Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I ordered from KBG and never received my product from the company. I ordered this 7 weeks ago. They refused to refund my money and I had to take them to the Better Business Bureau. When I bought the offer, they said it could take 2 to 4 weeks. I first wrote them at four and a half weeks after I ordered and they told me to keep waiting and that it will come. After still not receiving it, they are now telling me I only had 10 days after ordering to request money back which makes no sense because I was told to wait 2-4 weeks to receive it. Beware, they are scammers. Google "KGB scam" and you will see what I mean.

I purchased three Fandango.com movie vouchers for 2 persons each. Two of them do not work when the voucher/coupon code is entered on digitaldoorstep.com. I receive a message that either the codes don't exist or that they have expired. KGB deals claims they have no record of the purchases with my email address, yet when I go to their site, using my email address, I am able to see my purchase history. I have been cheated out of $48 worth of movies. KGB deals is an unscrupulous business and should be shut down.

I purchased a deal for a trash can. When I tried to get it following their instructions, the website they directed me to did not work. I sent them several e-mails, always receiving a computerized response. One time, a woman named Rose called, but I did not hear from them again. They are ripping people off. How can they be stopped and what can you do?

Do not use KGB.com. It is a scam. They engage in false advertising and will not issue refunds for not being able to fulfill! KGB advertises a service that is "suppose" to provide answers to SMS text questions for $0.99 per question (sort of like an "amplified" Google). Well, I used the service to try and find the name of a song (I gave them two sentences from the song) but I was told that they were not able to find an answer. So, to the normal person, this should warrant a refund however, when I requested one, I was told that I would not be issued a refund and that I could get a credit instead. Well clearly, I'm not interested in using a service again if it was unsuccessful the first time, so I contacted the customer service department (which was a big mistake because it is the most rude, incompetent and careless service you will ever come across) and was basically told that "no". I'm not getting a refund and was immediately hung up on. I was shocked. It wasn't like I was asking for anything out of the ordinary. I was asking for my money back for a service that they did not provide (in their own words).

I called back and spoke with the same gentlemen (his name was "Brian," apparently they only have one person working customer service) and asked if he had a manager, he said no! So I asked if he "owned" KGB and he said no. Clearly, this was going no where fast and this only made my frustration worse. How can a company collect money under false pretenses like this? They're advertising a service that they are not able to provide but not offering refunds? They are collecting money under false pretenses and scamming people! Sure it's only a dollar, but it does ad up. The right thing to do is offer a refund if you are unable to provide the service you are advertising. Bottom line, do not use this service! KGB.com is a big fat scam, if it can be Googled, just do it yourself. Also after you text them a question, they flood your cellphone with other subsequent random text messages for other services! They are false advertising because they did not answer my question, nor did they offer a refund for not being able to do so. What kind of legitimate operation is this. Do not use KGB.COM!
