i bought a domain through godaddy. i used paypal. but they did not confirm the purchase like when i usually make a paypal purchase. so, i was not able to change where to get the money out of my paypal account. so, my bank account was charged. i did not have any money in my bank account, only my credit card. so, i kept getting over the limit fees and i could not add to my account. i accrued an almost 75 over the limit fee after 3 attempts.

i contacted paypal on the phone and in email. my email was not answered. plus, the person on the phone said i might need to make a complaint to consumer affairs. also, one more complaint about paypal before i go. i wanted a refund on an ebook i bought. the person over the phone said that nonphysical items are not covered by paypal's refund policy. that means ANYTHING that you buy over the internet, software, ebooks, etc.

This book i bought even had ebook security that if i refunded they could stop me from using my copy. so how could i rip them off? i just wanted a refund because i tried to contact them and they took a long time to respond plus i had paid more and was given the lesser priced product and i had a deadline which i missed because they didn't answer in time. they gave me a refund anyway. so, i think nonphysical items should be covered by the paypal refund policy.

On Thursday, March 19, 2009, I went to my online bank accout to check my checking account. I found a Paypal charge for 617. I immediately called my bank. My bank told me that the transaction came from a purchase made via PAYPAL. I then logged onto my Paypal account and sure enough, there was the transaction for 617 by a company I had never heard of. Apparently, the so Secure (NOT) paypal system had allowed someone to get to my account and my bank account.

I called and the first three folks I talked to gave me their canned responses about waiting 4 - 10 days for them to correct the issue. I explained to them that after the 617 debit that I had only 3 left. They did not understand or try to understand that I would have to go 4 - 10 days with 3. Finally, they connected me to the Executive Office. This lady gave me the same only being less understanding. Trying to explain how the bank and federal reserve works. I wasn't interested in this. I just wanted to get my money back so that I wouldn't go 4 - 10 days without any funds. They did not understand the position that this put me in.

None of them tried thinking outside the box to try to help me get my money back. All stuck to 4 - 10 days. Now that's some customer service or way to care about a customer; asking him to go 4 - 10 days without any money. It was paypay's fault but they did not own up to helping me with my situation. Their customer service and policies stink!

I was a loyal customer for over 4 years and was about to convince a non-profit organization to use them. But with this type of stuff. I won't do that and I closed my account. I understand that hacking accounts and identity theft are reality. Though, I expect a company to own up to it and handle each customer/incident uniquely; not with canned automated response.

On October last year we bought 2 iPhones from overseas on eBay ( Transaction ID# 1DU6463941359343T) totaling 1,309.55 US Dollars, transaction which was paid using Paypal. The seller never sent the iPhones but a Lacoste Polo Tshirt instead. We contact him and he refused to be honest and refund the money, so we open a dispute with Paypal.

After supplying Paypal with all evidence and even a Police report Paypal refused to refund the money on the claim that something was indeed received from the seller, even if it was a TShirt. This is complete Bogus, Paypal is enabling foreign criminals to steal money from honest people even having the power to do something. Lost 1,309.55 US Dollars

Several requests to return my 80.00 this dispute has been open since 12/08 On 2/3/09 i was told that 80 was accepted in my checking accout. THIS WAS NEVER RECEIVED. I was told that I would have to wait until 3/3/ to file a dispute? On 3/3 I called and they told me I would hear in 24 to 48 hours. NOTHING. 5 phones calls, numerous times on hold, and still nothing.

Im a single mom working 2 jobs. The long distance phone calls, the time wasted, and the 80 dollars....its alot of money for me. FRUSTRATION

Refuses to return 85.47 to me they gave to McAfee who returned the money to PayPal after I complainted that I had not ordered the product charged for nor had I authorized PayPal to make a payment from my account. I have emailed them, I have called them (Antone) I have writted them and, since January 28, 2009, when the payment was made have had no luck in getting my money back. They just won't respond.

I cancelled my account with PayPal to avoid any more unauthorized payments to anyone. In checking the Web, I find pages of complaints from people who say PayPal have allegedly ripped them off and they are still trying to get their money returned to them and the biggest problem is trying to get PayPal either on the phone or to reply to emails. I certainly could use the 85.47 more than PayPal and I feel that this is outright robbery on PayPal's part.

85.47 withdrawn from my account caused my mortage payment to be short. It also means my wife and I had to share the cat's food.
