Nan of Ottawa, Ontario writes (10/21/01):
I had sent a postal money order dated 6/22/01 for $ 5.97 in exchage for a DVD rental. To date I have not received any DVD nor my money back.

Can you trust any e-commerce site after this incident where this portal has robbed me blind? I was careful not to send my credit card. What would have been the consequences if I had sent in my credit card details? This guy would be holidaying in Aruba with my money.

We'd say Nan is a little overheated. Losing $5.97 is hardly being "robbed blind." Perhaps the DVD went astray in the mail? Such things do happen, after all. And on the matter of payment, if Nan had used a credit card, it would be a simple matter to dispute the charge and be done with it rather than being out the blinding sum of $5.97.
