Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I ordered on 12/06/2011 and later, they were offering free specimens and I ordered them too. I was promised them before Christmas. Many calls and still no order, they said they didn't have a merchant account or something like that to charge people's credit cards. I should have seen the writing on the wall. Every morning, I would watch and Grant was doing the show, you could tell he was blasted and had partied all night. It was obvious he was putting something up his nose besides his finger. We should all get together and file a class action law suit and take Art's wonderful house and cars he bragged about so much.

I would have thought that Blue would have had more respect for himself than to get mixed up with these jokers. You can also look up Andesine online and there is an article about DSN selling it as a natural gemstone a few years ago. It was diffusion heat treated as the IGA pointed out in its article. Their stones were not all natural as represented all the time. Why do you think Andrew, I think was his name, (the black guy that liked to explain a lot about gems; also who he got the Andesine from, Thomas, and the blonde that does Gems Bond TV now on Sundays all left). We were the fools believing that they lost money on everything they sold and stayed on air so long. I knew that was crap, but I kept buying. I often wonder if the stones I got are really what they are supposed to be.

I purchased a ring on Aug. 21, 2011. I was told by the representative (after clarifying twice) that I would get a full money back guarantee if I returned the ring for any reason within 30 days. Also, I was told that the show host that evening was waiving their usual 15% restocking fee. The total amount charged to my credit card was $674.20, the ring itself costing $600. I did receive the ring, but realized it was not the quality shown on TV and so I returned it immediately. I have the delivery confirmation that it was absolutely delivered to their address on Aug. 31st. I got so many excuses from the customer reps that I spoke to when I called after not having received the refund, including that they did not get the ring back until Sept. 9, 2011.

I pointed out to him that even if that was true, it was before 30 days is up. Then of course, I was told to leave a message for "Tina" who handles all the refunds. I have called too many times to count, sent emails with no responses and of course, have never received a call from "Tina". I have communicated in writing sending my letters and proof of delivery by the US mail. Again, I know they received my communication. I have reported them to the BBB in Southern California and haven't even heard back from them as promised. On their website, DSN has an "F" rating. I will continue to log any complaints I can with any and all sites so others are not scammed out of their money. Arthur and Gary Garabedian (father and son) owners should be ashamed of themselves!

Back in July/August, I purchased 3 items on three separate occasions. These items were never shipped, but my credit card was charged. To date, I have not received the merchandise, and my card has not been credited even though I cancelled the orders. Now, they don't even answer the telephone.

I ordered an oval Ethian opal ring on May 27, 2011 at a cost of $200. I never received the merchandise. I called several times to cancel and was told that a refund would be issued. Today is April 10, 2012 and there's still no response. I would like to file this complaint against Direct Shopping Network for fraud.

On December of 2011, I ordered 4 items. They did not charge my credit card but someone tried to use my credit card at Macy's east in CA for the same amounts of my purchases. I made many calls and emails, no response. I asked to speak to a supervisor during one of my calls and was told he was on the commode. I guess I was one of the lucky ones because my credit card company alerted me of the fraud and they are investigating DSN.

I like many others am in the same boat. I ordered a number of items back in April and May of 2011. By the end of July, I ask to cancel all five items. They shipped 2 of the items anyway and I'm still waiting for the refunds. I have called customer service (useless morons) after waiting hours on hold, have been transferred to Tina, who doesn't respond to emails and have left numerous emails that are not responded to as well. I am owed around $1700. I even tried to contact Brooke ** on facebook. She didn't like what I said but did offer to help and then "defriended" me before I could send her a response. They are currently not on Dish Network anymore. I have filed a complaint with the FTC about their activities and plan to contact the CA attorney general as well as the BBB. I was a good customer. I had received many items that I was completely happy with. I just want my money back and I hope they cart Art off to jail for fraud.

Well trained customer service reps to pacify you with alot of ** with no results. Dealing with them for four months they basically they stole $700.00 from me. This company must be rich from taking orders that they never fill and have yet to refund the money.

Order was not complete. I received the gemstones but the certification of gemstone and origin I have never received. I have called and emailed with no resolve. I had to pay for the certifications at a cost of $1,000. I lost time, money and the trust I once had for DSN shopping network.

I ordered two rings in early October 2011. First, I was told 4-5 weeks. Then, it was "by the holidays". The week before Christmas, they were still promising delivery by Christmas. On Jan 3, 2012, I requested a full refund. I was assured it would be credited to my charge card within 5 days. There is no reason to believe anything they say.

