17, 2009, sent out a spam e-mail to everyone in my address book as if it came from me, then deleted everyone in my address book.
This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I run Norton and Webroot daily, but I guess this can't stop anyone from penetrating your e-mail address book. They still must have access to my e-mail, because sentences are being added to my e-mails I sent out yesterday. They're not appearing in my sent e-mail folders, but when I get a response with my original e-mail included, I notice the additions.
Today, 01/19/2009 I started to get emails back from my contacts saying that I sent the the attached email. I did not. This company hacked my contacts and sent their advertisement to everyone. I sent them an email telling them to get off of my system. Do not know if it happened before or after my email, but all of my contacts were deleted. Fortunately, they were sitting in my trash file where I could restore them. If I had deleted the trash file first, I would have been out of luck.

They used my Yahoo contact list to send out advertisements about China under my name. Then my entire contact list was deleted.

Someone hacked into my google gmail account and sent an e-mail to every one of my contacts telling them to go to stuffunion. They also changed my vacation responder to respond to people to go to stuffunion.
Apparently stuffununion hacked into my contact list and has sent emails from my address trying to sell there product. I dont know how they did this or how to stop it. This has happened over the last 2 weeks.

Someone hacked into my contact list on hotmail live and sent an email to all. The contents had to do with a company in china which is an agent of all the well-known digital product factories.... Fortunately a number of the messages went undelivered.
Not only did they invade my Contact List, they actually stole it. It (the list) is no longer available on my computer.

I don't know if anything else on my computer was damaged or stolen. Everyone in my address book may have had this passed on to them. I ran virus scan and nothing showed up. I don't know if this will happen again and I don't know how they got into my computer in the first place. How can I be sure this won't happen again? How can this be brought down?

StuffUnion has been repeatedly contacted to cease and desist sending marketing materials to my personal email contacts (the company somehow hacked into my email account and has been sending promotions to my personal contacts using my hotmail account as a guise to gain access). Since, my request has gone unoticed I am sending this notice to you and a host of my contacts to be aware of this scam and requesting a fraud alert be issued to advertise their fraudulent activities. Again, I have asked my friends to disregard any emails sent to them via my email address in regard to Stuff Union to promote this company. I have no affiliation with them and I am currently trying to recover from cyber identity theft.
Trust. If any contact were to inadvertantly purchase an item from this company thinking I recommended the service and they were defrauded or taken advantage of in someway I would feel responsible. Writing to you for assistance is my way of being proactive in warding off pending danger to my online name being used in a scam or more importantly having become a victim of cyber identity theft.
