I placed an order on June 30, 2011 and provided them the correct billing and shipping address. They forwarded it to the wrong address and informed me I would need to drive there (which would be a 9-hour drive each way) to pick it up or have a friend or relative send it to me. UPS informed me that all they had to do was send a new shipping address label; and they would pick it up and deliver. They would not even do that. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They have very poor customer service.

The comforter looked great but fell apart when we washed it (before using it). Tried several times to contact the company with no response. Their return policy states that they will not accept returns of linens that have been laundered. If we had never washed it, it might have been ok but who never washes their linens?????
I ordered a 1500 TC Italian-made Egyptian cotton sheet set. It pulled after the first washing and the company turned an indifferent cheek; pretty much said "shove it". Don't do business with these rip-off artists. Misrepresents the product, as well as their 100% satisfaction guarantee. Now, I know better.
I purchased a bed in a bag. It took about two weeks to arrive. Once I opened the box I found that the stitching on the comforter less than acceptable. And that is putting it lightly. So the first thing I did was to write a review on their website. A few days later they removed it. They also charge you for the return and if you had free shipping they charge you for that as well. 100% satisfaction on their site is a lie.
I was placing an order and was blown out of the system. I then logged back in and order placed my order again not knowing the first order took resulting in a duplicate order. I attempted to contact the Egyptian Peddler vendor many times via email or phone and either the email was rejected or I went into voice mail and had to leave a message. I advised them of my issue stating I only wanted one (1) item and there was a duplcate order. They posted 2 charges to my account and had my MC numbers.
After repeated attempts to cancel only one order of the duplicate and no answer either way, I cancelled my credit card in the fear I was being frauded. I am appalled that no one would even answer me on normal business hours. Not sure of as of this time, but my credit card company cancelled my account at my request. I felt something was not right.
I ordered an 8-piece comforter set and it's been about 2 weeks and have not received it. I emailed them and stated in my email that if I do not receive it, I will report the company to the BBB and make sure I post that the company is a fraud. The company replied "Relax". I paid upfront the comforter and expected to receive it promptly like I paid them on time.
I ordered a full sized comforter from the company's website, which states that all items are 100% Organic, hand picked top quality Egyptian cotton. When the product arrived, it was 100% polyester, cheaply made, and queen-sized. I returned the package UPS exactly according to instructions, which cost about $30.00. I waited for two weeks after the UPS tracking record indicated that the packaged had been received by Egyptian Peddler, but my credit card account was not credited. I tried calling but was not able to talk to a person. I finally got a response after I e-mailed, but I didn't think that I should have had to do that. Because the product was misrepresented, I should have been reimbursed for the postage, which I requested but did not receive. I will not do business with this company again.
I was hoping someone finally report this company. I had purchased the so called 1,500 thread count sheets about a year ago, and when I received them they were stiff as a board. Now, that was understandable since they where new. So when I called the company and spoke with the owner, I thought he told me that the 1,500 were very thick, "which was true", but to wash them and use fabric softener to help.
The funny thing is, that if you do this, it also breaks the return agreement that they put in the bag with the sheets! Anyway, I have owned these for about a year now, washing them and using fabric softener, and they still are not what you would think a smooth silky 1,500 thread count would be, oh and yes I have had to sew some of the ripping seams myself.
The best one is, after buying them I noticed they were offering the same sheets on eBay, for about $100 less than what I paid. When I called them to ask if they would refund the difference, since I wasn't happy with them in the first place, they would not! These guys are scam artists! Do not purchase anything from them at all, just go to a store like JC Penny or whatever, and this way, you know you will be taken care of, even if you have a problem with them. You always get what you pay for! There are not awesome deals that aren't without consequences!
I ordered a 11 piece bed group from the website. After ordering, I noticed the picture of the set on the site had changed and the price had dropped by $30. Alarms went off a bit, but I held on to see what product was shipped. Sure enough, they sent the inferior cheap product and charged me the higher price. The prodcut was horrible - terrible stitching and nylon fabric from a cheap sleeping bag. I sent it back the day of receipt and now over a month later have not received a refund. Terrible product, terrible service. Never, never, order from this website.
prdered a full size bedskirt. did not like the color. returned it at my expense($10.35). recieved the exchanged bedskirt. it was obviously used/returned previously. the plastic packaging was opened, the bedskirt was dirty and covered with pethair. and they had the nerve to charge my credit card $6.00 for the shipping. i've called and emailed, but have gotten no response. do not order from this website.
I ordered 2 sets of 100% egyptian cotton itailian made sheets, 1500 thread count. I paid about 400 for the two sets. After using the sets only 2 times the sheets pilled. I emailed the company customer service, as advised by website. The response from them was that they could offer a new set of sheets at a reduced price. I ordered the sheets. The same poor quality sheets were recieved. They have pilled as well. I have emailed them again with my disatisfaction with their product. I have not heard anything from them. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING from this website. They are not selling what they represent.
I ordered the 11 piece luxery piece "bed ina bag" set, and matching. on 6/12/09. Withing 3 days after receiving the goods, I contacted the company that my daughter did not like the product, and I wanted to return. I was told how to do it, and followed t he instructions precisely. I had ordered them for my daughter in CA, and she was the one who packked them in the required bag with the required lble. After a month, I told her to contact them again. Itried e-mailing and calling them myself over the past 3 days, and no response.
I ordered a bedding ensemble from www.egyptianpeddler.com. I received free shipping. The first comforter I got ripped at the seams within one week. The company was nice enough to mail me a new comforter. Upon opening the box I discovered that the new comforter was ripped as well. I contacted the company, and they said to mail it back. When I asked if they were going to send me a return shipping label, the said no. These are very large items (entire comforter sets, including bedskirt, pillows, shams, etc.) I have tried to contact them concerning paying for the shipping (which was free to begin with) and they are not returning phone calls or e-mails. I have been trying to contact them for almost a month and still no reply.