I ordered a couple of zircons well before Christmas 2011. I called once and was told they had not been sent but that delivery took a few weeks. I have called (no one answers) and emailed ever since with no reply from customer service. I hope the purchase will arrive for Valentine's day but I have my doubts. I will never buy from DSN again no matter how good the deal may be!

I purchased a Ruby ring in July 2011. I returned the ring due to poor stone color in August 2011. The company agreed over the phone to refund the cost to my credit card since they said they could not replace the stone. As of November, I still haven't received my refund of $1,619.95. I've called costumer service numerous times, left on hold for 30-40 minutes each time, finally someone answers and I get transferred to the finance department to speak to Tina and my call goes directly to voice mail. I've also emailed the company. No one is responding. I'm being completely ignored.

I wished that I researched the company before the scam began. As of today I have approximately five open orders dating back to July 2011. I had many phone calls to customer service requesting cancellations with no success due to lack of delivery. They tell me it takes up to four weeks to get a refund and I guess it's more like four months.

How can a company stay in business in this country with so many complaints. Has anyone contacted the US Postal Service complaining about being charged for the shipping and never sending the merchandise? I have contacted my credit card company and supplied them with the information they need to get my money refunded. Also, I filed a complaint with the FTC and from what I can read it's not the first. What can we do as consumers to stop this company from scamming others? This needs to be stopped now!

I am still awaiting my refund for an item ordered on 07/04/11 and never received. I have filed complaints with the CA BBB, Federal Trade Commission, CA Attorney General, and LA District Attorney. I also sent a registered letter which they received on 10/03 with no reply. I have spent hours sending emails and holding on the phone for customer service with no results. Something really needs to be done about this company!

I ordered a pendant six weeks ago and have not received the merchandise. My account was debited immediately for the purchase. I called during the show airing and got a response that no one can help until 1PM to 6PM. Then, no one answers the phone ever! I sent several emails through DSN's website and never received a response. One representative told me he would take my name and number to have someone call me back, but could not make any guarantee. Guess what? No phone call. I am sick of their scam and game. The government needs to step in now.

They didn't deliver the pieces. I am trying to cancel but I can't go through the customer service. I once talked with Ashley and she told me that she needed to talk with the company to make the cancellation. After that call on the October 3rd, I never could go through them again. I tried from another phone number from my cell but nothing. Then I called the show during night-time, and I talked with Gaby. She told me that she will be putting a request to customer service to contact me but nothing happened. Then I called again and talked with Cris, who promise to leave a message to customer service; nothing again. Then I called the show during morning time, and they told me that I should keep trying customer service line. I explained that I was doing that for more than two weeks and the call didn't go through.

On the night of October 10th, I called and asked for the manager named Dwan and finally, he picked the phone. I told him what was going on, and again he told me to keep calling customer service because they don't have any power to help me.

On October 17th, I went to the Police Station in Humble TX, and they explained that I should go my bank and ask for help, as the credit cards, and I did. The Chase Bank is taking care of the debit card purchases, and I called Visa Credit Card and asked for a dispute. I am still waiting for them to take care of it. I did cancel, both credit card number and the debit card, to prevent the DSN to charge me again.

I went to the internet and discovered a lot of claims. I am losing work time and energy to solve this problem. Please, I ask for help to people like me who believe in honesty.

I am waiting for my refund. I am surprised to lodge a complaint, as I have purchased a lot of jewelry & I get your letters & ads. I bought loose diamonds, which I returned giving reasons. I charged on 8/19/11 & returned them but have not got the refund. Please do so, as I can get back to purchasing amount of $56.95. Thanks Brooks! I'll be on it, you know me!

I orderd a Ruby ring on Aug. 8th 2011. The merchandise was promised to be delivered by Sept. 6th, 2011. No one answers the phone. Finally, I got a hold of someone on the 15th of Sept. The Ruby ring still had not left DSN. I canceled the order and was told that I would receive credit within 8 business days. Still, no credit and no one will answer the phone.

I have been waiting on a refund for the non-receipt of an opal pendant ordered on 7/4. I have spent many hours on the phone holding for customer "no" service and sent many emails to which there has, to date, been no answers. I cancelled the order on 8/15 after having been given the "royal run-around" and requested a full refund. It is now 9/29 and I still have no refund. This company has scammed many people and something needs to be done about this unethical company!

