Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I had a great experience with Pretty Stores. I found a reproduction of Barcelona chair online and was initially hesitant about sending money overseas. But I took a chance and I'm glad I did. The customer service was very helpful. We used IM to talk about the product and the shipping. I paid and held my breath. Would they follow through after receiving $472 USD for the chair and shipping? What about the timeframe? The quality?

Well, I am pleased to report that my chair arrived within 3 weeks! It's a terrific-quality chair. It doesn't give any odor, the steel frame is solid so there will be no joints to loosen over time and it's comfortable. I have sat in this chair for literally 5 hours straight as I read a book cover to cover and never felt better. I love it! And I get compliments on it all the time.

We were selling 2 sofas, 2 Barcelona chairs, and 1 Barcelona bench at around USD 800 total using high grade leather to a customer named Diana ** from Seattle, and shipped the items on time and up to standards. This woman didn't buy insurance herself, and had the items crashed by the US customs without compensation from insurance company. Then she used bad reviews to threat for money from us. She is a very bad buyer with intentions to rob from others, and we reserve the rights to take actions against her for defamation. She wrote untrue reviews on resellerratings.com, and she is dishonest, only want to rob money from others.

In February, I placed an order and four months later, I went through: Increase of shipping fee due to high season with a $100, not mentioned in the first proposed/accepted fee increase of shipping fee offered by shipping company; Delay of initial mentioned dates; Failed to provide six ordered chairs; Reimbursed for their cost but not for the shipping fee negotiated based on the total expected purchase; Expected two tones of gray and negotiated in February/March, accepted change to black and gray; Immediately tear of the leather at the Barcelona chair at the clip on the back upon putting the furniture together; Some rust and filthy legs; Chrome finish rather than stainless steel; Two sofas completely damaged during shipment. No advise, not even a hint of suggested freight insurance, let alone denied by us.

I have two damaged sofas, a chair that start wreaking a smelling house with a child with asthma; Increased costs and a couple of insulting letters, to quote, "Maybe I can help you to amend the damage, but that is from my kindness not the responsibility, and your attitude makes me feel bad. From the start you are counting every penny, pushing to refund. Don't try to put you as a God that you spent little money but want to get all things. All your unreasonable requests are denied. We don't accept. If you want to take this case to lawsuit, that is great. We will await your actions."