I ordered an Ethiopian Opal Pendant via phone on 07/04/11 but the pendant never arrived. After many weeks and so many excuses, I cancelled the order and requested a full refund on 08/15/11. The refund has never been processed. I have spent hours holding on the phone for Customer Service and sent many, many emails. I will never do business with this company again.

I ordered a men's diamond ring on July 15, 2011. I was told when I placed the order that I would receive it fifteen days later, much to my dismay, it never arrived and I called my credit card company to cancel the order. Two months later, I found a charge on my statement for $124.82 for what looks like a restocking fee. This company has scammed many people and they should be shut down and brought up on charges. Buyers Beware! Direct Shopping Network is a major scam.

This is the fourth time I have had to chase DSN around for my merchandise.

I ordered several sets of earrings for graduation gifts and they took two months to show up. I called customer service, nothing but excuses. I sent a ring back for repairs, wore it once and a diamond fell out. I had to chase that and found out it was shipped to some lady in Washington state. That took two months.

I ordered a demantoid ring, waited five weeks and it's still not shipped. More excuses from "customer service" (if they answer). I have now been waiting three more weeks for my credit and more excuses from DSN as to why I dont have my credit. Each time they claim 24-48 hours. Weeks have gone by and still nothing. I get better service at Wal-mart.

I ordered what was shown on TV as a 1 carat Burmese star ruby. When I got the item in a not too long of a period after the order, I looked at the stone. It was really, really tiny. You could not even see the star on the face of it. It was supposed to be unheated and untreated. I took it to a well-known jeweler. They told me that it was a cheap version of a ruby and it was just one-tenth of a carat. They told me that what I paid for it was too much, and it would sell for about $45.00 if I got the right person to buy it. They told me that I got taken to the cleaners.

I called the entity regarding the order. They told me that what was sent was a one carat natural stone that was unheated and untreated. So, I am taking my case to the feds for fraud. Hopefully, the feds will do a proper investigation into these folks and put them out of business. From the rest of these complaints, it sounds as if this entity does need to go "bye bye".

On June 18 2011 I orderded some gemstones from DSN as of today, July 9, 2011 I have not received the order. They charged my credit card $115.24 on June 18th. I sent them an e-mail inquiry as to when I would receive the order......NO RESPONSE!!!!.....I called customer service on July 1, 20 11 and was told it would be shipped out immediately. I have tried customer service again and never get an answer. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company so I can recover my money.

On Dec 9, 2010, I ordered a final sale ring that was guaranteed in time for Christmas. It didn't come. So, as a person in a wheelchair, on Christmas eve, I had to rush out to buy another gift. I called them on Monday. The customer service is almost impossible to reach. They lost the ring. But many calls later, I was told that they have to authorize my refund. They told me to call back in 3 more days. They took my money on the day the ring was ordered. I was a regular and good customer, as I rely on home shopping for many things, due to disability.

I have obviously become a thorn in their side as Mr. ** (Art) made a comment on the air about me. I had made an offer on an item earlier in the day, but it was not accepted. Later in the day, I asked if it was still available and asked for it to be shown on air. With the hosts' voice in my ear while I waited for it to be shown, he asked the operator who it was for. She told him. Then, he asked what I wanted to pay. I upped my previous offer. He said, "That's crazy. She's crazy." So, I turned up my TV. And with the time delay, I heard it said on air. Then, he auctioned it for what I was offered to pay, but I dropped my phone. Though I shouted sold (not wanting to fall from my chair in a rush to grab it), hoping the operator would hear, I lost out. He then asked who it was sold to. Someone said "Gail". He said "good" and laughed, as if to snipe at me that I didn't get it. They have not apologized once, nor do they offer something like a 15% gift certificate for their errors. But they don't hesitate to take 15% restocking fee on returns. I have never returned an item and am shocked to have been treated so rudely. Goodbye DSN, but not before I get my money back.

I have bought at least a dozen or more items from this "elite jewelry store". I've gotten 2 pink diamonds, only one came. I was told the 2nd one was shipped. They had a miscommunication with the shipping dock. Now by the time it goes to the dock, it should be packaged already, unless the dock people are taking the 2nd diamond out?

These pink diamonds, I got the 2nd one 6 weeks later & it looked as if mold was in the middle. I've gotten several other white diamonds with coal spots and inclusions, after they were presented as being VS-WS, D-F and they looked on the verge of yellow. I've gotten rings where a ring came & a missing diamond was in the box with the ring. It's the wrong gold color, & this last one, that I really didn't want *** up was the worst: a pink sapphire, cushion cut 1.10ct w/ .60ct white diamonds, 18kwg. This was an auction, it was stated as being the only one, one of a kind, and so on.

This was going to be a dinner ring, to replace my wedding ring. I ordered it 5-6 months ahead of time of a function I was attending. Four and a half months later I get a ring. An orange(ish) with a splash of pink colored oval, in a setting almost like the one I bought. The pave settings were too small, and the side diamonds were much bigger. And it was too small in size. I believe they tried to duplicate that ring and failed.

Every time I called, I was told it was scheduled for shipment. For 2 weeks during "customer service" hrs, it was a recording saying to call during the times that I was calling. You never get higher up than the lady that is the head of this dept. So 6 months ago ,I bought this ring, CC charged $1300+. I sent it back Aug. 2010 and we are in Dec. and I was told they had just credited the amount back as of this last week. Well, Discover says, "No they haven't". I'm so glad I've kept all my paper work with them.

I've only kept 3 or 4 items from them. Two of them are poorly made by their standards, but nice for your average stuff. They want you to believe this is the stuff us average folks could only get close to by looking at a magazine, and even then we'd have to be able to afford the type of magazine that some of their stuff would even advertise in. And I get what I could have gotten at Kays, Zales, etc. Only the estate jewelry has held up to what you saw and heard from the two hosts. To the people that wanted a phone number...* *** *** **** main line to order & the regular customer service # and Freddie's line for in house credit is * *** *** ****. That's in case you need another angle to get your foot in their diamond encrusted door. They say shipping takes about 6 weeks, why is the stuff is right there, box it up and ship it. The shortest time I got anything was 8 1/2 weeks.

Don't waste your time w/them. They are sales people and know how to get you excited about junk. They may show you the whole exciting world to buy, but what comes to your door months later, is the outhouse with no tissue paper.

I ordered over $5,000 worth of products. I am a disabled woman and figured that I would make extra income. They kept telling me that the items were "coming." They never did. I told them to cancel my orders and they said that it would be over $400.00 for restocking fees. When I asked how they could be restocking if the item was shipped, they said the "jeweler" was making it and they needed the money for that.

So, I said, "Cancel it anyway. I'll take the $400+ hit, just put my money back in the bank." So far, over three weeks, no penny was placed in my account. I am freaking out thinking that they took my money. How can this be? As I am typing this, I've been on hold with their customer service for over 45 minutes. They work on our money, keep our money. Someone has got to stop them. Do not watch their show, complain to Dish Network and Direct TV, as they are the only two networks that carry them. I wonder why.

I have ordered numerous pendants, rings and watches from Direct Shopping Network. I have been billed and paid my credit cards but have only received 2 watches. When I have called, they said that I will get it shortly. I believe this is a scam operation as some of the products are advertised that they are selling you the item they have in their hand. Why does it take months to get a delivery?

I ordered a ring from this company on May 18, 2010. My credit card was charged effective that date for the amount of $ 265.95. As of today, June 28, 2010, I have not received the ring, nor heard anything from the company. I would like to receive the ring immediately, or have my credit card credited in the amount of $ 265.95. I have not contacted the Direct Shopping Network, since I am unable to find their telephone number. Any help you can provide me will be very much appreciated. The only problem is that I paid for merchandise in good faith, and received nothing for my money.

On April 20, 2010, I bought a Demantoid and diamond ring. My credit card was charged that day. So far, this is June 8, 2010. The ring has not been shipped to me. On or about June 2, 2010, I called asking for the ring. I was told it would be shipped no later than Friday, June 4. Today, I was told the same tale. I was told the ring would originally ship 15 days after the purchase. It is now well past that point and no one at this outfit will tell me when it will actually ship to me, if ever. The issue is simply one of a contract not being fulfilled. So far, I am out the money spent but it is not necessarily lost as I can still go to the credit card company for assistance.

I placed an order with this company on August 7, 2009. It is now September 9, 2009 and the merchandise has not left the warehouse. I know that a home shopping company is obligated to deliver merchandise within a 30 day period. The last time I ordered from them they just barely made that deadline, this time however, they will not. What is even more disturbing, is that I cannot cancel the order.
